For all of Punty's tips for Sha Tin, head to https://punty.ai/tips/sha-tin-2026-10-25

Rightio Ratbags, Sha Tin is serving up a fine 24 degree arvo with not a drop of rain on the card, which means no excuses about the ground and every horse has to actually run. Eleven races, 156 runners and a Hot Pace in the Longmen Vajra that could turn into a demolition derby. My numbers have the early speed scattered across the card, so the trick is knowing which races the pace will hand a horse the race and which ones will break your heart. Grab a coffee, I've got a lot to say.

MEET SNAPSHOT

Track: Sha Tin, 1000m to 2000m card
Rail: "A" Course (Soil 5.8%)
Official going: Not listed in today's data (Rainfall: 0mm)
Weather: Fine, 24.1°C, humidity 68%, wind 8km/h NNW
Early lane guess: unknown pre-race, watch the first two
Tempo profile: Genuine Pace in Races 1, 3 and 5, Slow in 2, 4 and 8, Moderate in 6, 7, 9 and 11, and Hot in Race 10. The Hot Pace race is the one where the leaders will be cooked by halfway.
Jockeys to follow:
Derek Leung: 11 rides today, Draco (R2) and Super Goldendragon (R4) are two of the names he's riding that I'm keeping an eye on.
Zac Purton: 10 rides today, with Circuit Champion (R11) and Almighty Warrior (R1) in the mix, and he's a jockey who rarely wastes a horse's run.
Andrea Atzeni: 9 rides today, including Crimson Flash (R7) and Spicy Standard (R10), so he's busy across the card.
Stables to respect:
C S Shum (10 runners): Circuit Champion (R11), Without Compare (R4), Call Me Magnifique (R4) and Happy Pegasus (R1) make this the biggest stable on the card.
P F Yiu (9 runners): Lucrative Eight (R10), Packing Glory (R11) and Chill Easy (R9) are three of the stable's better looks, and the trainer has the form to back it up.
A S Cruz (8 runners): Californiatotality (R9), Good Luck Babe (R3) and Beauty Waves (R7) are spread across the card, so the stable is always in the mix.

Punty's take: Here's the thing about today. Race 10 is the Hot Pace special. Three leaders in Megastar Heart, Do You Just and Metro Power, with Lucrative Eight sitting on speed rank 1 as an on-pacer. If those leaders go flat out, the closers get a free kick, and that's where Aurio and Pakistan Legacy come into it. Race 1 is the opposite, Jedi Spurs is the only named leader in a race where the Genuine Pace suggests the others will be trying to keep up. Jedi Spurs also has a tongue tie going on for the first time, which is a fun little sideshow. Race 7 is a two-leader bunfight, Ka Ying Attack and Copartner Prance will be trying to burn each other off, and Raging Blizzard sits well off the pace. The slow races (2, 4 and 8) are where pace gets flattened and the horses that can run a bit of sectional time become the danger. Race 4 is the one I'd stay away from if you hate chaos, ten runners with no named leader and a bunch of midfielders all wanting the same trail. Race 6 is a sprinters' scrap with two leaders in Dynamic Brose and Turbo Granny, but my pick there sits midfield, so I'll be sweating that one.

What it means for you: Be aggressive in Race 1 with the Each Way on Jedi Spurs, the only real leader and the one with the cleanest shape. Race 8 is the place I want to be patient, Storm Mirror is the one carrying the Each Way and the rest of the field is squeezed into a slow tempo, so there's a real chance it turns into a sprint to the line. Race 9 is a moderate-pace mile with three on-pace runners and the Each Way on Definitive is a stake I'm happy with, it's not a sure thing but it's a race where the market could be wrong. The Quaddie is the big one. Four open races and a long shot ticket, so the outlay is fat, and I'd only play it for the fun of it and the dream of a big dividend. The locked bets are the spine, and everything else on the card is about the Big 3 multi and the Quaddie.

PUNTY'S BIG 3 + MULTI

These are the three bets the day leans on.

