For all of Punty's tips for Hawkesbury, head to https://punty.ai/tips/hawkesbury-2026-10-27

Rightio Ticket Munchers, Hawkesbury is Soft 5 with the rail out 5m through the 1100m to 450m, eight races from 1100m to 1800m and 101 runners after 10 scratchings. The early pace is mostly slow in the staying races, so the backmarkers have a real problem in the 1500m and 1800m events. The bet of the day is Dwight in Race 2, and the Big 3 leans on him.

MEET SNAPSHOT

Track: Hawkesbury, 1100m to 1800m card
Rail: +5m 1100m-450m, True Remainder
Official going: Soft 5 (1.5mm last 24hrs, 22mm last 7 days)
Weather: Overcast, gusts 37km/h. Rain risk 40%+ at 02:00 and 05:00.
Early lane guess: Unknown pre-race beyond the rail note, so watch the first two.
Tempo profile: Slow in Races 3, 4 and 5, moderate in Races 1, 6 and 7, genuine in Races 2 and 8. Dwight (No.4) is the only true LEADER in Race 2, and Miss Scandal (No.5) is the LEADER in Race 8.
Jockeys to follow:
Tommy Berry: Six rides, including Dwight (No.4) in Race 2, who is the day's headline horse. Jockey strike rate at this track is 14.9% (1248/8361).
Tyler Schiller: Six rides, with Navy Slippers (No.8) in Race 3 the one to watch. Navy Slippers has a combo strike rate of 24.5% (12/49) with his trainer.
Alysha Collett: Five rides, including Piperita (No.3) in Race 7 and Turf Luck (No.12) in Race 8. Piperita's combo strike rate with his trainer is 12.5% (1/8), so the jockey line is the thing to watch there.
Stables to respect:
C Maher (6 runners): Six runners across the card, including Water City (No.6) in Race 1 and Strike A Pose (No.1) in Race 2, both carrying T-HOT 17.0% over the last 100 rides.
Nacim Dilmi (5 runners): Federal Reserve (No.1) in Race 5 and Piperita (No.3) in Race 7 both come off a 17.1% trainer strike rate at this track (43/251).
Annabel & Rob Archibald (4 runners): Four runners, with Low Down (No.10) in Race 8 my roughie. Their trainer strike rate here is 14.6% (487/3340).

Punty's take: This is a card that rewards the horses who can get a trip without getting stuck wide. Race 2 is the banker race on the map, with Dwight sitting on the only true lead and a genuine pace with a 1.15 factor for him and Strike A Pose. Race 3 is the soft-pace maiden where the market has done most of the thinking for us, with Victor The Warrior the short price but carrying a 0.88 factor and a backmarker's map. Race 4 and Race 5 are slow-pace trips in the staying maidens and benchmarks, so the speed is the thing I'm reading hardest. Markos Port (No.5) runs the fastest sectionals in that Race 4 data, and Malbork Castle (No.2) has the best middle-distance record in Race 5.

Races 6, 7 and 8 are where the moderate and genuine paces sort the wheat from the chaff. Race 8 has the cleanest shape on the card, with Angel Hair (No.2) the one everyone is chasing and the speed in Miss Scandal (No.5) on a 1.15 factor. Race 7 is a bit of a dogfight, with Mayleigh (No.4) backed in to $3.20 and a lot of runners who can finish. I'm not chasing that one in the exotics.

What it means for you: Be aggressive on Dwight in Race 2 and on Angel Hair in Race 8, because the market has done the work and the numbers agree. Protect your bankroll in Races 3 and 5 where the staying trips and the 0.88 backmarker factors make the shape harder to read. Race 1 is an open maiden sprint with a moderate pace, so I'm backing Water City but not pretending he is a lock. The value sits at the bottom of the card, with Lady Yarrow in Race 7 and Low Down in Race 8 the roughies that can pay if the front-runners fall over.

PUNTY'S BIG 3 + MULTI

These are the three bets the day leans on.

1 - Dwight (Race 2, No.4) — $3.30
Why He is the only true LEADER in a genuine-pace maiden with a 1.15 factor, and the market has come from $4.80 to $3.30. He has yet to win on soft, so this is a pace-and-market call and I'm happy with it.

2 - Angel Hair (Race 8, No.2) — $2.75
Why He won last start at Hawkesbury 1100m, his one start on soft is a win, and the market has been hammered from $3.70 to $2.75. Class 1 is a step up but the numbers and the money both point the same way.

