Punty's Early Mail

For all of Punty's tips for Coffs Harbour, head to https://punty.ai/tips/coffs-harbour-2026-11-04

Rightio Legends, Coffs Harbour is sitting on a Soft 7 after 3mm in the last 24 hours and 12mm over the week, so this is a proper bog-trotter's card with eight races from 1000m to 2000m. The speed is thin, the market is busy, and there are a few horses here that have been backed in hard enough to make you wonder who knows something. Grab a coffee, check your ticket stock, and let's get into it.

MEET SNAPSHOT

Track: Coffs Harbour, 1000m to 2000m card
Rail: True (no rail position given)
Official going: Soft 7 (3mm last 24hrs, 12mm last 7 days)
Weather: Partly cloudy, 18°C, humidity 99%, wind 7km/h N
Early lane guess: unknown pre-race, watch the first two
Tempo profile: Mostly slow to moderate on the paper. Race 1, Race 2 and Race 8 are slow, Races 3, 5 and 7 are moderate, and Races 4 and 6 are genuine pace with a sprint or a fight for the front. Race 1 and Race 2 have no real speed holder.
Jockeys to follow:
Ben Looker: six rides on the day, including Opine in Race 6, Via Vegas in Race 7 and Royston in Race 2. He's ridden 21% of his last 100 winners, which is the sort of number that makes me sit up.
Grady Spokes: five rides, with Sarmat in Race 2 the one I'd be watching closest. Sarmat has clicked with him 11 times from 47 rides together.
Luke Rolls: five rides spread across Races 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7, with Monaco Flyer in Race 3 his most important one for me.
Stables to respect:
M J Dunn (5 runners): Zweigelt in Race 1 and No No No No No in Race 6 are two of the three Big 3 legs, and Latin Lights in Race 5 is the benchmark favourite. Dunn's team turns up with its boots on.
J D Shelton (4 runners): Monaco Flyer in Race 3 and Tara Koda in Race 5 are both in the staked tips, and Shelton's Highwire Girl and Universal Energy are both in the mix as well.
R J Agnew (4 runners): Dirty Does It in Race 3 and Stormy Martini in Race 6 are both on the staked list, so Agnew's barn is more than a roll-call of also-rans.

Punter's take: Coffs Harbour is a slow-pace card on paper, and that is the story of the day. Race 1 and Race 2 have nobody who wants the front by choice, so the horses that settle in the second half of the field are going to need a bit of luck to pick up the pieces. Races 4 and 6 are the genuine pace races with a proper fight for the lead, and that changes how we want to read the closers. In Race 4, I'm Guessing has the lead almost to himself, which is either a gift or a trap depending on how the others let him go. Race 6 is the big one for me. No No No No No is an each-way kind of horse who should sit midfield and pick his way late, and Stormy Martini is the speed holder who gets caught out if the others come to him early. Race 3 is where the race shape gets tricky, with Hard Jakka and Monaco Flyer both pulling the field in different directions. The races that look like bankers are Race 1 and Race 6, and the chaos is in Race 3 and Race 7, where the speed is spread and nothing wants to stand out front.

What it means for you: Be aggressive in Race 1 and Race 6, where the market and the shape both line up behind the staked horses. Protect your money in Race 3 and Race 7, where the speed is shared and a bad gate can wreck the ticket. The value is in the horses that the market has pushed out, especially in Race 8, where Icewater has come in from $7.00 to $5.00 and is fastest in both the last 600 and last 400 metres. If you want to play the sequences, keep your legs tight in the early races and go wider in the back half of the day, because that's where the price is hiding.

PUNTY'S BIG 3 + MULTI

These are the three bets the day leans on.

