1590m · Maiden; · 14:00
✗ MISS -$11 Final

Race type: Maiden Plate, 1590m
Map & tempo: Slow Pace, key danger horses are in midfield while the speed stays lazy.
Punty read: This is the sort of maiden where the winner isn't always the flashiest early, they're the one who finds the galloping lane before the rest realise they're cooked. The Cellist and Daring Prince look like they'll do the work when others are still thinking about it. Fierce Ruby is the "fast late sections" threat if the field bunches up.
Place looks the better game than win only, because in slow tempo races the trouble is usually in the gap, not at the line.

Top 3 + Roughie ($11.40 pool)

1. The Cellist (No.11) — $2.90 / $1.62 🏆 4TH
Bet $11.40 Win — ✗ Lost, net -$11.40
Prob 29.6% | Place: 44.2% | Value: 1.27x
Why She's built for this sort of race shape, and if she lands closer than expected, she's finishing like she owns the last 200m.

2. Daring Prince (No.10) — $3.10 / $1.65 🏆 3RD
Bet Tracked
Prob 28.9% | Place: 44.1% | Value: 1.28x
Why Only two places paid in a field this size, and skinny place divvies make savers a mug's game — this is a win-only race. Tracked, not staked.

3. Sheza Raveela (No.8) — $6.00 / $2.35 🏆 WINNER
Bet Tracked
Prob 13.8% | Place: 21.7% | Value: 1.23x
Why Only two places paid in a field this size, and skinny place divvies make savers a mug's game — this is a win-only race. Tracked, not staked.

Roughie: Thinkimacelebrity (No.3) — $26.00 / $5.50 🏆 2ND
Bet Tracked
Prob 2.9% | Place: 12.2% | Value: 0.72x
Why If she's a winner, it'll be because the pace collapses and she somehow gets first run on the straight.

✗ MISS -$13 Final

Race type: Maiden Plate, 1400m
Map & tempo: Slow Pace, on-pacers matter, midfielders need a clean ride.
Punty read: In this kind of maiden, it's often about who gets the first proper run, not who looks best on paper. Tommy's Lass has the profile of a horse who can park in the play and hit the line with purpose. Brenin is the "if the gaps appear early" threat. Shameful Impulse is the sort that can make a nuisance of herself if she finds the corridor.
Lady Rebel is drifting around like she's waiting for a mate to arrive, and this is a race where you can't wait too long.

Top 3 + Roughie ($13.00 pool)

1. Tommy's Lass (No.14) — $2.85 / $1.45 🏆 2ND
Bet $13.00 Win — ✗ Lost, net -$13.00
Prob 34.0% | Place: 69.0% | Value: 0.81x
Why She's got the speed to be in the race early and the market still respects it, even if value is screaming "watch the forecast" not "go nuts."

2. Brenin (No.10) — $4.20 / $1.80 🏆 3RD
Bet Tracked
Prob 30.5% | Place: 69.0% | Value: 1.45x
Why A real chance — but at $1.80 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.

3. Shameful Impulse (No.13) — $8.50 / $2.15 🏆 WINNER
Bet Tracked
Prob 10.7% | Place: 56.2% | Value: 1.18x
Why Price makes sense for place, but for win you want more certainty than this setup offers.

Roughie: Bloomin' Rich (No.9) — $10.00 / $2.40 🏆 4TH
Bet Tracked
Prob 7.9% | Place: 34.1% | Value: 0.82x
Why She's got a shot for a slice if the race falls apart, but she's not the main path to the cash.

✓ WON +$42 Final

Race type: Maiden Plate, 1200m
Map & tempo: Moderate Pace, on-pace types should get every opportunity.
Punty read: This 1200m maiden is all about position in the first half, then your horse either floats to the front or it gets boxed and has a bad day. Zane Zena is the standout fit, she's got the "easy enough to find a run" look and the market still treats her like a real threat. Snitzel Tycoon is the danger for place, Vendors Vision is the next one for the trifecta types.
Storming Camelot is the roughie, and she'll need the pace to create a highway.

Top 3 + Roughie ($15.00 pool)

1. Zane Zena (No.8) — $3.80 / $1.65 🏆 WINNER
Bet $15.00 Win — ✓ Won, net +$42.00
Prob 21.9% | Place: 69.0% | Value: 1.09x
Why Clean 1200m profile, and if she settles in range, she's too hard to ignore late.

2. Snitzel Tycoon (No.12) — $5.00 / $2.00 🏆 2ND
Bet Tracked
Prob 15.5% | Place: 47.6% | Value: 0.52x
Why A real chance — but at $2.00 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.