3 - Markos Port (Race 4, No.5) — $3.10
Why Speed rank 1 in a slow-pace 1800m maiden, the fastest L600, L400 and time in the race data, and a 2nd at Goulburn 1400m last start. The market has him at $3.10 with a 61.5% place price.

Multi (all three to win): $10 × 28.13 = $281.30

Race 1 – HRC Motel Mdn Hcp

Race type: Maiden, 1100m
Map & tempo: Moderate pace. Water City (No.6) and Laughing Moons (No.9) are BACKMARKERS, both carrying a 0.88 map factor, so the expected pace works against them. Qayed (No.11) and Time To Dance (No.1) are MIDFIELD. Hellflight (No.13), Alpha Zeta (No.14) and Kursaal (No.15) are ON-PACE. Wild Courage (No.16) is a BACKMARKER. Alpha Sort, Darn Lucky, Another Soiree, Hit The Runway, Nemera and Bull Rush Boy are UNKNOWN, so I claim no position for them.
Punty read: Water City is the one I'm putting the money on. He is the best price on the card's model for win and he has been backed from $5.50 into $4.00. His last start was a 3rd at Hawkesbury 1000m, which is the most useful run on the page. The honest worry is the 0.88 factor and the backmarker map in a moderate pace, so I'm backing the market and the win number, not pretending the pace is his friend. Qayed is the danger. He won at Warwick Farm 815m last start, but he drifted from $3.90 to $6.50 and I'm not sure where the money went. Hit The Runway picks up ear muffs and a tongue tie on first time, which is a gear story to watch, and Time To Dance is the roughie with the fastest L400 in the race data.

Top 3 + Roughie (Total stake: $9.00)

1. Water City (No.6) — $4.20 / $1.75
Bet $9.00 Win, return $37.80
Prob 12.6% | Place: 38.9% | Value: 0.53x Steady since tip
Why Backed from $5.50 into $4.00 and his last start was a 3rd at Hawkesbury 1000m, 1.6L. He is the one who has to get a clean run from barrier 5.

2. Qayed (No.11) — $6.50 / $2.40
Bet Tracked
Prob 11.3% | Place: 34.1% | Value: 0.73x Steady since tip
Why A real chance — but at $2.40 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.

3. Hit The Runway (No.8) — $6.00 / $2.25
Bet Tracked
Prob 9.0% | Place: 32.7% | Value: 0.54x Steady since tip
Why Ear muffs and tongue tie on first time, a 2nd at Warwick Farm 792m last start, and a trainer on the hot list at T-HOT 17.0%. Map is unknown, so I'm not guessing where he settles.

Roughie: Time To Dance (No.1) — $9.50 / $3.10
Bet Tracked
Prob 7.1% | Place: 24.6% | Value: 0.68x Steady since tip
Why Sectionals say L400 fastest and time rank 2, and his last start was a 6th at Warwick Farm 815m 1.8L. If the market leaders go in a bunch and the pace collapses, he is the one who can run down a tired pack.

Race 2 – 10 Years Of Racing Mates Mdn Hcp

Race type: Maiden, 1300m
Map & tempo: Genuine pace, leader Dwight (No.4). Dwight is the LEADER, with Strike A Pose (No.1) ON-PACE, Artfull (No.8) ON-PACE and Nonno's Power (No.2) a BACKMARKER. Romancastle (No.7), Extra Special (No.9), Banner Banner (No.11), Camilla's Legacy (No.12) and North Star Miss (No.13) are MIDFIELD. Extra Special carries a 0.88 factor and Strike A Pose and Dwight carry 1.15.
Punty read: Dwight is the bet. He is the only true leader in a genuine-pace maiden, both he and Strike A Pose have the 1.15 pace factor, and the market has him from $4.80 to $3.30. He is yet to win on soft (0 wins from 5, two placings), so I'm backing the pace and the price, not a soft record. Strike A Pose is the one who can make him work, with blinkers coming off first time and a win at Warwick Farm 813m last start. Romancastle has two bumped and hampered excuses on the record and is the one I'd put second in the market, but no saver for him. Nonno's Power is the backmarker roughie if the front-runners go too hard.