1 - Jedi Spurs (Race 1, No.2) — $6.00
Why He's the only genuine leader in Race 1, sits on speed rank 1 and has a tongue tie going on for the first time. Second last start at Sha Tin 1000m, and two of his last three runs were wins at the trip. He can dictate on the front in a Genuine Pace race.
2 - Ka Ying Lightning (Race 6, No.6) — $14.00
Why He's 2 starts for 2 wins, both at the trip, and he's the one I think the market has underrated in a moderate-pace sprint. Map Factor is a touch under 1.0 so the pace isn't going to hand him anything, but he's a horse who can win from midfield if the leaders go a bit soft.
3 - Super Goldendragon (Race 4, No.10) — $8.00
Why Three runs back, three wins, with the last two at Sha Tin 1800m and Sha Tin 2000m, and he drops 6kg from his last start. He's gone up in grade on the form and the market has him at $8.00. In a slow race, a horse that can close off the pace with that record is hard to ignore.
Multi (all three to win): $10 × 672.00 = $6720.00

Race 1 – Rhapsody On The Luo River

Race type: Class 4, 1200m
Map & tempo: Genuine Pace with Jedi Spurs the only named leader. Jedi Spurs is LEADER, Almighty Warrior is ON-PACE, Chancheng Sparkle is BACKMARKER, and Saint Jose Patch and Happy Pegasus are UNKNOWN so I'm not claiming a position for them.
Punty read: Jedi Spurs is the bet here, $10.50 Each Way, and it's the cleanest shape on the card. He's the only one in the field who will go forward without having to fight for it, and that's worth a lot in a Genuine Pace sprint. The tongue tie is on for the first time and his last start was a second at Sha Tin 1000m. Almighty Warrior is the danger, ON-PACE and the one who can run him down if the leader gets tired. Chancheng Sparkle comes from the back, has blinkers off (sheepskin cheek pieces OFF, pacifiers ON for the first time), and a 3kg weight drop is a real bounce-back angle if the pace is quick. Saint Jose Patch is the roughie with a 1000m-ish race record, but I'd rather see him run than bet him.

Top 3 + Roughie ($10.50 pool)

1. Jedi Spurs (No.2) — $6.00 / place tote
Bet $10.50 Each Way ($5.25W + $5.25P), collects $31.50 plus the tote place dividend if it wins, the tote place dividend if it only places
Prob 30.6% | Place: 56.0% | Value: 1.84x
Why Only genuine leader in a Genuine Pace sprint, tongue tie on for the first time, and he ran second last start at Sha Tin 1000m. The one to beat.
2. Almighty Warrior (No.1) — $3.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 15.9% | Place: 38.7% | Value: 0.48x
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Chancheng Sparkle (No.10) — $2.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 13.1% | Place: 32.3% | Value: 0.26x
Why Hampered last start at Happy Valley and a 3kg drop in weight, plus he comes from the back in a sprint that could leave a gap. He's the one who'll be flying late.
Roughie: Saint Jose Patch (No.8) — $9.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 6.8% | Place: 19.2% | Value: 0.61x
Why Two wins from his last two runs at Conghua Turf, and a trip at the Sha Tin 1200m trip could suit him if the leader collapses. Only a roughie if the race goes the way I think.

Race 2 – Wedding Collection

Race type: Class 5, 1400m
Map & tempo: Slow Pace with no named leaders. Manythanks Forever and The Concentration are the on-pace pair, Draco is BACKMARKER, and Incanto Star, Vigor Elleegant and Supreme Winner are MIDFIELD.
Punty read: No bet in this race. The tempo is slow, the field is wide open, and no runner carries more than 15 percent of the chance. Draco is the top pick on the numbers but he's coming from the back in a race that could be run from the front, so I'd want to see him settle before I chased. Incanto Star and Vigor Elleegant are the midfield pair that could sneak through if the pace stays slow. Only U is the danger from the back, but he's a 1400m runner with a heavy weight at 59-60kg.

