R1
The Big Dance Day 3rd November 2026 (Bm66)
2100m · BENCHMARK 66 · 13:35
✗ MISS -$15 Final

Race type: Benchmark 66, 2100m
Map & tempo: Slow pace, midfield types, the backmarkers need luck and room
Punty read: This is a "don't get cute" 2100m. With the pace on the slow side, you want either a horse that can sit close without doing too much, or a proper finisher that can go late when the gaps open. Joika is the market leader for a reason, she's fast through the early phases and should be in striking range when others are still travelling like they're stuck in traffic.

Calzino is that one that can make ground late, but from the map she's got more work to do. The real story for value is Fabs Cuz, she's got the type of profile that loves this kind of run, and if the speed collapses even a little, she can swoop and turn place money into something sexier.

Top 3 + Roughie ($15.00 pool)

★ PUNTY'S PICK 1. Joika (No.3) — $1.90 / $1.13 🏆 5TH
Bet $15.00 Win — ✗ Lost, net -$15.00
Prob 46.5% | Place: 70.0% | Value: 0.87x
Why Fast early sections, should get her run without being forced to do too much, and that finish is the kind you trust on a Good 4.

2. Immortal Rose (No.5) — $5.00 / $1.75 🏆 WINNER
Bet Tracked
Prob 17.1% | Place: 38.9% | Value: 1.15x
Why Only two places paid in a field this size, and skinny place divvies make savers a mug's game — this is a win-only race. Tracked, not staked.

3. Fabs Cuz (No.6) — $9.00 / $2.60 🏆 6TH
Bet Tracked
Prob 16.9% | Place: 34.1% | Value: 1.52x
Why Strong value profile, and in a slow 2100m you don't need to be a magician, just need the speed to crack.

Roughie: Fulmen Filou (No.1) — $14.50 / $3.60 🏆 3RD
Bet Tracked
Prob 5.2% | Place: 20.7% | Value: 0.92x
Why If she gets a run and lifts, sure, but this feels like a "can place if everything breaks right" type of day, and that's not the mission.

R2
Carlton United Brewery Country Boosted Mdn Hcp
1200m · MAIDEN · 14:10
✗ MISS -$15 Final

Race type: Maiden, 1200m
Map & tempo: Moderate pace, Syllable is the one to lead the dance
Punty read: This is a 1200m maiden where tempo matters, and Syllable looks like the horse with the best chance to control it. When you've got pace on your side at Tamworth, you're effectively removing half the drama.

Boot Hill is the value place play type. He's got a cleaner path to the money if the field stretches early, and if the leaders kick clear, he's the one that might be flying for third rather than thinking about first.

Top 3 + Roughie ($15.00 pool)

★ PUNTY'S PICK 1. Syllable (No.8) — $2.35 / $1.25 🏆 2ND
Bet $15.00 Win — ✗ Lost, net -$15.00
Prob 35.6% | Place: 70.0% | Value: 0.98x
Why Pace advantage, should get every chance to run the race and isn't relying on luck.

2. Boot Hill (No.6) — $6.30 / $1.85 🏆 4TH
Bet Tracked
Prob 18.4% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 1.63x
Why A real chance — but at $1.85 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.

3. Bucko's Wish (No.10) — $7.50 / $2.10 🏆 WINNER
Bet Tracked
Prob 12.2% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 1.10x
Why If the leaders tire, he's the one who can be there when the field gets sorted.

Roughie: Hidden Detail (No.3) — $15.00 / $3.60 🏆 3RD
Bet Tracked
Prob 6.1% | Place: 28.0% | Value: 1.61x
Why This is the "interference goes away and he finally shows" route. If it happens, it's big, if it doesn't, you're grateful you didn't swing.

R3
New England Shade Sails Mdn Plate
1400m · MAIDEN · 14:50
✓ WON +$10 Final

Race type: Maiden, 1400m
Map & tempo: Moderate pace, Bradford shapes like the lead-in-the-bet
Punty read: Bradford is the standout because this feels like the sort of maiden where the best runner finds a way through traffic. It's 1400m, so you get that longer "run into it" stretch, and the winner usually isn't the one that fires once, it's the one that keeps finding.

Kenisis is the danger for value, she's got place leverage written all over her if she hits the track running, and Glaze can still sneak into the mix if the race opens up late.

Top 3 + Roughie ($13.00 pool)

★ PUNTY'S PICK 1. Bradford (No.1) — $1.80 / $1.09 🏆 WINNER
Bet $13.00 Win — ✓ Won, net +$10.40
Prob 50.5% | Place: 70.0% | Value: 1.18x
Why Best overall profile in this field, should get the trip with less nonsense than most.

