Meeting Stats

Punty's Early Mail

Rightio Sickos, Ascot’s dishing up a Good 4 with the rail True and a filthy southerly blowing straight up the straight like it’s trying to cancel your backmarkers. If you’re betting on swoopers all day, you’re basically buying a treadmill and calling it transport.

MEET SNAPSHOT

Track: Ascot, 1000m-2200m card
Rail: True
Official going: Good 4 (expected to play on-pace/positional)
Weather: Mostly sunny, 23°C (watch for that 31km/h S headwind up the straight - closers need a miracle and a tow rope)
Early lane guess: Fence and front-half, pinch-and-kick lane
Tempo profile: Early sprints have genuine pressure; late it turns into chaos handicaps where anything can win if you blink at the wrong time
Jockeys to follow:
C.J. Parnham — maps races like Google and rarely wastes a gate
S.D. Parnham — elite at pushing the button at the right time, especially when there’s wind resistance
B.M. Parnham — if you need a cold sit and one run, he’s your bloke
Stables to respect:
D L Morton (4 runners) — stable’s humming and they’ve got live ammo across the card
P H Jordan (4 runners) — loves Ascot, and a couple here map to absolute peach runs
N D Parnham (3 runners) — when the map suits, they’re ruthless

Punty's take:

This is one of those “speed kills” Ascot days. That southerly is a proper headwind up the straight, so if you’re spotting them 6-8 lengths and hoping for the Red Sea to part… good luck, Moses. Leaders and stalkers get a massive freebie because the ones launching late have to sustain their sprint into a wall of air.

The day splits neatly into two movies. Early: sharp little sprints where tactics matter more than vibes - if you land on-speed, you’re laughing. Late: a couple of proper open handicaps where the market’s going to be wrong somewhere, and we just need to be right once, like that one mate who only talks when he’s got something nasty.

What it means for you:

Be aggressive in races where we can map a horse in the first 4 with clean air - that’s where the wind turns into your mate instead of your enemy. In the wide-open races, don’t get brave on the nose at silly odds: play place/value, and use exotics like a filthy little spice rack, not the main meal.

Also: don’t fall in love with “best last 200m” types today. This isn’t a Marvel movie where the swooper arrives with dramatic music. This is Mad Max - if you’re not in the convoy early, you’re eating dust.

PUNTY'S BIG 3 + MULTI

These are the three bets the day leans on.
1 - Watto's Mark (Race 1, No.4) — $2.25
Why Maps sweet on-speed in the dash, and looks the most reliable early.
2 - Bohemian Diamond (Race 4, No.5) — $2.00
Why On-pace profile in a race where being handy is gold with this wind.
3 - Lillian (Race 6, No.5) — $2.45
Why The 2200m looks set up for her to lob and grind while others panic.
Multi (all three to win): $10 × ~11.03 = ~$110.25 collect

Race 1 – MCA Polytrack Hcp

Race type: HANDICAP, 1000m
Map & tempo: Moderate pace; No.1 and No.7 want to roll, the stalkers get first crack.
Punty read: The wind makes this a “be there when it counts” 1000m. If you’re leading or outside the leader, you’re basically riding with a tailwind in your bank account. The danger is traffic for anything midfield. I’m happy to anchor the proven on-pacer and take a swing at the value runner that can bounce.

Top 3 + Roughie ($20 pool)

1. Watto's Mark (No.4) — $2.25 / $1.50
Prob 95.0% | Value: 0.68x
Bet $6.00 Place, return $9.00
Why Three-start horse with upside, maps to stalk the speed and gets every chance in the lane that matters today.
2. Castle Road (No.1) — $4.20 / $2.07
Prob 28.2% | Value: 2.65x
Bet $3.00 Each Way (=$1.50W + $1.50P), return $12.60 (wins) / $58.80 (places)
Why If that last run had a genuine issue, this is the “forgive and forget” bounce-back angle - and he’s got the speed to be in the fight early.
3. Vivalda (No.8) — $18.00 / $3.90
Prob 42.3% | Value: 0.79x
Bet $5.00 Place, return $19.50
Why Honest type who keeps finding the line - if they overdo it in front, she’s the one sucking in behind them late.

Roughie: Tawaaj (No.7) — $101.00 / $34.33
Prob 21.1% | Value: 4.66x
Bet $3.50 Place, return $120.16
Why If he jumps clean and holds a spot near the speed, the wind turns this into “survive and cling on” footy.

