Rightio Loose Units, Broome tonight is the kind of card where the front run is basically a feature film and everyone else is just trying to find their seats before the credits. Sunny, Good 4, rail True, and the wind is giving it a bit of personality. Translation, the quick ones get every chance, and if you're hunting chaos, you want it with a route into the speed, not some spooky prayer that never went a yard.
First thing I'm looking at is tempo. Races 1, 4 and 6 are set up for runners to turn it into a real dogfight early, and that suits the on-pace patterns plus the right barriers. The value angles are coming from prices that feel a touch wrong compared to who's actually mapping to be involved.
Now the spine for your day, it's a three-pack multi that's boring in the best way: Race 2, Race 1, Race 5. If those go, you're cooking with gas. If one wobbles, at least you've got cover through the quaddie lanes.

Punty's take: This card is pace heavy by the feel of it. When the leaders are genuine, the good thing about a Good 4 is you can get away with sitting closer rather than going full hero. That's why I'm leaning into the on-pace horses in the key legs, and why I'm not getting cute with backmarkers unless they've got a real story.
Race 1 is a classic "who controls the dash, who gets held up" setup at 1435m, and I'm happy to back the on-pace winner profile even if it's short. Race 2 is the straight cash show, 1000m, and the market sort of agrees with the speed map. Race 6 is the last boss, hot tempo, and the danger is when someone tries to go too early and then dies, so I want the ones that can race in the flow.
What it means for you: Bet like you're driving the car, not riding a scooter. In the races I've got the leaders in, I'm aggressive with the win. In the races where it's more about position than pure winning, that's where the Place is doing the heavy lifting.
For exotics, don't go full lotto brain. The quaddie lanes are built to let the short-priced legs do the work, while still paying you enough to feel like you won something instead of just donated to the TAB gremlins.