Top 3 + Roughie ($15.00 pool)

1. Draco (No.10) — $12.00 / place tote
Bet $15.00 Each Way ($7.50W + $7.50P), collects $90.00 plus the tote place dividend if it wins, the tote place dividend if it only places
Prob 11.9% | Place: 26.0% | Value: 1.43x
Why Ran third at Sha Tin 1000m last start and a close second to the field at 1400m. Backmarker with a slow tempo ahead of him is the worry.
2. Incanto Star (No.6) — $7.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 11.0% | Place: 25.5% | Value: 0.77x
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Vigor Elleegant (No.5) — $13.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 8.2% | Place: 20.8% | Value: 1.07x
Why Fifth at Sha Tin 1200m last start, and a first-up win at the trip last time out. Midfield with a fair run, but the price isn't there.
Roughie: Supreme Winner (No.13) — $9.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 6.5% | Place: 17.0% | Value: 0.59x
Why Second last start at Sha Tin 1400m, and midfield in a slow race is a good place to be if the leaders hang around.

Race 3 – Love Is Beauty

Race type: Class 4, 1600m
Map & tempo: Genuine Pace, Circuit Fiery the only named leader. Circuit Fiery is LEADER, Good Luck Babe and Amazing Duck are ON-PACE, Absolute Awakened and Smart Fat Cat are MIDFIELD, and Flying Amani is BACKMARKER.
Punty read: Absolute Awakened is the one carrying the Each Way at $10.50, and I'm happy with it. He's midfield and trailing a leader in a Genuine Pace race, which means he can sit and wait for the leader to tire. His last start was a second to Sha Tin 1400m winner in Extended Form (4th at Sha Tin 1400m, 10-11), and his record at 1600m is a win from one start. Circuit Fiery is the danger, a leader who's gone two to six at this distance. Amazing Duck is ON-PACE and the market's upset in the record, a $16.20 win chance on my numbers with the price unavailable. Flying Amani is the roughie from the back, a racing style that can pick up the pieces if the pace goes soft.

Top 3 + Roughie ($10.50 pool)

1. Absolute Awakened (No.3) — $6.00 / place tote
Bet $10.50 Each Way ($5.25W + $5.25P), collects $31.50 plus the tote place dividend if it wins, the tote place dividend if it only places
Prob 12.4% | Place: 25.9% | Value: 0.74x
Why Midfield, sits behind a Genuine Pace leader, and his 1st-up record at the trip is a win from two. Looks like he's well placed to run on.
2. Smart Fat Cat (No.14) — $7.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 10.0% | Place: 27.5% | Value: 0.70x
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Circuit Fiery (No.2) — $9.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 9.7% | Place: 19.8% | Value: 0.87x
Why The leader, so he'll have the front if he wants it. The records at 1600m don't show a win, so I'm not backing him.
Roughie: Flying Amani (No.8) — $14.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 6.1% | Place: 15.8% | Value: 0.85x
Why Backmarker with a strong trial of recent runs, and if the Genuine Pace collapses and the front runners get run down, he's the one swooping late.

Race 4 – Love Yourself Collection

Race type: Class 3, 2000m
Map & tempo: Slow Pace with no named leader. Seraph Gabriel is ON-PACE, Lo Rider is BACKMARKER, and Super Goldendragon, Ka Ying Generation, Big Return, Without Compare, Call Me Magnifique and Pocketing are MIDFIELD.
Punty read: No bet on the top picks in this race. Super Goldendragon is the Big 3 leg here, and I'm happy to have him in the multi, but the race itself has no money on the top picks. Seraph Gabriel is the early speed that could set the tempo in a slow race, and that's the danger for the field. Ka Ying Generation is midfield and trailing, so he'll need a fast final 400m. Without Compare is a roughie with a blinkers OFF change and some good form at 1800m and 2000m-ish trips.