Degenerate Exotic of the Race

Exacta Standout: 4 / 1, 8, 7 — $15
Why No.4 looks the most likely to be in the finish; this is just shopping for the right danger to fill the other slot.

Punty's Pick: Tawaaj (No.7) $101.00 Place
If he pinches cheap sectionals in front, the place is the steal of the universe.

Race 2 – TABtouch - Westspeed Platinum (Rs0ly)

Race type: HANDICAP, 1000m
Map & tempo: Genuine pace; No.4 rolls, plenty of pressure around the bend.
Punty read: Tricky little burn job. With pressure and headwind, you want something that can land midfield with cover and pop at the 250m, not something circling Perth. Market’s found a couple, but we’re not marrying the hype - we’re just dating it.

Top 3 + Roughie ($20 pool)

1. Best Mood (No.5) — $2.90 / $1.63
Prob 54.3% | Value: 0.96x
Bet $7.00 Place, return $37.10
Why If the tempo stays genuine, she’s the one who gets the last crack without having to launch from Albany.
2. Rise To Glory (No.8) — $7.00 / $4.00
Prob 54.0% | Value: 0.72x
Bet $3.00 Each Way (=$1.50W + $1.50P), return $21.00 (wins) / $12.00 (places)
Why Gets a profile that can land closer than most, and you don’t want to be giving away a start in this wind.
3. Chop Suey (No.2) — $10.00 / $4.00
Prob 32.1% | Value: 1.48x
Bet $4.50 Place, return $18.00
Why Blinkers off can settle him and keep him in the race - if he gets the right cart into it, he’s a proper chance to sneak top 3.

Roughie: Soldier Of God (No.9) — $23.00 / $8.00
Prob 10.7% | Value: 2.20x
Bet $3.00 Win, return $69.00
Why If the favs get carted into a dogfight early, this bloke can lob and jag it like a thief in a servo.

Degenerate Exotic of the Race

Quinella: 5, 8, 2 — $15
Why Open-ish race, I want coverage without pretending I’m Nostradamus on the exact order.

Punty's Pick: Best Mood (No.5) $5.30 Place
Gets the run you want in a headwind dash - just needs clear air and intent.

Race 3 – City of Belmont Plate

Race type: Open;, 1000m
Map & tempo: Genuine pace; No.7 likely drags them along, swoopers need luck and lungs.
Punty read: Proper chaos sprint with a stack of unknowns and awkward maps. With the wind, I’m happier taking runners that can either be in touch or have a turn of foot that isn’t a one-second wonder. Treat this like a horror movie: don’t go into the basement alone.

Top 3 + Roughie ($20 pool)

1. Morning Thunder (No.3) — $4.20 / $2.07
Prob 14.3% | Value: 0.77x
Bet $7.50 Win, return $31.50
Why In this sort of race, I’d rather be on something that can put itself into it than rely on a miracle from last.
2. Achy Breaky (No.8) — $4.20 / $2.30
Prob 37.4% | Value: 0.74x
Bet $5.00 Place, return $11.50
Why Has the talent to be thereabouts, and the market move says someone’s having a crack.
3. Wickiup (No.2) — $23.00 / $19.80
Prob 11.5% | Value: 1.97x
Bet $4.50 Place, return $89.10
Why Barrier 1 can be a trap or a gift - if the gaps appear, this can absolutely pinch a cheque.

Roughie: Dixie Doo (No.10) — $71.00 / $19.80
Prob 10.4% | Value: 1.77x
Bet $3.00 Place, return $59.40
Why If they go too hard and the inside turns to quicksand, the blowout can launch down the outside like an escapee.

Degenerate Exotic of the Race

Quinella: 3, 8, 2 — $15
Why I’m not boxing trifectas like it’s 2012 - give me the two-horse collect with three chances.

Punty's Pick: Wickiup (No.2) $19.80 Place
Fence draw, chaos race, and if it’s “gaps at the right time”, this is the ticket.

Race 4 – Peters Investments (Rs1mw)

Race type: HANDICAP, 1200m
Map & tempo: Genuine enough; plenty want on-pace, and the headwind makes sitting handy a cheat code.
Punty read: The kind of race where the two at the top could just bully it, but there’s a couple of juicy place angles if the speed gets messy. If you like playing “favourites get rolled”, do it carefully - Ascot with wind can punish heroes.

