2200m · Maiden · 13:20
✗ MISS -$15 Final

Race type: Maiden, 2200m
Map & tempo: Slow pace, Desert Angel and Mizfawaz have the early advantage, but it's a long runway to sort it out
Punty read: This is a big "get cover and unwind late" job. Highland Kitty looks the most ready to actually turn it into a result, the sort you want when the race doesn't blow the field apart. Disgruntled is the danger if she lands in the right pocket and straightens, because the recent racing pattern screams she's been chasing clear air more than anything.
Missile Away is the roughie pin, because she's the type that can slide into the race if the midfield gets stitched up, plus the form is full of "never got the chance" excuses.

Top 3 + Roughie ($15.00 pool)

★ PUNTY'S PICK 1. Highland Kitty (No.6) — $1.75 / $1.05 🏆 2ND
Bet $15.00 Win — ✗ Lost, net -$15.00
Prob 51.9% | Place: 70.0% | Value: 1.15x
Why She's built for the finishing stretch on Good 4, and the whole race shape suits her to pick up momentum late.

2. Disgruntled (No.5) — $5.50 / $2.45 🏆 WINNER
Bet Tracked
Prob 13.4% | Place: 38.8% | Value: 1.18x
Why Only two places paid in a field this size, and skinny place divvies make savers a mug's game — this is a win-only race. Tracked, not staked.

3. Desert Angel (No.4) — $5.00 / $1.60 🏆 UNPLACED
Bet Tracked
Prob 13.1% | Place: 34.1% | Value: 0.81x
Why Showing pace and sectionals, but I'd rather take her on the sidelines this time with the value leaning elsewhere.

Roughie: Missile Away (No.3) — $14.00 / $3.90 🏆 3RD
Bet Tracked
Prob 7.1% | Place: 24.1% | Value: 1.26x
Why The win path is messy, but if midfield pressure drops at the right time, she can swoop late.

1400m · Benchmark 68 · 13:55
✓ WON +$17 Final

Race type: Benchmark 68, 1400m
Map & tempo: Slow pace, Wanted Hillbilly and Destinys Summit sit handy early, but it's not a sprint-fire
Punty read: This is a "who can travel then turn it into a straight run" race. Artistic Endeavour looks like the main horse to get the right run, but Welcome Advice is the one I love for value, because she's got the profile to sit midfield and still be launching at the finish.
Silver Smash is around the mark too, and Weekend Spirit has the style to sneak into it if the race tempo stays modest and they don't go too hard too early.

Top 3 + Roughie ($12.00 pool)

1. Artistic Endeavour (No.1) — $2.40 / $1.45 🏆 WINNER
Bet $12.00 Win — ✓ Won, net +$16.80
Prob 29.3% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.91x
Why Best chance of controlling the race from the right spot, and the Good 4 suits her rhythm.

2. Welcome Advice (No.5) — $4.80 / $2.25 🏆 4TH
Bet Tracked
Prob 19.0% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 1.18x
Why Only two places paid in a field this size, and skinny place divvies make savers a mug's game — this is a win-only race. Tracked, not staked.

3. Silver Smash (No.7) — $5.50 / $2.50 🏆 UNPLACED
Bet Tracked
Prob 18.5% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.96x
Why Good enough to be in the finish, but I'm not forcing it when Welcome Advice looks the better lane.

Roughie: Financially Famous (No.6) — $12.50 / $3.70 🏆 3RD
Bet Tracked
Prob 6.4% | Place: 20.7% | Value: 0.99x
Why Roughie job is simple, if the race stays slow and the gaps open, she can run on.

1400m · Maiden · 14:30
✓ WON +$12 Final

Race type: Maiden, 1400m
Map & tempo: Genuine pace, leaders Trade Barbs and One More Drink set it up, but Kava Express is getting a pace disadvantage
Punty read: This should be a "get midfield, then pounce on the leaders' neck" race. Preethical has the cleanest read on the race. She's got the rail draw and profile that says she'll be there when the pace starts to sweat. Syrinx is the danger, because the way she runs sectionals suggests she'll make ground in the last bit when others are still arriving.
Kava Express is the rough chance, but strong value pops up if she gets room and the pace does that classic collapse in the final 300.

Top 3 + Roughie ($10.00 pool)

1. Preethical (No.4) — $2.21 / $1.12 🏆 WINNER
Bet $10.00 Win — ✓ Won, net +$12.10
Prob 28.3% | Place: 70.0% | Value: 0.92x
Why She's the most likely to carry her speed into the finish and not get bullied by the tempo.

2. Syrinx (No.10) — $3.20 / $1.52 🏆 UNPLACED
Bet Tracked
Prob 24.2% | Place: 70.0% | Value: 0.95x
Why A real chance — but at $1.52 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.