Top 3 + Roughie ($15.00 pool)

1. Super Goldendragon (No.10) — $8.00 / place tote
Bet $15.00 Each Way ($7.50W + $7.50P), collects $60.00 plus the tote place dividend if it wins, the tote place dividend if it only places
Prob 18.4% | Place: 42.6% | Value: 1.47x
Why Three starts back, three wins, and he's a 6kg weight drop from his last start. Sits midfield in a slow race which suits him. The Big 3 leg today.
2. Seraph Gabriel (No.1) — $6.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 18.3% | Place: 38.2% | Value: 1.10x
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Ka Ying Generation (No.3) — $4.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 11.4% | Place: 27.6% | Value: 0.46x
Why Midfield and trailing a slow race, so he needs the pace to heat up. Blocked last start at Happy Valley, so he's got an excuse on the card.
Roughie: Without Compare (No.2) — $10.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 8.9% | Place: 23.6% | Value: 0.89x
Why Blinkers come off today and he's a midfield runner with good records at the trip. He was held up at Happy Valley, so the excuse is there.

Race 5 – Shimmering Gold Collection

Race type: Class 4, 1200m
Map & tempo: Genuine Pace with Riding High the only named leader. Riding High is LEADER, Light Years Glory and Copartner A I are ON-PACE, Cavamazing and Thousand Spirit are MIDFIELD, and Yee Cheong Glory, Glory Patch and Speedy Power are BACKMARKER.
Punty read: Light Years Glory is the staked pick here, a $14.50 place bet with the tote dividend to pay. He's on-pace behind a leader in a Genuine Pace sprint, and a win at Sha Tin 1200m last start in Extended Form gives him a bit of confidence. Cavamazing is the top pick on my numbers, the one I'd rate the best in the race, but there's no bet on him and that's on purpose. Copartner A I is a place runner on the books with a $6.50 place stake, and the 1200m trip suits him. Riding High is the danger from the front, and Yee Cheong Glory is the one coming from the back.

Top 3 + Roughie ($21.50 pool)

1. Cavamazing (No.3) — $13.00 / place tote
Bet $15.00 Each Way ($7.50W + $7.50P), collects $97.50 plus the tote place dividend if it wins, the tote place dividend if it only places
Prob 14.8% | Place: 36.1% | Value: 1.92x
Why First-up winner at Sha Tin 1200m and a 1st-up record of a win from two. He's a horse who can be a threat at the price, but no bet here.
2. Light Years Glory (No.4) — $14.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 10.0% | Place: 26.4% | Value: 1.40x
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Copartner A I (No.5) — $12.00 / place tote
Bet $6.50 Place, pays the tote place dividend
Prob 9.0% | Place: 32.1% | Value: 1.08x
Why On-pace with a first-up place finish at the trip, and Vincent Ho has a decent strike rate at this track.
Roughie: Yee Cheong Glory (No.2) — $11.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 7.6% | Place: 25.4% | Value: 0.83x
Why Backmarker with a fast closing record, and if the leaders go quick, he's the one who'll be finishing best.

Race 6 – Night Banquet In Tang Palace

Race type: Class 3, 1000m
Map & tempo: Moderate Pace with two named leaders. Dynamic Brose and Turbo Granny are LEADER, Ka Ying Lightning and Fast Responder are MIDFIELD, and Lightness Of Music, Yee Cheong Bright, Lahore, California Command and Jin Sheng are ON-PACE.
Punty read: No bet on the top picks, but Ka Ying Lightning is the Big 3 leg and my favourite horse on the card. He's won both of his starts, both at the 1000m trip and both at the Sha Tin track. He's midfield, so he needs the leaders to hang on, and that's the trade-off. Lightness Of Music is an on-pacer who's won his first two runs at 1000m and a tongue tie is not an issue for him. Yee Cheong Bright is a horse I'd take an interest in if the leaders run into trouble. Dynamic Brose and Turbo Granny are the two leaders who could tire each other out.

