Alright, here's the vibe. Good 4 at the Coast with the rail out means the straight is a bit of an equaliser, so I'm not obsessed with being glued to the fence. What I am obsessed with is where horses are positioned to run, not where they were born. If they're stuck too far back in races where the leaders are just crawling, you're basically watching a slow car chase with no exit ramp.
The other thing, market support matters today. When a horse shortens and the rest of the field stays average, that's usually a stable with a plan, not a bingo wheel. You'll see it in the banker-ish races where the favourites are getting backed like they've already had a cup of tea and decided to win.
What it means for you:
Bet like it's two different meetings. In the early quaddie lanes (R1 to R4), I'm expecting tighter outcomes, so protect the structure. From R5 to R8, widen the net because the card gets more open, and that's where dividends sneak in like your mate who never pays for the first round.