1 - Zweigelt (Race 1, No.5) — $2.20
Why The shortest price of the three, and he's the one that should settle midfield with the pace shape on his side. Trainer M J Dunn and jockey Andrew Mallyon have had 108 wins together from 517 rides, and he's won on soft before.
2 - No No No No No (Race 6, No.2) — $2.35
Why Sits midfield from a wide barrier 17, but the shape helps him (1.28) and his last-start 3rd at Eagle Farm over 6.9L says he's competitive. The market agrees with me, pulling him from wherever he was to $2.35.
3 - Sarmat (Race 2, No.2) — $3.20
Why He comes from the back in a slow race that suits closers, and he's been running on at the finish. A 4th last start at Port Macquarie over 0.9L is the sort of run I like to see from a horse who'll find the trail.
Multi (all three to win): $10 × 16.54 = $165.40

Race 1 – CRJC AGM 25 November Plate

Race type: CLASS 1, 2000m
Map & tempo: Slow pace, and nobody maps to lead. The likeliest to find the front is Crunch Time from barrier 7, and he's drawn wide enough that he has to work to get there. Swift Sovereign (barrier 6) and Zweigelt (barrier 8) are both back-half runners who need cover or luck, and Zweigelt's midfield spot works in his favour because the shape helps him (1.01). Nobody in the field is clearly suited by the slow pace, but Crunch Time gets hurt most if he gets rolled to the front.
Punty read: Zweigelt is the bet, and I'm putting $15 on him to win. He's won 1 from 4 on soft, has 1 win and 2 seconds from 4 on soft, and the 20.9% combo with Mallyon is the kind of number that makes me comfortable at $2.20. Swift Sovereign is the danger if he gets the sit behind a slow pace, and his firming from $3.10 to $2.75 tells you the market knows it too. Chayse 'n' Penny from barrier 3 is the one with a bounce coming off a slow-start 4th at Gold Coast, and Crunch Time is a roughie who needs the speed to collapse around him.

Top 3 + Roughie ($15.00 pool)

1. Zweigelt (No.5) — $2.25 / $1.32
Bet $15.00 Win, return $33.75
Prob 39.6% | Place: 59.5% | Value: 0.89x Steady since tip
Why Midfield from barrier 8 in a slow race is not what you want on paper, but the shape helps him and he's the one with the best place chance in the field. Last start was a 2nd at Lismore over 0.5L, and he's fastest in the sectional time.
2. Swift Sovereign (No.4) — $2.75 / $1.55
Bet Tracked
Prob 30.9% | Place: 54.4% | Value: 0.85x Steady since tip
Why Only two places paid in a field this size, and skinny place divvies make savers a mug's game — this is a win-only race. Tracked, not staked.
3. Chayse 'n' Penny (No.1) — $5.00 / $2.25
Bet Tracked
Prob 14.9% | Place: 38.8% | Value: 0.74x Steady since tip
Why He's been sitting at the back and has the class edge on paper, with a 1-1-2 record and a 4th at Gold Coast over 5.7L. He'll be the one running on late if the early speed doesn't hold.

Roughie: Crunch Time (No.2) — $9.00 / $3.30
Bet Tracked
Prob 7.5% | Place: 22.3% | Value: 0.67x Steady since tip
Why The shape is against him in a slow race, so this is a price-only punt. If nobody else wants the front, he's the one who takes it, and he's won 1 from 4 on good.

Race 2 – Remembering Shirley Kelly CB Jacaranda Mdn Hcp

Race type: Maiden, 1600m
Map & tempo: Slow pace, and nobody maps to lead or sit handy. Sarmat from barrier 2 can settle back and wait for the race to come to him, and the shape helps him (1.06). Royston (barrier 7) and Prince Of Wants (barrier 8) are wide back-half runners who need cover, which means the bit of luck they need is in the run of the race, not in the speed map. This is a race where the closers win, and the slow pace is what makes it so.
Punty read: Sarmat is the bet, and he's the one I'd take to the bank with $11 on him to win. He's run a 4th last start at Port Macquarie 1500m over 0.9L, and Grady Spokes has clicked with him at a strike rate that makes me like the combo. Atadcheeky is a danger that's been hammered from $4.20 to $3.10, and he's been on the board 7 times from 12 starts, though 0 wins from 2 at 59kg is a warning. Prince Of Wants is the one who has the value and the wide draw to deal with.