Top 3 + Roughie ($15.00 pool)

1. Ka Ying Lightning (No.6) — $14.00 / place tote
Bet $15.00 Each Way ($7.50W + $7.50P), collects $105.00 plus the tote place dividend if it wins, the tote place dividend if it only places
Prob 19.5% | Place: 37.6% | Value: 2.73x
Why Two starts, two wins, both at the trip. Midfield in a moderate race, and the price makes him the Big 3 leg.
2. Lightness Of Music (No.7) — $5.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 15.2% | Place: 43.0% | Value: 0.76x
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Yee Cheong Bright (No.3) — $7.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 12.0% | Place: 31.4% | Value: 0.84x
Why On-pace and won at Sha Tin 1000m last start, with a fine form line. He's a value bet if the leaders slow.
Roughie: Lahore (No.14) — $11.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 10.5% | Place: 26.9% | Value: 1.15x
Why On-pace and ran third at Sha Tin 1000m last start, so he's got the speed to sit in the mix.

Race 7 – The Lukfook Jewellery Premier Bowl

Race type: Open, 1200m
Map & tempo: Moderate Pace with two named leaders. Copartner Prance and Ka Ying Attack are LEADER, Raging Blizzard and Colourful King are BACKMARKER, Crimson Flash and Aeris Nova are MIDFIELD, and Beauty Waves, Tomodachi Kokoroe and Sing Dragon are ON-PACE or MIDFIELD on the map.
Punty read: No bet on the top picks here. Ka Ying Attack is the on-pace leader on the best form in the race, a first-up winner on the Sha Tin 1200m track and an unbeaten run from Conghua Turf. The problem is he shares the lead with Copartner Prance, and the race could get messy up front. Raging Blizzard is the backmarker with the best record in the field at the trip, a strong closer who might be the one to beat if the leaders collapse. Crimson Flash is midfield and a class act at this distance, so he's the one I'd watch in the run home.

Top 3 + Roughie ($15.00 pool)

1. Ka Ying Attack (No.7) — $8.00 / place tote
Bet $15.00 Each Way ($7.50W + $7.50P), collects $60.00 plus the tote place dividend if it wins, the tote place dividend if it only places
Prob 17.4% | Place: 40.9% | Value: 1.39x
Why Won at Sha Tin 1200m last start and has two strong runs since. The shared lead is the only thing stopping me from backing him.
2. Raging Blizzard (No.1) — $3.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 16.5% | Place: 36.5% | Value: 0.49x
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Crimson Flash (No.4) — $2.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 14.6% | Place: 36.6% | Value: 0.29x
Why Midfield with a strong record at 1200m and a Conghua Turf 1000m win in his last three runs. The price is too short to bet.
Roughie: Colourful King (No.2) — $9.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 14.9% | Place: 37.0% | Value: 1.34x
Why Backmarker with a 1200m record, and his last start was a win at Sha Tin 1000m, which says he's sharp.

Race 8 – Lukfook Jewellery Heirloom Fortune Collection Hcp

Race type: Class 4, 1400m
Map & tempo: Slow Pace with no named leader. Mr Cool is ON-PACE, Storm Mirror, Grand Patch, Oldtown, Genius Baby, Tang Heart and Alabama Song are MIDFIELD, and Flash Current, Road To Glory and King Zoom are BACKMARKER.
Punty read: Storm Mirror is the bet here, $13.00 Each Way ($6.50W + $6.50P), and it's the horse I like best on the card at the trip. He won at Sha Tin 1400m last start in Extended Form, and his record at the trip is a win from two. Midfield in a slow race is the perfect spot for him to sit and pounce. Grand Patch is the danger with his blinkers ON for the first time and a second at Sha Tin 1400m last start, plus a 1200m win. Mr Cool is on-pace and the one who can take the tempo away from Storm Mirror.