3. Bound For Moscow (No.2) — $4.80 / $1.82 🏆 UNPLACED
Bet Tracked
Prob 12.1% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.90x
Why The draw helps, and the interference excuses mean she can bounce back if she gets clear early.

Roughie: Kava Express (No.6) — $9.50 / $2.75 🏆 UNPLACED
Bet Tracked
Prob 5.1% | Place: 24.4% | Value: 0.97x
Why If she can overcome the pace disadvantage and pick off tired runners late, she's the value grenade.

✗ MISS -$11 Final

Race type: Open Handicap, 1000m
Map & tempo: Genuine pace, Wondereach is out there early, everyone else has to deal with fast feet and short straight margins
Punty read: 1000m is ruthless, you either get positioned early or you're just watching the race go past you. Maximum Output looks primed for the run, because the profile says he can sit on speed and keep fighting. Heartoni and Wondereach are the main threats, but the order might come down to who gets the cleaner run at the 200m mark.
Chakra Boy is quick early too, but I'm wary of getting dragged into the wrong part of the track too long.

Top 3 + Roughie ($10.68 pool)

1. Heartoni (No.4) — $4.60 / $1.72 🏆 UNPLACED
Bet $10.68 Win — ✗ Lost, net -$10.68
Prob 18.2% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 1.03x
Why She's got the speed and the finish, plus she can tuck in behind the leaders and pounce.

2. Maximum Output (No.3) — $7.00 / $3.00 🏆 4TH
Bet Tracked
Prob 17.3% | Place: 28.0% | Value: 1.49x
Why Only two places paid in a field this size, and skinny place divvies make savers a mug's game — this is a win-only race. Tracked, not staked.

3. Chakra Boy (No.2) — $3.30 / $1.70 🏆 UNPLACED
Bet Tracked
Prob 16.9% | Place: 38.8% | Value: 0.69x
Why Could lead and still get there, but I'm not grabbing him at that number over Maximum Output and Heartoni.

Roughie: Joy A Plenty (No.8) — $9.00 / $3.60 🏆 UNPLACED
Bet Tracked
Prob 9.1% | Place: 24.1% | Value: 1.01x
Why If the race turns into a scramble, she can run into a place, maybe more if traffic breaks her way.

1600m · Class 3 · 15:35
✓ WON +$28 Final

Race type: Class 3 Handicap, 1600m
Map & tempo: Moderate pace, Cardiologist is a pace-slowed runner, Prochester and thinking types can dictate the rhythm
Punty read: 1600m at Sunshine Coast is where class can show itself, because you get time to sort positioning before the final hit. Prochester is the anchor, Think Gold and Castello Grande are the ones chasing him down, and that trio shape is exactly how these races often play.
Fifty Calibre is a sneaky roughie if you get a genuine tempo and he gets cover, but the main game is Prochester to win, then box the midfield movers.

Top 3 + Roughie ($15.00 pool)

★ PUNTY'S PICK 1. Prochester (No.3) — $2.90 / $1.40 🏆 WINNER
Bet $15.00 Win — ✓ Won, net +$28.50
Prob 35.9% | Place: 61.4% | Value: 0.83x
Why Best blend of class and race positioning, and he looks like the one who keeps giving you options.

2. Thinking Gold (No.4) — $5.00 / $2.25 🏆 2ND
Bet Tracked
Prob 19.9% | Place: 38.9% | Value: 1.20x
Why Only two places paid in a field this size, and skinny place divvies make savers a mug's game — this is a win-only race. Tracked, not staked.

3. Castello Grande (No.2) — $5.50 / $2.45 🏆 UNPLACED
Bet Tracked
Prob 19.5% | Place: 38.9% | Value: 1.29x
Why He's the classic "comes again" type, and the market treating him seriously fits the story.

Roughie: Fifty Calibre (No.8) — $18.00 / $4.50 🏆 UNPLACED
Bet Tracked
Prob 5.4% | Place: 17.8% | Value: 1.17x
Why Needs everything to line up, but if it does, the price makes the damage worth it.

1200m · BENCHMARK 65 · 16:10
✓ WON +$18 Final

Race type: Benchmark 65, 1200m
Map & tempo: Genuine pace, Royal Gladiator is the driver, Cuesta presses, and it turns into a straight fight
Punty read: This is a "who survives the first 600 then keeps finding" sprint. Vin Santo's got the advantage of being on speed and having the profile to stick with them. Cuesta is live and can push the tempo, but I think Vin Santo is the more reliable engine.
Royal Gladiator is the one that can hit the line if the race stays honest and the kick is there. Cressbrook is the chaos card if he gets cover and isn't too far back at the turn.

Top 3 + Roughie ($8.00 pool)

1. Vin Santo (No.5) — $3.30 / $1.55 🏆 WINNER
Bet $8.00 Win — ✓ Won, net +$18.40
Prob 20.3% | Place: 51.8% | Value: 0.74x
Why Loves this pace, sits in the mix, then gives you the extra when others are easing.

