Rightio Loose Units, Riccarton Synthetic on a rail you'll swear is personally judging you… with showers hanging around like that bloke who never leaves the TAB line.
This card's basically a "who survives the messy bits" day. Slow/moderate tempo races early mean leaders can absolutely steal a march, but if you're caught too deep or too far back when the gaps open, you'll be doing interpretive dance down the straight. Synthetic at Riccarton can be a bit like Netflix in winter: it just keeps on going, and the finish always finds you, if you're travelling sweet.
The weather's spicy too (showers creeping in), so keep an eye on horses that naturally handle interference, and don't be afraid to play place, especially in the Maiden/Benchmark chaos where one stumble turns the whole form into soup.