Top 3 + Roughie ($11.00 pool)

1. Sarmat (No.2) — $3.30 / $1.72
Bet $11.00 Win, return $36.30
Prob 29.5% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.97x Steady since tip
Why Back in the field from barrier 2, which is the sort of trip you'd order if you wanted a slow race. The market has come in hard from $5.00 to $3.20, and he's the best-timed horse in the sectionals for the last 600 metres.
2. Atadcheeky (No.6) — $3.20 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 19.7% | Place: 38.8% | Value: 0.63x Steady since tip
Why Only two places paid in a field this size, and skinny place divvies make savers a mug's game — this is a win-only race. Tracked, not staked.
3. Prince Of Wants (No.5) — $5.00 / $2.35
Bet Tracked
Prob 18.7% | Place: 38.9% | Value: 0.94x Steady since tip
Why He's been held up from barrier 8 and the market has firmed him from $6.00 to $5.00. Ben Looker's ride and the value on the board make him an each-way chance that I'd be watching.

Roughie: Royston (No.8) — $21.00 / $5.50
Bet Tracked
Prob 2.9% | Place: 8.7% | Value: 0.60x Steady since tip
Why He's been backed from $41.00 down to $21.00, and I can't see the reason in the form, but the money's been coming. He has 0 wins from 7 on soft, so he's a longshot price-only ticket that's got to come home a different way.

Race 3 – Remembering Victoria Moorhead (Bm58)

Race type: BM 58, 1200m
Map & tempo: Moderate pace with a crowd at the front. Stormfield (barrier 2), All Too Sneaky (barrier 3), Dirty Does It (barrier 4), Monaco Flyer (barrier 6) and Pride Of Lanka (barrier 8) all have the speed to fight for the lead. Hard Jakka (barrier 9) is the one the shape helps most, and he needs to find a run from wide. Monaco Flyer's sit is right in the middle of that crowd, which is a problem because the expected pace hurts his style.
Punty read: Monaco Flyer is the bet with $9 each way, and the shape is against him. I'm backing him anyway because he's 2 wins from 7 on soft, he's won at Grafton 1106m, and Luke Rolls has been red hot over his last 100 rides. Dirty Does It is the one who gets the place value and has run well over the shorter trips. Hard Jakka is the danger if the moderate pace holds up for him and he runs down the field, and Stormfield is the roughie if the speed up front goes too hard.

Top 3 + Roughie ($9.00 pool)

1. Monaco Flyer (No.8) — $4.60 / $1.62
Bet $9.00 Each Way ($4.50W + $4.50P), collects $27.99 if it wins ($20.70 win + $7.29 place), $7.29 if it only places
Prob 19.5% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.90x Steady since tip
Why Sits handy from barrier 6 and the expected pace is against him, but he's the best soft horse in the race with 2 wins from 7, and he's got a 2nd last start at Grafton over 3.4L. Luke Rolls is the jockey, and the jockey-track form is hot.
2. Hard Jakka (No.6) — $4.20 / $1.62
Bet Tracked
Prob 18.0% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.76x ▼5% since tip
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Dirty Does It (No.5) — $6.60 / $1.90
Bet Tracked
Prob 17.3% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 1.14x Steady since tip
Why He's sitting on the speed from barrier 4 and he won at Port Macquarie 1100m last start before. The market has drifted him from a shorter price, which tells you the market is less sure about him, but I like the place value.

Roughie: Stormfield (No.3) — $14.00 / $3.10
Bet Tracked
Prob 5.4% | Place: 24.1% | Value: 0.76x Steady since tip
Why He's a leader from barrier 2 and the tongue tie is on for the first time. If the speed up front burns out and he keeps going, he's a roughie who can pinch the place.

Race 4 – Remembering Gae Palmer Mdn Hcp

Race type: MAIDEN, 1000m
Map & tempo: Genuine pace, and I'm Guessing has the lead almost uncontested from barrier 10. The nearest pressure is from Sasqua (barrier 13), The Devil's Elbow (barrier 9) and Paris Victory (barrier 10). Cerano Magic and Uncle Darby'sdream are back-half runners who get the cover, and the shape helps them. Sasqua is the one the shape works against from barrier 13, which is why I'm telling you the price is the real reason to like him.
Punty read: Sasqua is the bet at $15 to win, and the place rate on the board is the strongest in the race. He's a 2nd at Hawkesbury over 1.2L last start and he's fastest in the sectional time. I'm Guessing is the roughie if the speed holds up, and the gear changes are a big story with blinkers coming off and winkers going on. Our Red Ripper and Prestige Blue are the ones who will hunt the place if Sasqua is held up behind the speed.