2. Kenisis (No.8) — $5.50 / $1.75 🏆 3RD
Bet Tracked
Prob 17.2% | Place: 70.0% | Value: 1.45x
Why A real chance — but at $1.75 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.

3. Usain Boss (No.6) — $4.80 / $1.65 🏆 2ND
Bet Tracked
Prob 12.6% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.55x
Why He can run on and fill a role, just doesn't scream value for the win.

Roughie: Glaze (No.7) — $15.00 / $3.00 🏆 UNPLACED
Bet Tracked
Prob 6.4% | Place: 34.1% | Value: 1.18x
Why If the tempo falls apart late, she could hit the line, but you're paying for the hope.

R4
Shay Brennan Constructions Country Boosted Hcp (C2)
1400m · CLASS 2 · 15:25
✗ MISS -$12 Final

Race type: Class 2, 1400m
Map & tempo: Moderate pace, and the leaders should have a say
Punty read: Dunquin and Nugget Smart are the two that look like they can keep the race organised. This is C2 at 1400m, so it's not a slog, it's a fight for position and timing. The rail being true helps the "save ground early" types, but if you're brave on the speed, you might get first crack at the finish.

The warning is that a couple of midfield runners are good enough to jump up, but the map profile says the front two and the on-pace types are the spine.

Top 3 + Roughie ($12.00 pool)

1. Dunquin (No.1) — $2.10 / $1.10 🏆 4TH
Bet $12.00 Win — ✗ Lost, net -$12.00
Prob 34.4% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 1.02x
Why Pace profile fits, and he looks like the one that makes others chase him around the bend.

2. Nugget Smart (No.6) — $4.20 / $1.55 🏆 WINNER
Bet Tracked
Prob 20.1% | Place: 29.3% | Value: 1.14x
Why Only two places paid in a field this size, and skinny place divvies make savers a mug's game — this is a win-only race. Tracked, not staked.

3. Hinto (No.3) — $6.50 / $1.90 🏆 2ND
Bet Tracked
Prob 16.8% | Place: 32.7% | Value: 1.14x
Why Can be in it late if the race opens up, but it's not the simplest lane for a bet.

Roughie: African Diamond (No.2) — $10.00 / $3.40 🏆 UNPLACED
Bet Tracked
Prob 5.4% | Place: 11.8% | Value: 0.67x
Why Needs the right run and a little luck, and that's a roughie recipe, not a banker.

✓ WON +$44 Final

Race type: Benchmark 58, 1600m
Map & tempo: Genuine pace, leaders have somewhere to go
Punty read: This is race shape land. When it's genuine pace and the leaders get an honest run, you need to back the horse that can keep applying pressure or roll into the right spot for the run home.

Need A Miracle looks like the right kind of fighter, May The Force is the value runner that can benefit from the speed, and Famahan is in the mix if the back end starts reeling late.

Top 3 + Roughie ($13.00 pool)

1. Need A Miracle (No.2) — $4.40 / $1.80 🏆 WINNER
Bet $13.00 Win — ✓ Won, net +$44.20
Prob 22.2% | Place: 55.7% | Value: 1.17x
Why In a fast 1600m, this profile suits, and he's the one that can be there when the leaders start getting tired.

2. Zou Big Boy (No.1) — $4.20 / $1.60 🏆 4TH
Bet Tracked
Prob 17.4% | Place: 48.7% | Value: 0.92x
Why A real chance — but at $1.60 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.

3. May The Force (No.8) — $4.80 / $1.95 🏆 2ND
Bet Tracked
Prob 15.0% | Place: 38.9% | Value: 1.23x
Why If the pace is genuine, the race opens, and she can pounce late without needing miracles.

Roughie: Smart Lily (No.10) — $14.00 / $3.20 🏆 UNPLACED
Bet Tracked
Prob 5.3% | Place: 24.1% | Value: 0.93x
Why She's got a chance if it's a bit messier than expected, but the main money should land on the more obvious pace setups.

1200m · BENCHMARK 82 · 16:40
✗ MISS -$16 Final

Race type: Benchmark 82, 1200m
Map & tempo: Moderate pace, short straight sprint thinking
Punty read: Concoction is the one I'm respecting. At 1200m, you don't need to overthink it, the race often turns on position and when the jockey makes the move. Concoction should get the right trip to make her kick count.

Taipan Legend is in that same "on pace and dangerous" lane, and Kaihoko is the wildcard that can sit close and run over the top if the race gets drawn out.

Top 3 + Roughie ($15.50 pool)

1. Concoction (No.7) — $4.60 / $1.85 🏆 UNPLACED
Bet $10.50 Win — ✗ Lost, net -$10.50
Prob 25.0% | Place: 61.5% | Value: 1.06x
Why She fits the pace, and this is the sort of 1200m where the right move at the right time wins.