Top 3 + Roughie (Total stake: $13.00)

1. Dwight (No.4) — $3.30 / $1.57
Bet $13.00 Win, return $42.90
Prob 30.3% | Place: 70.0% | Value: 1.00x Steady since tip
Why The only true LEADER in a genuine-pace maiden with a 1.15 factor, and backed from $4.80 to $3.30. Second at Bathurst 1100m last start and a 70.0% place price says he's hard to beat for a place.

2. Romancastle (No.7) — $4.20 / $1.75
Bet Tracked
Prob 17.7% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.74x Steady since tip
Why A real chance — but at $1.75 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.

3. Arantu (No.3) — $5.50 / $2.10
Bet Tracked
Prob 10.6% | Place: 38.9% | Value: 0.58x Steady since tip
Why Ear muffs ON first time and a 5th at Beaumont 1000m last start. The jockey J@trk is 16.8% (595/3548) and the combo with the trainer is 25%, which is a line I can't ignore.

Roughie: Nonno's Power (No.2) — $10.00 / $3.00
Bet Tracked
Prob 7.2% | Place: 29.3% | Value: 0.72x Steady since tip
Why Blinkers come off first time and he's a BACKMARKER with a 6.0 speed rank. If Dwight and Strike A Pose burn each other off in a genuine pace, he is the one who gets the lane.

Race 3 – A Little Connection Goes A Long Way Provincial Mdn Plate

Race type: Maiden, 1500m
Map & tempo: Slow pace. Waking Resources (No.3) is ON-PACE and the speed rank 1 horse in the field. Lindos (No.7) is ON-PACE. Classic Two (No.1), Ying Moon (No.5), El Pablo (No.11) and Show Me The Monet (No.2) are MIDFIELD or UNKNOWN. Victor The Warrior (No.13), Circus Girl (No.6), Navy Slippers (No.8), Simmering (No.9), Spud Gun (No.10) and Springys Thinken (No.12) are BACKMARKERS. Ying Moon, Circus Girl, Simmering and Victor The Warrior carry a 0.88 factor.
Punty read: Victor The Warrior is the bet and I'm not pretending the slow pace suits a backmarker. He is the shortest price in the race at $3.20, carries a 0.88 factor and has one start on good with no placings. His last start was a 4th at Newcastle 1300m, and the best value line in the field is Navy Slippers at $7.50 with a 1.60 value. Classic Two is the one who looks the most consistent. Waking Resources sits on the speed in a slow pace, and his last start was an 8th at Hawkesbury 1100m with a raced wide, bumped and hampered excuse on the record.

Top 3 + Roughie (Total stake: $13.00)

1. Victor The Warrior (No.13) — $3.20 / $1.55
Bet $13.00 Win, return $41.60
Prob 18.4% | Place: 47.4% | Value: 0.59x Steady since tip
Why Shortest price in the race, a 4th at Newcastle 1300m last start, and the 1st-up and good record is a 1 start, no placings sample. The slow pace is the honest risk.

2. Classic Two (No.1) — $4.60 / $1.85
Bet Tracked
Prob 18.0% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.83x Steady since tip
Why A real chance — but at $1.85 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.

3. Waking Resources (No.3) — $5.50 / $2.10
Bet Tracked
Prob 17.0% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.94x Steady since tip
Why ON-PACE with the speed rank 1 horse in a slow pace, and backed from $8.50 into $5.50. Last start was an 8th at Illawarra Grange 1450m, 5.1L, so the form is patchy.

Roughie: Lindos (No.7) — $9.50 / $3.00
Bet Tracked
Prob 7.6% | Place: 29.3% | Value: 0.73x Steady since tip
Why ON-PACE, 2kg up from last start and the record says best at similar weights. A 2nd at Bathurst 1400m last start makes him the one to land a place if the pace doesn't cook.

Race 4 – Let's Talk Mdn Plate

Race type: Maiden, 1800m
Map & tempo: Slow pace. Markos Port (No.5) is MIDFIELD and the speed rank 1 horse, with Ausbred Eclipse (No.1), Frankie's Boy (No.3), Gold Cup (No.7) and Vision In A Dream (No.9) mostly MIDFIELD or BACKMARKER. Balmain Warrior (No.2) is ON-PACE. Wizard's Star (No.6), Vision In A Dream (No.9), Scoish Maloish (No.11) and Kawerau (No.4) are BACKMARKERS, with Wizard's Star, Vision In A Dream and Scoish Maloish carrying a 0.88 factor.
Punty read: Markos Port is the bet. He is the speed rank 1 horse in a slow-pace 1800m maiden and the fastest L600, L400 and time in the race data. His last start was a 3rd at Warwick Farm 1600m, and the market has him at $3.10 with a 61.5% place price. Rye Manhattan has the strongest trainer and jockey combination on the page, but his place price doesn't pay enough to back him. Vision In A Dream picks up winkers on first time, and he had a 3rd at Kembla Grange 1500m last start. Gold Cup is the value horse, with a 1.44 value and a 2nd at Goulburn 1400m last start.