Top 3 + Roughie ($20 pool)

1. Bohemian Diamond (No.5) — $2.00 / $1.33
Prob 29.5% | Value: 0.80x
Bet $7.00 Win, return $14.00
Why Maps to stalk and pounce - and in these conditions that’s often the whole bloody story.
2. Rolling Ruler (No.6) — $2.50 / $1.50
Prob 52.4% | Value: 0.62x
Bet $5.50 Place, return $8.25
Why Barrier 1, economical run, and if the leaders overcook it he’s the one getting the last cheap shot.
3. Zing To Win (No.2) — $16.00 / $2.00
Prob 42.6% | Value: 0.71x
Bet $4.50 Place, return $9.00
Why Old pro who can slide into the right lane and keep punching - doesn’t need to be spectacular, just needs to be in the first half turning.

Roughie: Falcon Trader (No.1) — $46.00 / $16.00
Prob 20.3% | Value: 4.44x
Bet $3.50 Place, return $56.00
Why If he crosses and controls, he can turn this into a stingy little leaders’ picnic.

Degenerate Exotic of the Race

Exacta Standout: 5 / 6, 2, 1 — $15
Why No.5 the likely winner shape; the rest is just picking who gets the charcuterie board spot in second.

Punty's Pick: Falcon Trader (No.1) $46.00 Place
Wind + on-pace map = the perfect recipe for an “excuse me while I steal third”.

Race 5 – Croser Sparkling (Bm72+)

Race type: HANDICAP, 1200m
Map & tempo: Slow-ish; that’s scary for backmarkers with a headwind.
Punty read: If they crawl, it becomes a dash home into the wind, and that’s where “position” beats “sectionals”. I’m leaning into runners who can hold a spot and fight like they’ve got a mortgage.

Top 3 + Roughie ($20 pool)

1. Sonoftheboss (No.4) — $3.20 / $1.73
Prob 42.4% | Value: 0.63x
Bet $6.50 Place, return $11.24
Why On-pace, tough, and he loves this trip - gets every chance to be in the first three.
2. Immortal Bliss (No.7) — $3.20 / $1.00
Prob 43.0% | Value: 0.66x
Bet $5.50 Place, return $5.50
Why If they do go too slowly, the good ones still find a way to be in the finish - just needs timing.
3. Wubin Gold (No.6) — $15.00 / $4.50
Prob 34.9% | Value: 0.81x
Bet $5.00 Place, return $22.50
Why Price has eased, but if he lands closer than expected he can be the one sticking on when others fold.

Roughie: Oly's Choice (No.2) — $26.00 / $9.33
Prob 8.3% | Value: 2.79x
Bet $3.50 Win, return $91.00
Why If the leaders lane is the only lane, he’s the one who can nick it at cricket score odds.

Degenerate Exotic of the Race

Exacta Standout: 4 / 7, 6, 2 — $15
Why Race shape says No.4 is always in it; the value is which one hangs on for second in that slow-tempo kick.

Punty's Pick: Oly's Choice (No.2) $26.00 Win
If the map falls into his lap, he’s the one who can make the bookies squeal.

Race 6 – Happy Birthday Tahlia Allen (Bm66+)

Race type: HANDICAP, 2200m
Map & tempo: Moderate; some on-pace hopes, but it’s a staying grind, not a 600m sprint.
Punty read: Staying races at Ascot are where bad rides get exposed. You want a horse that can relax, build, and not get dragged into a mid-race panic. There’s a hot market push here, and it makes sense - but we’re not taking unders for fun.

Top 3 + Roughie ($20 pool)

1. Lillian (No.5) — $2.45 / $1.48
Prob 25.3% | Value: 0.74x
Bet $6.50 Win, return $15.93
Why Maps to a comfy midfield grind and looks the one who’ll keep finding when others cry enough late.
2. Audio Boy (No.6) — $4.50 / $1.00
Prob 26.1% | Value: 0.50x
Bet $5.50 Place, return $5.50
Why Draws to get the softest possible run - he’s not flashy, but he’s always there like a bad smell.
3. Snazzler (No.1) — $21.00 / $2.30
Prob 58.2% | Value: 0.63x
Bet $5.00 Place, return $11.50
Why If he doesn’t go chasing a wild run mid-race, he can just keep whacking away into the money.

Roughie: What A Prince (No.2) — $35.00 / $11.90
Prob 22.7% | Value: 1.27x
Bet $3.50 Place, return $41.65
Why If he gets to dictate a mid-race breather on-speed, he can pinch a massive place dividend.

