Rightio Loose Units, Coonabarabran on a Soft 5 where the track's a bit soggy like your mates brain after the second round, but the early speed still matters and a few horses look like they've got engine oil in their veins. There's only 6 races, but there's enough chaos in the quaddies that you can basically hear the cash register crying already.
Track feel today: rail's True, going's Soft 5, and with those gusts out there it's the type of day where leaders can still hang on, but if a runner sneaks a rails run or gets a clean run into the straight, they can suddenly turn from also-rans into legends. Think "movie scene" sprints, then people start slipping and the script flips.
My spine for the day is simple, Meteor Mist to kick us in Race 1, Poised to keep it rolling in Race 5, and Pattera to finish the job in Race 6. That's your "big three, no arguments" approach. Then we've got a couple of place-only landmines where the map and the market say the horse will be there at the business end, just maybe not winning.

Alright legends, Coonabarabran at Soft 5 is usually a "who's brave enough to stay close?" day. You can see the map factor keeps pointing to horses that get a position early, then the last 100m turns into a footrace through sand. It's the sort of track where a winner can look like they're about to get stuffed, then the Soft 5 gives them one more gear.
Race 1 is a classless maiden scrap over 900m, and those on pace profiles look like they're about to form a little committee up front. Meteor Mist is the cleanest bet profile for me, because she's got the speed map and the confidence of the market at a price that still makes sense, with Acquisitive Art and Tucklan sitting right there as the "if you miss, at least be there" mates.
Race 2, the genuine pace is doing the work, and it's Jupiter Hills as the calm organiser with Flee With Me the one to lean on for a place angle. Then Race 3 and 4 are where you start selecting like you're building a cover band setlist, you want the hits, but you also want the song that unexpectedly slays.
Race 5 and 6 are the finish line. Poised in Race 5 is the one I want for Win because she sits in that sweet spot, and Pattera in Race 6 looks like he can control the race rhythm like he's DJing at a pub with no dancefloor.
What it means for you:
Bet smart where the map is obvious. Be aggressive in the races where the on pace types can hold their ground, and protect with place bets in the races where the Soft 5 can shuffle the finish.
