Punty's Early Mail
Rightio Loose Units, Gatton on a Soft 5, rail +2m at the weird bits, and a pace profile that looks like it could get cooked if you blink. This is one of those meetings where the front runners get the first look and the wet-ground finishers nick the rest, like they just walked in off the set of Mad Max: turning up ten seconds late and still stealing the plot.
2 things I'm feeling right away:
First, the early lanes are gold. Short prices in the middle of the card can lock in, then you swing to the value legs when everyone's staring at the same favourites.
Second, Soft 5 at Gatton means you can get away with running a little ugly, but you cannot get away with being stuck too far back. That finish will have you for breakfast.