2. Cuesta (No.4) — $4.80 / $1.82 🏆 UNPLACED
Bet Tracked
Prob 18.0% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 1.11x
Why A real chance — but at $1.82 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.

3. Royal Gladiator (No.6) — $5.50 / $1.82 🏆 3RD
Bet Tracked
Prob 17.4% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 1.22x
Why If the tempo doesn't blow out, he's got the profile to be in the finish.

Roughie: Gagnante Enchere (No.11) — $10.00 / $2.85 🏆 2ND
Bet Tracked
Prob 7.4% | Place: 28.0% | Value: 0.95x
Why Needs a slice of luck, but if traffic shifts, she can roll forward late.

✓ WON +$13 Final

Race type: Handicap, 1800m
Map & tempo: Slow pace overall, pace advantaged types are set up, but Mad Ana is the one that can be a big runner if timing clicks
Punty read: 1800m at Sunshine Coast can turn into a chess match, then suddenly a smash-and-grab. Draw Attention is the key, because she's got the profile to sit around the mark and still be finishing when the others start to fade. Mad Ana is the live value move, she's got the sort of run-on credentials that can turn a mid-pack race into a result.
Sweet Pretender rounds out the danger list, and Giddy Gan's Joy is your roughie for if the race ends up opening late.

Top 3 + Roughie ($10.50 pool)

★ PUNTY'S PICK 1. Draw Attention (No.2) — $2.25 / $1.30 🏆 WINNER
Bet $10.50 Win — ✓ Won, net +$13.12
Prob 36.6% | Place: 70.0% | Value: 0.90x
Why Best combination of positioning and staying power in a slow-run 1800, she should be there at the line.

2. Mad Ana (No.5) — $4.50 / $1.82 🏆 UNPLACED
Bet Tracked
Prob 21.9% | Place: 70.0% | Value: 1.21x
Why A real chance — but at $1.82 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.

3. Sweet Pretender (No.10) — $5.50 / $2.10 🏆 UNPLACED
Bet Tracked
Prob 18.3% | Place: 55.0% | Value: 1.10x
Why Can run a cheeky race if the leaders go too slow, then set up the finish.

Roughie: Giddy Gan's Joy (No.8) — $14.00 / $2.90 🏆 UNPLACED
Bet Tracked
Prob 5.9% | Place: 28.0% | Value: 1.02x
Why Comes down to a late run on, if gaps appear in the final 200 she can bolt in and ruin your smooth day.

Punty's Early Mail

Rightio Loose Units, Sunshine Coast where Good 4 turns into a tight little knife fight. The rail is +6m entire, so expect a bit of "save ground then pray" energy, and with no rain, it's speed that wins fights today, not vibes.

MEET SNAPSHOT

Track: Sunshine Coast, 7-race card over 1000m to 2200m
Rail: +6m Entire
Official going: Good 4 (expected to play True, with speed doing the heavy lifting early)
Weather: Sunny, 23°C, Nil last 24hrs (watch for a bit of wind gusting, can make the running feel scratchy late)
Early lane guess: Get in where the pace is, then don't overthink the straight
Tempo profile: Slow to moderate early, but the finishing bursts still matter, because the track isn't doing anyone favours with rain
Jockeys to follow:
Michael Rodd: When the tempo is there, he makes it happen, and he's on a heap of live ones
Taylor Marshall: Calm operator, gets them travelling then clicks into the right gear
Ms Georgina Cartwright: Measures races well, especially when the rail and ground saving combo matters
Stables to respect:
Jack Bruce (6 runners): Often gets horses ready to run, and he places them in the right rhythm
S W Kendrick (3 runners): Big at Sunshine Coast type tracks, loves getting his charges positioned
Chris & Corey Munce (2 runners): When they bring one to the party, it usually shows in the final 200

Punty's take: This meeting's got that "Good 4 where the leaders get rewarded" feel. With the rail sitting out at +6m, you're usually better off backing speed that can hold its lane, then picking up the run-on types who can still reach for the line without needing a miracle gap.
Race 1 is a maiden plate where the obvious talent is short, so I'm respecting the favourite, but I'm also not walking past Disgruntled, because this is the sort of race where an ugly run turns into a clean one if it gets clear.
From there, it's a proper punter's day, Race 4 and Race 6 are where the race-shape and class blend into something juicy. I'm building a spine, then I'm throwing a roughie in to keep the day spicy.

What it means for you: If you're a "one bet and a prayer" punter, today's going to reward you for backing the horses that have the simplest path to the front. In the short ones, pick Win when the price is sane, Place when the race is messy.
I'm going aggressive on the three most likely winners across the card, then I'm letting the Quaddie lanes do the heavy lifting in the back half. Protect your ticket with wide coverage where the legs are open, but keep it tight where the favourites are genuinely set up to run.