Degenerate Exotic of the Race

Exacta Standout: 5 / 6, 1, 2 — $15
Why No.5 is the most likely to be the grinder late; the rest are the ones who can stick on for second if it turns into a war of attrition.

Punty's Pick: What A Prince (No.2) $11.90 Place
Stayers + on-pace runs = value if he’s allowed to breathe mid-race.

Race 7 – Pearce Racing Yearling Parade Tomorrow (Bm66+)

Race type: HANDICAP, 1600m
Map & tempo: Moderate; a couple of pace-advantaged runners can control, and backmarkers have to be good.
Punty read: Mile race where the wind and tempo can turn it into a “who held a spot” special. There’s no absolute standout, so don’t go swinging like you’re trying to hit a six off Warne. Play smart, take your collects, and keep a roughie place ticket for the dopamine.

Top 3 + Roughie ($20 pool)

1. Fancy Red (No.1) — $4.20 / $2.07
Prob 44.2% | Value: 0.83x
Bet $7.00 Place, return $14.49
Why Too consistent to ignore - if he sees daylight at the right time he’s absolutely in the first three.
2. Great Fortune (No.4) — $4.50 / $2.17
Prob 24.6% | Value: 1.33x
Bet $2.50 Each Way (=$1.25W + $1.25P), return $11.25 (wins) / $14.00 (places)
Why Barrier 2 and maps to lob in the first half - and that’s where winners live today.
3. Touretto (No.12) — $12.00 / $2.00
Prob 39.8% | Value: 0.77x
Bet $4.50 Place, return $9.00
Why If the speed is honest, he’s the one who can be launching while the leaders are trying to breathe through a straw.

Roughie: Bambun Boy (No.10) — $81.00 / $27.67
Prob 22.0% | Value: 8.01x
Bet $3.50 Place, return $96.84
Why Pace advantage is the only religion I follow - if he’s in front-half with cover, this is the steal.

Degenerate Exotic of the Race

Quinella: 1, 4, 12 — $15
Why Open race and I don’t want to pretend I’ve nailed the exact finishing order.

Punty's Pick: Bambun Boy (No.10) $81.00 Place
If he gets that soft on-pace run, the place price is criminal.

Race 8 – Reliable Asset Maintenance - Detonator Stakes

Race type: Open;, 1800m
Map & tempo: Genuine; No.5 leads, plenty of on-pace heat, and wide draws need luck.
Punty read: Classic “Detonator” vibe: strong tempo, plenty of contenders, and the market’s dancing. In wind-affected conditions, I’m still leaning to horses that can be within striking range at the 600m - the ones last at the bend are fighting physics.

Top 3 + Roughie ($20 pool)

1. Redback Flyer (No.13) — $5.00 / $2.33
Prob 10.4% | Value: 0.67x
Bet $7.50 Win, return $37.50
Why Tough, on-pace suited, and if he gets rolling at the right time he can break their hearts.
2. Fly With Caution (No.12) — $4.50 / $3.00
Prob 38.3% | Value: 0.79x
Bet $5.50 Place, return $16.50
Why Maps sweet on-pace and that’s a huge tick in an open 1800m where backmarkers can be left flat-footed.
3. Arcadia Park (No.3) — $15.00 / $6.50
Prob 21.0% | Value: 0.94x
Bet $4.50 Place, return $29.25
Why If they overdo it up front, he’s the one who can land the knockout punch late without going 12-wide.

Roughie: Fear The Wind (No.9) — $151.00 / $23.00
Prob 7.8% | Value: 1.24x
Bet $3.00 Place, return $69.00
Why Needs the race to melt down - but if it turns into a gasping mess at the 200m, he can swamp tired legs.

Degenerate Exotic of the Race

Quinella: 13, 12, 3 — $15
Why These are the three I want around the finish; order is a coin flip in a proper open feature.

Punty's Pick: Fear The Wind (No.9) $23.00 Place
If the tempo turns brutal, he’s the late shark when everyone else is drowning.

Race 9 – Mrs Mac's (Rs1mw)

Race type: HANDICAP, 1400m
Map & tempo: Genuine; No.12 rolls, No.10 gets a big map tick, traffic everywhere.
Punty read: Final race is peak “someone’s getting stiffed”. With the headwind, I still want the on-pace/handy runners and the ones with tactical jockeys who can pinch runs. Don’t chase losses here - this is where the meeting tries to mug you in the carpark.