Top 3 + Roughie (Total stake: $13.00)

1. Markos Port (No.5) — $3.10 / $1.52
Bet $13.00 Win, return $40.30
Prob 26.3% | Place: 59.0% | Value: 0.82x Steady since tip
Why Speed rank 1, fastest sectionals in the race data, and a 3rd at Warwick Farm 1600m last start. The market has him from a short price to a shorter one, and that's where I'm happy.

2. Rye Manhattan (No.12) — $4.20 / $1.80
Bet Tracked
Prob 17.2% | Place: 51.8% | Value: 0.72x Steady since tip
Why A real chance — but at $1.80 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.

3. Vision In A Dream (No.9) — $4.80 / $1.90
Bet Tracked
Prob 14.7% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.71x Steady since tip
Why Winkers on first time, a 2nd and a 3rd in his last two starts, and the market has firmed from $5.50 to $4.80.

Roughie: Frankie's Boy (No.3) — $11.00 / $3.30
Bet Tracked
Prob 6.2% | Place: 24.4% | Value: 0.69x Steady since tip
Why Sectionals rank 2 at both L600 and L400, and a 4th at Goulburn 1600m last start. He's winless so far, so the path is a strong finish if the slow pace leaves the field bunched.

Race 5 – St Johns Park Bowling Club Midway (Bm64)

Race type: Benchmark 64, 1800m
Map & tempo: Slow pace. Malbork Castle (No.2), He's Got Grunt (No.4), Federal Reserve (No.1) and Derry City Felix (No.10) are all MIDFIELD. My Cartouche (No.8) is ON-PACE. Bearings (No.3), C'mon Flyer (No.5) and Don's Party (No.6) are BACKMARKERS, and Bearings and Queen Tavane (No.11) carry a 0.88 factor.
Punty read: Malbork Castle is the bet. He has two wins from three starts on this track, 2nd at Hawkesbury 1500m last start and the market has come from $3.70 down to shorter in the race data. He's 2kg up on last start and the record says best at lighter weights, which is a hurdle I'm willing to take on. He's Got Grunt won at Hawkesbury 1600m last start and is firming, so the second line in the market is strong. Federal Reserve is the one with the bumped and hampered excuse from Rosehill, a dangerous horse if the race is run back to him.

Top 3 + Roughie (Total stake: $7.50)

1. Malbork Castle (No.2) — $3.70 / $1.65
Bet $7.50 Win, return $27.75
Prob 23.2% | Place: 52.7% | Value: 0.86x Steady since tip
Why Two wins from three on track, 2nd at Hawkesbury 1500m last start, and the strongest place price on the card in his line. He is 2kg up on last start, which is the only knock.

2. He's Got Grunt (No.4) — $4.40 / $1.80
Bet Tracked
Prob 18.6% | Place: 49.1% | Value: 0.82x Steady since tip
Why A real chance — but at $1.80 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.

3. Federal Reserve (No.1) — $5.50 / $2.05
Bet Tracked
Prob 13.9% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.76x Steady since tip
Why 4kg up on last start and bumped and hampered at Rosehill 1400m. Soft 4:1-0-0 is the best line he has.

Roughie: Derry City Felix (No.10) — $12.00 / $3.20
Bet Tracked
Prob 8.5% | Place: 32.7% | Value: 1.02x Steady since tip
Why 4kg down on last start, the record says best at heavier weights, and Track 4:0-1-1. If the top two get into a tangle in a slow pace, he is the one who can run through a gap.