Prob 13.6% | Place: 52.1% | Value: 0.99x

Roughie: Storming Camelot (No.3) — $12.00 / $3.30 🏆 4TH
Bet Tracked
Prob 7.4% | Place: 28.5% | Value: 1.19x
Why If she can ride the tempo like a jockey, she can blow it open late, otherwise she's just feeding the placings.

✗ MISS -$3 Final

Race type: Benchmark 62, 1200m
Map & tempo: Genuine Pace, leaders and stalkers get paid.
Punty read: This is the type of race where you either respect the front-runner and get out early, or you watch them skip away like it's a training DVD. Hell's Diamond has the best right-to-run story. Coco De Luxe is the immediate danger, and Koolatah Queen is the cheap place insurance because she can hang on when others fade.
If Titan Of Choice starts awkwardly, he's the one you'll see get buried, but if he jumps and gets covered, he can still run into it.

Top 3 + Roughie ($10.50 pool)

★ PUNTY'S PICK 1. Hell's Diamond (No.5) — $3.40 / $1.45 🏆 3RD
Bet $10.50 Each Way ($5.25W + $5.25P) — Cashed, net -$2.89
Prob 38.6% | Place: 69.0% | Value: 1.76x
Why This is his race shape, first serious shot at an ideal trip, and the market backing plus the gear change screams intent.

2. Coco De Luxe (No.2) — $4.20 / $1.60 🏆 UNPLACED
Bet Tracked
Prob 22.4% | Place: 69.0% | Value: 1.13x
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.

3. Koolatah Queen (No.9) — $2.74 / $1.14 🏆 4TH
Bet Tracked
Prob 14.2% | Place: 61.4% | Value: 0.48x

Roughie: Paparazzo (No.4) — $9.80 / $2.65 🏆 2ND
Bet Tracked
Prob 8.6% | Place: 36.3% | Value: 1.04x

✓ WON +$19 Final

Race type: Benchmark 56, 1590m
Map & tempo: Slow Pace, on-pace types have to actually stay on the bridle.
Punty read: Midfield chances get boosted at this distance because you get time to lose and then time to fix it. Aka Daka looks like the right sort to sit in a pocket and keep answering. Hotei Senshi can be the one who almost wins, then gets mugged by the extra stride. Star Royal and Spietata are the "you'll see them late if you're looking" crew.
Qubella is a live swing for place and trifecta chaos, but the win is where you need a perfect run.

Top 3 + Roughie ($13.00 pool)

1. Aka Daka (No.2) — $3.40 / $1.52 🏆 WINNER
Bet $13.00 Each Way ($6.50W + $6.50P) — ✓ Won, net +$18.98
Prob 32.2% | Place: 69.0% | Value: 1.39x
Why He's built to handle the slow-flow grind, and he's the one most likely to still be in control at the business end.

2. Hotei Senshi (No.3) — $3.10 / $1.45 🏆 5TH
Bet Tracked
Prob 29.3% | Place: 69.0% | Value: 0.74x
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.

3. Star Royal (No.8) — $6.00 / $2.10 🏆 6TH
Bet Tracked
Prob 13.4% | Place: 53.8% | Value: 1.08x
Why Can place, but win needs more luck.

Roughie: Spietata (No.4) — $9.00 / $2.25 🏆 2ND

Prob 9.1% | Place: 40.3% | Value: 1.01x

✗ MISS -$10 Final

Race type: Benchmark 56, 1400m
Map & tempo: Moderate Pace, pace-advantaged runners should stalk and pounce.
Punty read: This one's got a pretty clear shape. Brutify is in the sweet spot, More Highs On Me is the obvious danger, and Hustle is the placey roughie that gets you a result when others miss by a whisker.
Brazen Warrior is the sort to run a good race without ever being the best horse, that is his speciality unfortunately.

Top 3 + Roughie ($10.50 pool)

1. Brutify (No.7) — $3.70 / $1.65 🏆 UNPLACED
Bet $10.50 Win — ✗ Lost, net -$10.50
Prob 27.9% | Place: 69.0% | Value: 1.16x
Why Pace lines up for him, he's got the look of a horse who can get the right run without getting trapped.

2. More Highs On Me (No.8) — $3.50 / $1.62 🏆 UNPLACED
Bet Tracked
Prob 20.9% | Place: 69.0% | Value: 0.90x
Why A real chance — but at $1.62 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.

3. Brazen Warrior (No.2) — $5.50 / $2.15 🏆 UNPLACED
Bet Tracked
Prob 12.5% | Place: 60.0% | Value: 0.80x
Why Could run a race, but win value isn't clean enough.