Top 3 + Roughie ($20 pool)

1. De Grandhomme (No.1) — $7.00 / $3.00
Prob 10.4% | Value: 1.00x
Bet $7.00 Win, return $49.00
Why Honest type with the right jockey set-up, and the market support says it’s go time.
2. Urquharts Bluff (No.10) — $6.50 / $1.70
Prob 37.5% | Value: 0.76x
Bet $5.50 Place, return $9.35
Why Maps to be right in the stalking lane - if she gets cover, she’s in the finish.
3. I Dreamed A Dream (No.4) — $51.00 / $5.50
Prob 14.7% | Value: 0.96x
Bet $4.50 Place, return $24.75
Why If the race turns into a stop-start and the gaps appear late, she can absolutely pinch a place at cricket-score odds.

Roughie: King Mahuta (No.2) — $61.00 / $21.00
Prob 19.1% | Value: 4.71x
Bet $3.50 Place, return $73.50
Why If he lands closer than expected and the leaders lane holds, he can just keep boxing on for third like a pest.

Degenerate Exotic of the Race

Quinella: 1, 10, 4 — $15
Why Chaos handicap finisher - take the trio you trust and let the racing gods argue about order.

Punty's Pick: King Mahuta (No.2) $61.00 Place
If he’s anywhere near them turning for home, you’ll be yelling like you’re commentating State of Origin.

SEQUENCE LANES — SINGLE OPTIMISED TICKET

EARLY QUADDIE (Races 2-5)

Smart: 5,8,2,9 / 3,8,2,1 / 5,6 / 4,7,6,2 (128 combos x $0.38 = $48) — 37.5% flexi
Punty's take: R4 is the anchor leg (keep it tight), and we let R2/R5 breathe because they’re the sort that break hearts.

QUADDIE (Races 6-9)

Smart: 5,6,2 / 1,4,12,10 / 13,12,3 / 1,10,2,4 (144 combos x $0.35 = $50) — 34.7% flexi
Punty's take: Still a bit of a minefield late (as always), but we’ve avoided going six-deep everywhere like absolute mugs.

BIG 6 (Races 4-9)

Smart: 5,6 / 4,7,6 / 5,6 / 1,4 / 13,12 / 1,10,2 (144 combos x $0.38 = $54) — 37.5% flexi
Punty's take: This is the “entertainment ticket” - two tight legs keep it sane, but you’re still asking six races not to do something stupid.

NUGGETS FROM THE TRACK

1 - Headwind horror show
That 31km/h southerly up the straight is real. If your pick is last at the 300m, they’re basically running into a leaf blower.
2 - Market movers aren’t always your mates
Some are steaming in for good reason, some are just vibes. Today I’m using the moves as confirmation, not commandments.
3 - The cheeky roughie zone
If you’re going to have a filthy little play, keep it in place land and let the race shape do the heavy lifting - don’t go full Hollywood hero from the carpark.

FINAL WORD FROM THE LOOSE UNIT LOUNGE

If you’re up early, don’t get cute; if you’re down late, don’t get even. We’re here to make good bets, not emotional ones. Gamble Responsibly.

Punty's Wrap-Up

The Wrap Ascot - One filthy collect, one bloody lesson

Watto’s Mark and Lillian did the adult stuff early, Morning Thunder got the job done in the chaos sprint… then Fear The Wind turned the Detonator into a Quentin Tarantino scene. Pattern headline: headwind day = be handy and be covered, unless they absolutely scorch each other and the race collapses. End result? A proper emotional rollercoaster: we found the lottery ticket, then spent half the winnings trying to be a hero in the exotics.

How It Unfolded

Early, the preview read was on the money: that southerly up the straight made it brutal to be launching from the carpark. The sharp races were all about position, cover, and not doing anything stupid into the breeze. If you were on-speed or stalking, you were in the fight; if you were giving away big starts, you were basically running into a leaf blower for fun.

Mid-to-late, it mostly stayed consistent… until the Detonator (Race 8) went full nightclub at 2am. Genuine tempo, pressure, and a few of the “maps sweet” types got dragged into a burn. That’s when the one runner we said “needs it to melt” got exactly that — and pinched everyone’s lunch money. So yeah: the read held, but Race 8 reminded us there’s always one race where the track says “do you feel lucky, punk?”

Two legs saluted, one leg absolutely shat the bed. That’s multis, legends.

Punty's Picks — How'd They Go?

