Pace is pretty genuine and there are a few runners that look like they'll be taking the scenic route past the winning post, then swerving back late like they just remembered dinner's in the oven.

Belmont on a Soft 5 is the type of surface where your "safe" fav still has to earn it. The leaders do their job, but the finish is where the track starts picking favourites, especially for horses that can handle getting a bit of kick under them.