Top 3 + Roughie ($15.00 pool)

1. Sasqua (No.4) — $3.30 / $1.52
Bet $15.00 Win, return $49.50
Prob 26.9% | Place: 60.6% | Value: 0.89x Steady since tip
Why Sits handy from barrier 13, which is a tough draw, but the price is as good as it gets for the class he's shown. He's fastest in the sectional time and has the best place figure in the field.
2. Our Red Ripper (No.3) — $3.90 / $1.65
Bet Tracked
Prob 17.5% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.68x ▼5% since tip
Why A real chance — but at $1.65 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.
3. Prestige Blue (No.7) — $4.50 / $1.72
Bet Tracked
Prob 14.3% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.64x Steady since tip
Why Midfield from barrier 5 with a 1st-up record of 1 start, and Ms Siabh Rigley's claim is a useful edge. He's the horse who gets the run if the genuine pace turns this into a sprint.

Roughie: I'm Guessing (No.10) — $10.00 / $2.80
Bet Tracked
Prob 9.9% | Place: 34.7% | Value: 0.99x Steady since tip
Why He's an uncontested leader on a genuine pace track, so the risk is the pace is overrated and he gets run down by the closers. Blinkers off, winkers on and ear muffs off, so there's a fresh set of gear to watch. If the speed holds him up, he's a roughie who can win.

Race 5 – Jacaranda Crown - F&M (Bm58)

Race type: BENCHMARK 58, 1600m
Map & tempo: Moderate pace, and the field has several horses who can take the front. Latin Lights (barrier 1), Bright The Sun (barrier 8), Highwire Girl (barrier 7) and Turn Left (barrier 3) are the likeliest to find the lead, but nobody is an outright leader. The expected pace suits Fiery Lass, Bright The Sun and Ghayoor, and it's against Latin Lights from barrier 1 because he's a sit-handy horse who gets hurt most by the shape.
Punty read: Latin Lights is the bet at $10.50 to win, and the shape is against him. He's won at Grafton 1700m, was a 2nd at Lismore 1536m over 2.3L last start, and the combo with Mallyon has been strong. Fiery Lass is the danger from the midfield with the shape working for her, and she's had a bad run on the Gold Coast. Tara Koda is the back-half horse who can run into the places with the sectional times on her side.

Top 3 + Roughie ($10.50 pool)

1. Latin Lights (No.2) — $3.50 / $1.60
Bet $10.50 Win, return $36.75
Prob 25.2% | Place: 58.9% | Value: 0.88x Steady since tip
Why He sits handy from barrier 1 and the shape doesn't suit him, but he's won 1 from 9 and has been placed 4 times from 9 overall. He's a 2nd last start at Lismore over 2.3L, and Andrew Mallyon has a solid combo with him.
2. Fiery Lass (No.1) — $4.20 / $1.72
Bet Tracked
Prob 20.4% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.86x Steady since tip
Why A real chance — but at $1.72 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.
3. Tara Koda (No.8) — $6.50 / $2.40
Bet Tracked
Prob 12.6% | Place: 41.9% | Value: 0.82x Steady since tip
Why Back from barrier 4 with the sectional times fastest in both the last 600 and last 400 metres. She's 2 wins from 23 with 3 seconds, and the place chance is the reason she's on my list.

Roughie: Turn Left (No.10) — $10.00 / $2.90
Bet Tracked
Prob 7.3% | Place: 28.0% | Value: 0.73x Steady since tip
Why He sits handy from barrier 3 and has been close, with a 2nd at Ballina over 0.3L last start. If the moderate pace stays moderate he can run into the placings.

Race 6 – CRJC Life Members Super Mdn Plate

Race type: MAIDEN, 1200m
Map & tempo: Genuine pace, with Stormy Martini the only leader from barrier 15. Nearest pressure comes from Mama Tried (barrier 18), Universal Energy (barrier 11), Finding Elle (barrier 9) and Magic Snitzel (barrier 8). No No No No No from barrier 17 sits midfield, and the shape helps him (1.28). Opine is the one who gets the run on the inside, and the closers take the field late.
Punty read: No No No No No is the bet at $15 to win, and the draw is his biggest problem. He's been placed 3 times from 4 starts, the shape is in his favour, and Andrew Mallyon has a strong combo with him. Stormy Martini is the leader who gets run down if the others come to him early, and Opine is the one on the value list with blinkers going on for the first time.