  • R1: Tawaaj Place — 8th, never travelled. Tried to hold a spot and just got found out when they quickened into the breeze.
  • R2: Best Mood Place — BANG! Won at $2.20, place collect, +$2.10. Sat where you needed to sit and kept kicking.
  • R3: Wickiup Place — unplaced, got the “fence draw might be a trap” version. In these 1000m scrambles you either get the split or you get the stiff.
  • R4: Falcon Trader Place — 9th, dream map didn’t happen. Couldn’t control it up front and once you’re exposed into that headwind, you’re cactus.
  • R5: Oly’s Choice Win — unplaced, and that slow-tempo worry proved real. Leaders controlled it and the knockout blow never arrived.
  • R6: What A Prince Place — unplaced, and this is the staying-race reality: if you don’t get to relax/run your own sectionals, you’re just burning petrol for nothing.
  • R7: Bambun Boy Place — 4th, and honestly, that’s the sickener: huge odds, just missed the cheque. The mile race rewarded the ones closer in the run.
  • R8: Fear The Wind Place — BANG! Won at $232.00, place div was $54.30. Absolute theft, +$159.90. Needed carnage, got carnage.
  • R9: King Mahuta Place — unplaced. Last race was peak “carpark mugging”, and we didn’t get the favoured run/lane when it mattered.
Punty’s Picks: 2/9 hit for +$136.50

What We Learned — The Factors That Mattered

First up: the headwind mattered. Not “a little bit”, not “maybe” — it changed the whole day. Horses that were handy with cover were gold because they weren’t forced to sustain a long, exposed run into the breeze. If you were backing swoopers on vibes, you were basically betting against physics.

Second: map over beauty. Rolling Ruler (Race 4) is the poster child — economical run, in the right spot, and it wins a race where plenty of better “on paper” horses got posted or forced to chase. Same story with Best Mood (Race 2): not a miracle horse, just the right run at the right time.

Now the misses: we got seduced by the “logical top pick” in Race 4 with Bohemian Diamond, and it was unders for the risk profile. When a race has multiple pace angles and the wind punishes anything caught three-deep, you want value or you want safety — not a skinny quote that assumes everything goes right. That thing found every way to go wrong.

The factor that defined the day: POSITION INTO THE WIND. Full stop. Next time Ascot throws up a Good track with a southerly howling, you treat it like Mad Max: be in the convoy early, get cover, and don’t assume you can storm home from last like it’s a Disney ending. The only exception is when the leaders go full FIFA button-mash and the whole race detonates… which brings us to the moral of Race 8: always keep one “if it melts” ticket in your kitbag, because that’s how you land the obscene collect.

Track Read — How The Map Played Out

The map was largely spot on: on-pace and first-half runners had a massive edge because they controlled their exposure and didn’t have to make a sustained, wide run into the breeze. Early sprints especially played like “be there to win” races — you could feel the backmarkers hitting the wall late.

Where it flipped was the classic feature-race trap: strong tempo + pressure + riders not wanting to be the one who hands up. That’s when the race shape overrides the general pattern, and you get the blowout result. Race 8 was the exception that proves the rule — it didn’t beat the wind, it beat the tempo.

Quick Hits (Race-by-Race)

  • R1: Watto’s Mark ($2.10) — BANG Place +$0.60
  • R2: Best Mood ($2.20) — BANG Place +$2.10
  • R3: Morning Thunder ($4.20) — BANG Win +$24.00
  • R4: Rolling Ruler ($3.20) — BANG Place +$1.65
  • R5: Immortal Bliss ($2.80) — BANG Place +$1.65, BANG Place (Sonoftheboss) +$1.30
  • R6: Lillian ($2.20) — BANG Win +$7.80, BANG Place (Audio Boy) +$3.85, BANG Place (Snazzler) +$22.00, BANG Exacta +$24.00
  • R7: Asif ($7.20) — BANG Place (Fancy Red) +$7.70
  • R8: Fear The Wind ($232.00) — BANG Place +$159.90, BANG Place (Arcadia Park) +$13.50
  • R9: Yougivemechills ($7.70) — swing and a miss late, none of ours in the placings
Closing Overall we got done by the “I’m smarter than the pool” stuff… but we also landed a once-in-a-blue-moon collect that’ll be talked about like an urban legend at the pub. Take the lesson: respect the wind, respect the map, and only go stupid when the price is stupid. We go again next week, same energy, slightly less donkey behaviour in the exotics. Gamble Responsibly.