Roughie: Hustle (No.5) — $10.00 / $3.20 🏆 4TH
Bet Tracked
Prob 12.2% | Place: 48.7% | Value: 1.41x
Why Place bet is the money here, he's the "stays in the fight" type when the race gets busy.

✓ WON +$17 Final

Race type: Benchmark 56, 1100m
Map & tempo: Genuine Pace, short race where being in the first couple is everything.
Punty read: Forever With Ned looks like the one who can keep his form honest at sprint speed. Yellowknife is the speed threat vibe too, Shelly's Legacy is the improver type, and Black Panther is the roughie for the exotics punters that like living dangerously.
This is the race where a bad beginning is basically a tax, so I'm backing the horse that looks most likely to jump and keep grinding.

Top 3 + Roughie ($10.50 pool)

★ PUNTY'S PICK 1. Forever With Ned (No.3) — $2.60 / $1.40 🏆 WINNER
Bet $10.50 Win — ✓ Won, net +$16.80
Prob 37.5% | Place: 69.0% | Value: 1.17x
Why Built for 1100m speed pressure, and the map says he'll be there when the field collapses into the last straight.

2. Yellowknife (No.5) — $4.80 / $1.85 🏆 2ND
Bet Tracked
Prob 17.7% | Place: 59.5% | Value: 0.93x
Why A real chance — but at $1.85 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.

3. Shelly's Legacy (No.6) — $6.40 / $1.85 🏆 UNPLACED
Bet Tracked
Prob 12.3% | Place: 53.8% | Value: 0.94x

Bet Tracked
Prob 9.1% | Place: 33.4% | Value: 1.20x
Why If the pace really tears, he can jump up and steal a finish, but he's not the straight line plan.

Punty's Early Mail

Rightio Loose Units, we've got a Good 4 day where the speed either gets to enjoy itself, or it gets cooked, one of the two. Wodonga's doing that thing where the rail's true and the tempo decides your whole evening, so we're going in with a spine and a bit of controlled chaos.

MEET SNAPSHOT

Track: Wodonga, 1100m-1590m card
Rail: True Entire Circuit
Official going: Good 4 (expected to play Fairly on-pace, natural lanes)
Weather: Partly cloudy, 17C, humidity 49%, windy as hell with gusts hitting 40.8km/h, watch for a cross-field slugfest, especially on the shorter sticks.

Early lane guess: Quaddie lanes are pretty "banker early, wider later" vibes, R4 and R7 look tightest.
Tempo profile: Slow to moderate flow early, then genuine pace injected in the sprinty middle. If you're off the speed in the wrong race, you'll be hunting shadows.
Jockeys to follow:
Brad Rawiller: the sort of bloke who makes mares and men behave, he keeps showing up when the race shape lines up.
Lachlan King: when he gets first go at the tempo, he's hard to knock.
Billy Egan: good hands in these provincial setups, expect him to be in the right spot rather than the flashy one.
Stables to respect:
Ben, Will & Jd Hayes (split attention through the meeting, especially R4 gear and R1 maidens): they've got a habit of flipping the switch.
Craig Weeding (a few runners with pace profiles): there's often a reason their horses are in the fight early.
Patrick Payne (watch the midfield rollers): they can get them positioned like a chess problem.

Punty's take:

This meeting is basically a tale of two tempos. Early races sit there like a traffic jam, then later we get sprint pressure and suddenly everyone wants to be somewhere. So in the maidens, I'm leaning into the ones that either have a cleaner path from the gate or are properly set up with gear. Wodonga on Good 4 punishes the "too far back, praying at the 100m" strategy, unless the horse is just better.

The big story though is R4 and R7. R4 has an absolute stand-out in Hell's Diamond, and when the market firms like that, it's usually because the race plan is simple, lead or stalk, and then get out the way. R7 is another where Forever With Ned looks like the type to answer the starter cleanly, then keep rattling through the straight.

What it means for you:

Game plan: be aggressive where the pace is friendly and the betting is telling the truth. That means your "banker material" is R4, and your "value aggression" sits in the combo spine with Tommy's Lass and Forever With Ned. For everything else, we've got enough place value flavour to keep you alive when the first three turn it into a demolition derby.

If you're only putting a couple bets in, do it like this, Trust the spine, and don't get fancy in races where the field is messy and the tempo's unpredictable. If you're chasing quaddie action, keep the sequences tight in R4 to R5, then allow a bit more width into R6 and R7 because sprint races love chaos like it's Netflix.
