Punty's take:
Coffs today is a Soft 5 track where speed still matters, it just has to be efficient. The rail is out enough that wide claims can come into play, but you're still battling for ground, so I want runners that get to their spot without wasting petrol.
Race 1 is a classic maiden plate where the best bet is usually the one that can actually execute in a slow tempo. I like the two main market leaders here, plus a sneaky third option around that firming support wave. If you try to back every flyer, you'll go broke like you bet the wrong scene in Mad Max.
Race 6 and Race 8 are the ones I'm treating like they owe us answers. In Race 6 the front and near-front profiles should get every chance, and the roughie is there for a reason, not because I'm bored. Then Race 8 is a sprint grind where the best horse gets first crack, and the others get stuck chasing their tails through a Soft 5 with momentum.
What it means for you:
Here's the plan, be aggressive where the race shapes look obedient, and keep your powder dry where the field spreads. Your spine is the Big 3, they're the most win-capable types across the card, and they're the ones I'd build around if we were doing this as a proper heist.
For individual races, I'm not scared of backing places when the win route is tight, especially where the tempo doesn't fully expose the closers. For the open legs in the sequences, keep it fun, but don't pretend it's a banker, it's punting, you sickos.