Top 3 + Roughie ($13.00 pool)

1. Storm Mirror (No.1) — $7.00 / place tote
Bet $13.00 Each Way ($6.50W + $6.50P), collects $45.50 plus the tote place dividend if it wins, the tote place dividend if it only places
Prob 15.1% | Place: 29.7% | Value: 1.06x
Why Won last start at Sha Tin 1400m and a second at the 1200m trip before that. Midfield in a slow race is the spot for him.
2. Grand Patch (No.5) — $12.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 12.2% | Place: 28.3% | Value: 1.46x
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Mr Cool (No.3) — $9.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 11.5% | Place: 25.8% | Value: 1.04x
Why Won at Sha Tin 1400m last start and he's on-pace, so he's the one who can make the race honest at the front.
Roughie: Genius Baby (No.12) — $13.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 5.9% | Place: 15.7% | Value: 0.77x
Why Midfield with a strong closing record, and his last start was a ninth at Sha Tin 1400m, so the form can turn quickly.

Race 9 – Lukfook Joaillerie Hcp

Race type: Class 2, 1600m
Map & tempo: Moderate Pace. Definitive, Chill Easy, Drombeg Banner, Romantic Thor and Californiatotality are ON-PACE, Six Pack, Max Que and Stunning Peach are MIDFIELD, and Bravefield and Infinite Resolve are BACKMARKER.
Punty read: Definitive is the bet here, $10.50 Each Way ($5.25W + $5.25P), and he's the one with the best combination of form and tactics. He's on-pace, won first-up at Sha Tin 1650m on the synthetic track last start, and his jockey Karis Teetan is a good ride on him at the trip. Chill Easy is the big danger, on-pace with a win at Conghua Turf 1200m last start and a strong 1400m record. Drombeg Banner is the speed rank 1 horse with a fine first-up record, so the on-pace trio will be fighting for the lead.

Top 3 + Roughie ($10.50 pool)

1. Definitive (No.7) — $4.00 / place tote
Bet $10.50 Each Way ($5.25W + $5.25P), collects $21.00 plus the tote place dividend if it wins, the tote place dividend if it only places
Prob 11.2% | Place: 24.5% | Value: 0.45x
Why On-pace, first-up winner last start on the synthetic, and his records show he's a horse who handles this kind of race.
2. Chill Easy (No.4) — $12.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 10.4% | Place: 23.0% | Value: 1.25x
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Drombeg Banner (No.13) — $3.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 8.6% | Place: 21.6% | Value: 0.26x
Why On-pace with a 1200m win at Conghua Turf last start and a strong 1600m-ish record. The price is short, so I'd rather watch than bet.
Roughie: Regal Gem (No.11) — $11.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 8.7% | Place: 21.7% | Value: 0.95x
Why Midfield with a second at Conghua Turf 1200m, and he's a horse who can run on if the pace collapses in front.

Race 10 – Lukfook Jewellery Longmen Vajra Collection Hcp

Race type: Class 3, 1200m
Map & tempo: Hot Pace with three named leaders. Megastar Heart, Do You Just and Metro Power are LEADER, Lucrative Eight, Pakistan Legacy, Pi Legend and Spicy Standard are ON-PACE, Aurio and Radiant Path are MIDFIELD and BACKMARKER respectively, and Blue Lightning and Great Legend are BACKMARKER.
Punty read: No bet on the top picks, but Lucrative Eight is my favourite in a race I'd call a chaos. He's speed rank 1 on the card and sits on-pace behind a field of three leaders, which means he can be ridden to finish. Blinkers ON for the first time and a 2nd at Sha Tin 1200m last start is worth noting. Aurio is midfield and the closer I'd want if the leaders cook, with a 1200m record of third placings. Pakistan Legacy has been raced wide in his last two runs, so the excuses are there, and he can run on from the on-pace line in a hot race.

