We've got a clear spine of three horses (my Big 3) and then we just press play race by race: who can hit the line on tired legs, who's likely to get held up, and where the value is hiding like a Carlton jumper in the back of the couch.
You can feel it in the track bias already: Soft 5 at Northam rewards horses who can keep travelling without flaming out, and with the rail true, you don't want to be a mile off them turning for home unless you're built like a late-charging missile. Heatcheck: the day's two-speed. Early races are more controlled (classes tighter, shapes clearer). Later races open up more, so we'll stay smart: place-first where it's sensible, and only go full send where the price and profile actually line up like a mate walking into the pub in the exact same shirt you wore last week.

This meeting's basically a soft-track chess match. The ones I'm backing have either (1) got the gear right to handle the softness, or (2) map like they'll get cover and room at the business end. Savienne in Race 1 is your "parked at the top of the table" horse: she's built to be strong late and on Soft 5 she just keeps doing the job. Next, we've got Dirty Habits in Race 4, that's the kind of short-priced sprinter/1300m grinder who can win without needing a miracle. And then Cosmic Spirit in Race 8 is the classic "looks like a bystander… then suddenly the race starts" type.
But don't sleep on the value needles in the middle: My Monster in Race 1 (because she's value for a reason), Hellbent For Glory in Race 2 if the visor does the trick, and Rock The Fox in Race 3 as the danger to the chalk. When things go sideways at Northam it's usually due to traffic, so you've gotta pick horses that can handle being held up or horses that naturally get there under the jockey's control.
What it means for you:
Your best strategy today is simple: be aggressive with the Big 3 spine, then fill in with place bets where the race shape suggests you'll get a run into the finish. Early Quaddie is where the card looks more "orderly", but Quaddie lanes later are where you've gotta accept you're paying for chaos. So we'll use lanes sensibly, and we won't pretend a Big 6 is some magical money tree, it's entertainment with maths attached.
Race 6 is a handicap where the market likely "over-thinks" a bit; Stolen is the kind of horse that can cruise into the right spot and just keep grinding.