Race 6 – You Are Not Alone Midway (Bm64)

Race type: Benchmark 64, 1400m
Map & tempo: Moderate pace. Pentagon (No.4) is the only pace advantaged runner at 1.15. Duke Of Arrakis (No.1), Chappy (No.2), Pentagon (No.4) are ON-PACE. Superata (No.3), Fitzclarence (No.6), River Jordan (No.8), Good'n'you (No.9) and Jolly Good Fellow (No.10) are MIDFIELD. Blow In (No.5) is a BACKMARKER.
Punty read: Good'n'you is the bet. He has been backed from $5.50 into $3.50 and his last start was a 5th at Randwick-Kensington 1250m. His Newcastle 1250m 3rd at 13 starters is the run I'd point to, and the sectionals say fastest L600 and L400 in the race data. The jockey and trainer are both cold at the moment, which is the risk, so I'm backing the horse and the market, not the stable heat. Duke Of Arrakis is the one on the speed map who can make it a fight.

Top 3 + Roughie (Total stake: $10.50)

1. Good'n'you (No.9) — $3.50 / $1.57
Bet $10.50 Win, return $36.75
Prob 19.6% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.69x Steady since tip
Why Backed from $5.50 into $3.50, and the fastest L600 and L400 in the race data. Jockey and trainer are cold lately, so I'm pricing that in.

2. Duke Of Arrakis (No.1) — $4.60 / $1.72
Bet Tracked
Prob 19.1% | Place: 57.2% | Value: 0.88x Steady since tip
Why A real chance — but at $1.72 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.

3. Superata (No.3) — $4.50 / $1.65
Bet Tracked
Prob 18.5% | Place: 61.5% | Value: 0.83x Steady since tip
Why Sectionals rank 2 at L600, L400 and time, and a 1st at Nowra 1400m earlier. He's the one with the strongest record at the distance.

Roughie: Pentagon (No.4) — $10.00 / $2.75
Bet Tracked
Prob 8.1% | Place: 32.7% | Value: 0.81x Steady since tip
Why The only 1.15 pace advantage in the race, ON-PACE, and a 6th at Hawkesbury 1100m last start. If the moderate pace gets stronger in the middle, he gets the run he needs.

Race 7 – Racing Mates BBQ At Hawkesbury (Bm64)

Race type: Benchmark 64, 1400m
Map & tempo: Moderate pace. Monkhana (No.1) is the pace advantaged runner at 1.15 and ON-PACE. Ouragan (No.7), Lady Yarrow (No.5) are ON-PACE. Alabama Charm (No.8), Tulipwood (No.6), Emerald Hills (No.2) and Flaming Moon (No.9) are MIDFIELD. Mayleigh (No.4) and Piperita (No.3) are BACKMARKERS.
Punty read: Mayleigh is the bet. He has been backed from $4.00 to $3.20 and his last start was a 2nd at Kembla Grange 1600m. He's a BACKMARKER in a moderate pace, which is the test, but a 1st at Kembla Grange 1400m earlier in his preparation says he can win from off the speed. Alabama Charm picks up a blinkers OFF first time change, which is the gear I'm watching most, and a 1st at Canberra 1600m last start. Piperita is the value runner with blinkers OFF again and visors ON first time. Monkhana is pace-advantaged but has a 7kg jump up on last start.

Top 3 + Roughie (Total stake: $10.50)

1. Mayleigh (No.4) — $3.20 / $1.45
Bet $10.50 Win, return $33.60
Prob 21.8% | Place: 53.7% | Value: 0.70x Steady since tip
Why Backed from $4.00 to $3.20, a 2nd at Kembla Grange 1600m last start, and Dist 2:1-0-1 says the trip suits. He's 3kg up on last start, which the record says he handles at lighter weights.

2. Alabama Charm (No.8) — $5.50 / $1.75
Bet Tracked
Prob 15.6% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.86x Steady since tip
Why A real chance — but at $1.75 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.

3. Emerald Hills (No.2) — $7.00 / $2.25
Bet Tracked
Prob 13.6% | Place: 38.9% | Value: 0.95x Steady since tip
Why Soft 4:2-0-1 is the record that counts, trainer T-HOT 15.0% over the last 100 rides, and the market has drifted from $5.00 to $7.00.

Roughie: Lady Yarrow (No.5) — $13.00 / $3.10
Bet Tracked
Prob 5.9% | Place: 24.4% | Value: 0.77x Steady since tip
Why 2nd at Hawkesbury 1300m last start, Soft 10:2-2-1 and a slow start excuse at Kembla Grange 1500m. The drift from $10.00 to $13.00 is the one question I'd want answered.

