Rightio Legends, Beaudesert's a Good 4 and the rail's True, so it's not a full Birdcage job, but it will punish runners who don't come with a plan. Let's line up the loose units and see who's here to sprint, stalk, or absolutely get involved.
Beaudesert is a "map matters" track today. Tempo's marked Slow Pace, which basically means the on-pacers aren't getting a free ride… they're getting first crack, because once the field strings out, the leaders stop being dinner and start being the chef. If you're backmarker with good intentions, you'd better hope the front bunch collapses like my willpower at 2am.
My spine for the day is the Big 3 + Multi: Weekend Spirit in Race 1, Dominator in Race 2, and Statement Of Truth in Race 5. Those are the blokes most likely to do the "hit the line" thing without needing a miracle, a passport to Paris, or a Stewards' Inquiry to bail them out.
On the value side of the ledger: Race 1 has Steady On as the sneaky better play on place, Race 2 has Catfish as the price-entitlement type, Race 6 is a chaos handicap where I'd rather be hunting a runner who's thereabouts than praying from the back row. Because praying is for church, not for Quaddie.

Race 1 is a Slow Pace Maiden Hcp where the pace-advantaged type can actually get first use of the track. Weekend Spirit (No.2) should get first dibs through the run, and Boomtown Laddie (No.3) looks like the exact sort that can improve without needing fireworks, just a better start and a lane. Steady On (No.5) is the "place saver" that might just run over the top late because the blinkers go on/off for a reason.
Race 2 is 1200m with genuine pace and Dominator (No.1) is the spear. If the race turns into a sprint from the bell, you want the horse who's already built for it, Dominator's the one. Then Catfish (No.2) is the market drift risk: you don't back drifting prices to win unless the horse is genuinely suited. But the value is there if the real race shape happens.
Race 5 at 1200m is where I'm most confident: Statement Of Truth (No.3) is the likely "lead then keep breathing" type, with Standlee and Zouslayer set up to make it a proper two-lane dogfight at the business end. If you're chasing a multi that doesn't feel like self-harm, start here.
What it means for you:
Aggression spots: be aggressive in Race 1 (Weekend Spirit) and Race 2 (Dominator), these are the kinds of races where the map does half the punting for you. If you miss them, you're usually chasing overpriced excuses for the rest of the day.
Value protection spots:
In Race 1, Steady On is your "don't overthink it" place play. In Race 2, Catfish is the value punch if you accept it's a bit more swingy. And in Race 6, you're not picking the fairytale, you're picking the most logical chaos: Scottish Pearl, with Weona Redwood and Notabadjackup close enough to turn it into a rent payment.
