2026 Coolmore Stud Stakes
The Next Episode is our most likely winner, but barrier 14 and a short-ish price make this closer than the market thinks.
Punty's big-race previews
This is where Punty does the big ones properly. Every Australian and New Zealand Group 1 gets its own permanent page: every runner priced, the race shape mapped out, the history that actually matters, and a straight answer near the top so you don't have to read four thousand words to find it.
Punty works in probabilities, not hunches. A horse with a 25% chance wins one race in four, which makes its fair price $4.00. If the bookies offer $5.50, that's value. If they offer $3.20, it's a good horse at the wrong price, and those are two very different statements. We also strip the bookmaker's margin out of the market before comparing, because a raw $2.50 is not really a 40% chance once the book adds up to 118%.
Before the jump each preview locks. What Punty thought stays on the page, word for word, and the result goes in its own clearly labelled block underneath. No hindsight edits, no quietly deleted opinions. Win, lose or stuffed, it's all on the record.
No Group 1 racing today.

Punty makes Cormier the likeliest Derby winner, Murshidi the value, and Stormy Marco shorter than he should be.
Lady Shenandoah is the one to beat at a fair price. Surfin' Bird is the one the market's underrating.
Sheza Alibi is the most likely winner. The market has made her a much shorter price than we'd make her.
Results and the original previews will be kept here, permanently.