Race 8 – It's OK Not To Be OK Hcp (C1)

Race type: Class 1, 1100m
Map & tempo: Genuine pace, leader Miss Scandal (No.5) on a 1.15 factor. Scuro Star (No.8), Isn't She Autumn (No.9), Turf Luck (No.12) and Angels Cloud (No.13) are ON-PACE. Angel Hair (No.2), Steel Knight (No.1), Seductra (No.6), Sacrosanct (No.7), Low Down (No.10) and Captivating Tycoon (No.11) are MIDFIELD.
Punty read: Angel Hair is the bet. He won at Hawkesbury 1100m last start, the market has come from $3.70 to $2.75, and the sectionals say time fastest. He's the speed rank 1 horse on a 1.00 factor, and the jockey and trainer combination is 28.7% (37/129). He has never been out of the money on his sole soft start, but his record is short, so the risk is the class step. Scuro Star is the one who picks up the pace if Miss Scandal goes too quick, with a 1st at Hawkesbury 1100m earlier in his campaign.

Top 3 + Roughie (Total stake: $15.00)

1. Angel Hair (No.2) — $2.75 / $1.40
Bet $15.00 Win, return $41.25
Prob 29.1% | Place: 61.0% | Value: 0.80x Steady since tip
Why Won at Hawkesbury 1100m last start, the market has come from $3.70 to $2.75, and the speed rank 1 horse is the one I'd build around. One soft start and a win.

2. Scuro Star (No.8) — $5.50 / $2.00
Bet Tracked
Prob 16.4% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.90x Steady since tip
Why A real chance — but at $2.00 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.

3. Miss Scandal (No.5) — $6.00 / $2.15
Bet Tracked
Prob 14.0% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.84x Steady since tip
Why The speed in a genuine pace on a 1.15 factor, with cross-over nose band ON first time and the market moving from $8.50 to $6.00.

Roughie: Low Down (No.10) — $11.00 / $3.10
Bet Tracked
Prob 6.2% | Place: 24.4% | Value: 0.69x Steady since tip
Why Goulburn 1100m winner last start, 1st at Goulburn and a 2nd at Tamworth earlier. The sectionals are fastest at L600 and rank 2 at L400, so if the front-runners go too hard he can run past them.

Smart: 6,11,8 / 4,7,3 / 13,3,1 / 5,12,9 (81 combos x $0.3086 = $25.00) -- 30.9% flexi
Punty's take: Race 2 is the tight leg with Dwight and Romancastle, while Race 1 and Race 3 are open enough that the ticket lives or dies on those two. Race 4 with Markos Port, Rye Manhattan and Vision In A Dream is the reasonable one. This is a high-risk, high-payout ticket, and the 34.7% flexi is the number to watch.

QUADDIE (R5–R8)

Smart: 2,4,1 / 3,1,9 / 4,8,2 / 2,8,5 (81 combos x $0.3086 = $25.00) -- 30.9% flexi
Punty's take: Race 8 with Angel Hair and Scuro Star is the banker leg and Race 6 is the open one with Good'n'you and Duke Of Arrakis. Race 7 is wide with four runners, and that's where the money goes. 34.7% flexi, solid play if you're happy to chase the quaddie.

BIG 6 (R3–R8)

Smart: 13,3,1,7 / 5,12,9,3 / 2,4,1,10 / 3,1,9,4 / 4,8,2,5 / 2,8,5,10 (4096 combos x $0.00122 = $5.00) -- 0.12% flexi
Punty's take: Six legs, a 3840-combo field, and only 0.13% flexi. This is an entertainment ticket more than a money ticket, so keep the stake small and enjoy the ride if it comes up in the last two races.

NUGGETS FROM THE TRACK

1 - Blinkers come off
Strike A Pose (No.1) has blinkers OFF first time in Race 2, and his last start was a 1st at Warwick Farm 813m. Watch the market on him before the jump.

2 - Soft one-start wonder
Angel Hair (No.2) has one start on soft and it was a win, and he won last start at Hawkesbury 1100m. The market has been hammering him from $2.75 to $2.75.

3 - Yet to win on soft
Dwight (No.4) has 0 wins from 5 on soft with two placings, and the market still has him at $3.30. Either the market knows something I don't, or it's paying for the pace.

FINAL WORD FROM THE SICKO SANCTUARY

Dwight, Angel Hair and Markos Port are my three, and if they all land I'll be sitting at the bar telling everyone I called it, which is the best kind of lie there is. Keep the stakes honest and the mates close.
