But on this track today, you better have a plan for slipping, sliding, and the odd one that sneaks through like it's late for something.
This card's got that wet-track chaos vibe, where pace is still king, but it's pace with grip issues. Front-runners can absolutely hold on, yet every time someone tries to get too far back in the pack, the track steals their momentum and they get stuck in the slop like a wheelbarrow in cement. Then you roll into Race 2 and it's a 1700m maiden where fitness and position start to matter more than flash. Fiorowngood looks like the one with the "keep running" style, Justibella is there because if the pace drifts, it's her sort of race, and Needlestick is the wet-track get-it-together type that can slot into the finish.
Race 6 is the standout betting race on the card. When The Narrator's involved at 1300m in a BM, you can practically hear the stable going, "alright mate, go win it." Heavy 10 often blunts the finishers, but this bloke looks built to keep finding the line.
What it means for you:
Here's the plan, straight and simple. Be aggressive in the races where the on-pace runners have the best chance to hold their momentum, that's where your place value lives on Heavy. In other races, protect yourself, because the track can turn a good run into a "stuck behind a wall of slop" situation.
