Punty's take: Strathalbyn today is one of those meetings where the first 200m tells you everything. When the leaders go, they go, but Soft 7 punishes the ones who get a sticky run or get shuffled back too far without enough air. You want horses that can either hold position without sweating, or swoop hard when the speed collapses.
From a betting angle, I'm leaning into the places early, because a stack of these maiden and class 1 types can run into the money even when they don't win.