2. Taipan Legend (No.3) — $7.00 / $2.50 🏆 4TH
Bet $5.00 Place — ✗ Lost, net -$5.00
Prob 23.0% | Place: 56.2% | Value: 1.03x
Why Strong on-paper speed, but I'm leaning Concoction to pinch the race by a nose or a length.

3. Kaihoko (No.4) — $5.10 / $1.75 🏆 UNPLACED
Bet Tracked
Prob 14.8% | Place: 54.5% | Value: 0.92x
Why Could land a cheque, but the win angle looks tighter than the top two.

Roughie: Night Fighter (No.5) — $16.00 / $3.60 🏆 WINNER
Bet Tracked
Prob 4.1% | Place: 22.3% | Value: 0.79x
Why Needs the pace to collapse and her to find room, but if that happens, she's got the late gear to bite.

1000m · CLASS 3 · 17:15
✗ MISS -$8 Final

Race type: Class 3, 1000m
Map & tempo: Genuine sprint, position and tempo control
Punty read: This is where you watch the field bunch up and think "oh shit", then you pick the right runner and hope they're the one who gets the gap first. Zampano is the favourite for a reason but he's not a free hit, Haney has the value swing, and Cosmolicious can still be there if the speed turns into a pattern.

If you're playing this race, you're basically picking who's most likely to be in the first three when the stopwatch says it's all over.

Top 3 + Roughie ($8.50 pool)

1. Zampano (No.2) — $3.20 / $1.55 🏆 2ND
Bet $8.50 Win — ✗ Lost, net -$8.50
Prob 23.2% | Place: 53.9% | Value: 0.73x
Why Classic sprint profile, gets into the race and can hang around for the finish.

2. Haney (No.5) — $5.00 / $1.90 🏆 UNPLACED
Bet Tracked
Prob 22.0% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 1.49x
Why A real chance — but at $1.90 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.

3. Cosmolicious (No.6) — $5.00 / $1.90 🏆 UNPLACED
Bet Tracked
Prob 17.9% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 1.11x
Why On-pace type, so if the race stays honest, she's right there.

Roughie: Olufsen (No.3) — $14.00 / $3.40 🏆 3RD
Bet Tracked
Prob 4.2% | Place: 20.7% | Value: 0.73x
Why Needs a perfect run and a fast enough pace to keep her chances alive.

Punty's Early Mail

Rightio Loose Units, Tamworth's got that Good 4 shine and rail true, so the quick ones can actually get rolling without getting bullied by the ground. Let's go hunting.

MEET SNAPSHOT

Track: Tamworth, 1000m to 2100m card
Rail: True
Official going: Good 4 (expected to play fair, inside can save ground)
Weather: Cloudy, 16C, dry as a dead chip, watch for a bit of gusts (7km/h-ish) that can help the early movers
Early lane guess: middle to out, but if you're on the speed you get the best of both worlds
Tempo profile: Slow to genuine across the day, so you want either class to go with the pack, or speed to control the story
Jockeys to follow:
Aaron Bullock: steady on the button, and he's landing in races where the map does the heavy lifting
Jake Pracey-Holmes: gets to the right spots, and when the gaps appear he's good at grabbing them
Nick Palmer: when he's on the point, he can make "maybe" turn into "done"
Stables to respect:
C R Clegg (1 runner): handy when they turn up under pressure, don't write off the surprise swing
Lou Mary (3 runners): likes Tamworth and their runners can ping up for money
D J Hatch (2 runners): tidy prep, and they turn up with a plan rather than hope

Punty's take:

This track is basically a game of "who controls the clock". With it being a true rail and a proper Good 4, you can lose a touch by being too far back early, but you can also run on if you've got the class. If the pace is slow, the stalkers get to do a bit of fancy work like they're in a heist movie.

Races 1 and 3 are the headline traps, because the betting looks about right on the short-priced horses, then the value creeps in around them. I'm building my day around three races where the horse profiles and pace maps actually line up, then I'm spreading a bit of coverage with a couple of sneaky place-leverage bets.

And don't ignore market support. When a horse firms and the draw or gear backs the story, that's when you buy the ticket, not when you "wait and see".

What it means for you:

If you want to be aggressive, be aggressive early. Race 1 is a classic "slow pace, value stalker, pick the right one" situation, and Race 2 is where you want to be saving your cash for the winners rather than praying for a miracle.

In the back half, Race 5 is pace-driven, Race 6 is a speed-and-class contest at 1200m, and Race 7 is a proper sprint where one mistake turns your bet into an expensive lesson. Cover the right lanes, protect the obvious, and if you're going roughie, do it because the horse has a path, not because you're bored.