Top 3 + Roughie ($15.00 pool)

1. Lucrative Eight (No.11) — $11.00 / place tote
Bet $15.00 Each Way ($7.50W + $7.50P), collects $82.50 plus the tote place dividend if it wins, the tote place dividend if it only places
Prob 15.3% | Place: 44.0% | Value: 1.68x
Why Speed rank 1, on-pace, and two runs on the trot at Sha Tin 1200m with a 2nd last start. Blinkers on first time.
2. Aurio (No.3) — $5.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 11.6% | Place: 37.5% | Value: 0.58x
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Metro Power (No.8) — $9.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 10.9% | Place: 31.4% | Value: 0.98x
Why One of three leaders, and he's a horse who can handle the fight. Slow start and an interference run last time out, so the form is patchy.
Roughie: Pakistan Legacy (No.1) — $14.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 8.8% | Place: 29.4% | Value: 1.22x
Why Raced wide last two runs, so the form is better than it looks. On-pace, and if the three leaders burn each other off, he's the one with a chance to run on.

Race 11 – Lukfook Jewellery Beloved Collection Hcp

Race type: Class 3, 1400m
Map & tempo: Moderate Pace. Effortless Win and Blazing Star are LEADER, Packing Glory, Aerovolanic, Happy Boss and Saint Of The Sea are ON-PACE, Circuit Champion, Enterprise Triumph and Almighty Lightning are MIDFIELD, and Power Of Vitam is BACKMARKER.
Punty read: Packing Glory is the bet here, $15.00 Place, and I like him for a place. He's on-pace, ran fifth at Sha Tin 1200m last start, and the place bet is a racing reason: a long-price stalker in a moderate race that could sit fourth or fifth and finish well. Circuit Champion is the one to be wary of, midfield with a strong first-up record and a second at the Sha Tin 1400m trip two starts back. Effortless Win is the leader and the one who has to hold the lead to win. Aerovolanic is on-pace and has a record at 1400m that's hard to ignore.

Top 3 + Roughie ($15.00 pool)

1. Circuit Champion (No.2) — $14.00 / place tote
Bet $15.00 Each Way ($7.50W + $7.50P), collects $105.00 plus the tote place dividend if it wins, the tote place dividend if it only places
Prob 13.0% | Place: 28.3% | Value: 1.82x
Why Midfield, placed at the trip, and he's a strong closer. The price is big enough that I'd rather hold the place bet on Packing Glory.
2. Packing Glory (No.10) — $13.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 11.8% | Place: 28.5% | Value: 1.53x
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Effortless Win (No.4) — $4.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 11.3% | Place: 28.7% | Value: 0.45x
Why Leader with a win at Sha Tin 1200m last start. He has to hold the lead, and the price is too short to back.
Roughie: Power Of Vitam (No.6) — $12.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 7.2% | Place: 18.6% | Value: 0.86x
Why Backmarker with a 1200m placing and bumped last start at Sha Tin 1600m. A moderate pace race where the front runners slow could bring him into the frame.

SEQUENCE LANES

QUADDIE (R8–R11)

Smart: 1 / 7 / 11 / 2 (1 combos x $5.00 = $5.00) -- 500% flexi
Punty's take: Four open races and nothing tight anywhere, so this is a wide ticket with a high outlay. Storm Mirror, Definitive, Lucrative Eight and Circuit Champion are the anchors, but every leg has four or more runners. It's a long shot ticket and I'd call it entertainment unless a $5 to $10 winner lands somewhere in the sequence.

NUGGETS FROM THE TRACK

1 - Blinkers on for Lucrative Eight
Blinkers go on for the first time today, and his last start was a second at Sha Tin 1200m. Race 10 is hot, so watch how he travels on the way round.

2 - Tongue tie on for Jedi Spurs
The tongue tie goes on for the first time, and he has a second at Sha Tin 1000m last start in Extended Form. That's the kind of small change that can change a horse's run.

3 - Ka Ying Lightning's perfect record
Two starts, two wins, and both wins came at the trip. The market has him at $14.00 and he's a huh fact nobody else on the card can match.

FINAL WORD FROM THE SICKO SANCTUARY

Ka Ying Lightning has won both of his starts and he's still paying $14.00, which tells you everything about how the punters are asleep at the wheel. Back the horses that have earned it, sweat the ones that haven't, and let the Hot Pace in Race 10 do the rest of the talking.