Top 3 + Roughie ($15.00 pool)

1. No No No No No (No.2) — $2.35 / $1.32
Bet $15.00 Win, return $35.25
Prob 30.2% | Place: 70.0% | Value: 0.71x Steady since tip
Why Midfield from a wide barrier 17, but the shape helps him (1.28) and he's been a 3rd last start at Eagle Farm over 6.9L. His sectional for the last 400 metres is the fastest in the field.
2. Stormy Martini (No.14) — $3.70 / $1.65
Bet Tracked
Prob 21.9% | Place: 70.0% | Value: 0.81x Steady since tip
Why A real chance — but at $1.65 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.
3. Opine (No.3) — $6.00 / $2.25
Bet Tracked
Prob 13.6% | Place: 52.3% | Value: 0.82x Steady since tip
Why Midfield from barrier 13 with the shape in his favour, and blinkers are on for the first time. Ben Looker's jockey-track record is strong, and he's been running on at the finish.

Roughie: Magic Snitzel (No.10) — $9.50 / $3.00
Bet Tracked
Prob 9.5% | Place: 38.9% | Value: 0.91x Steady since tip
Why Sits handy from barrier 8 and has the gear changes going in, with blinkers off, tongue tie on again and winkers on again. If the front-runners fight too hard, he's a roughie who can nick the place.

Race 7 – Jacaranda Cup (Bm82)

Race type: BENCHMARK 82, 1200m
Map & tempo: Moderate pace with two leaders in Via Vegas (barrier 6) and Dizzy Dee (barrier 3), so the lead is contested. Kingdom Undersiege, Grassburn and Jewels Statement are the ones the shape helps, and Rich Star from barrier 5 is hurt by it. This is an open race with speed to burn, and the closers are the ones I'd be watching.
Punty read: Rich Star is the bet at $15 to win, and the pace shape is against him. He's a 3rd last start at Taree over 0.8L and has won 1 from 2 at the distance, so the tough shape is what the price is compensating for. Lady Wardell is the danger from midfield, and she's been placed 7 times from 15 on soft, while Grey Effects has four wins from 11 on soft and can run into the place from back in the field.

Top 3 + Roughie ($15.00 pool)

1. Rich Star (No.7) — $4.40 / $1.80
Bet $15.00 Win, return $66.00
Prob 19.1% | Place: 53.9% | Value: 0.84x Steady since tip
Why He sits handy from barrier 5 and the shape hurts him, but he's been the best first-up horse with 3 seconds from 3 starts. His weight has dropped 4kg from last start, which helps, and the 1 win at distance is the reason I'm not walking away.
2. Lady Wardell (No.1) — $5.80 / $2.15
Bet Tracked
Prob 17.3% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 1.00x Steady since tip
Why A real chance — but at $2.15 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.
3. Grey Effects (No.3) — $7.40 / $2.50
Bet Tracked
Prob 13.4% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.99x Steady since tip
Why He's a back-marker from barrier 7 who likes the soft with four wins from 11 on it. Last start was a 2nd at Port Macquarie over 0.7L, and the fastest closing sectional is in his favour.

Roughie: Via Vegas (No.4) — $9.00 / $2.80
Bet Tracked
Prob 8.6% | Place: 34.1% | Value: 0.77x Steady since tip
Why He leads from barrier 6 in a contested race, and the pace is against him. He's got four wins from 15 at the distance and won at Port Macquarie 1004m last time out, so if he gets the lead uncontested he's a value price.

Race 8 – Remembering Rowan Wicks CB (Bm58)

Race type: BM 58, 1400m
Map & tempo: Slow pace, and nobody maps to lead. The likeliest to find the front are Contaldo (barrier 13) and Highland Hustle (barrier 2), and Contaldo is drawn so wide that he has to work to get there. Star Of Winston (barrier 9) is a midfield horse the shape helps (1.01), and Icewater and Gold Puma are back-half runners from barriers 7 who need cover.
Punty read: Star Of Winston is the bet at $7 each way, because he's won 2 from 8 and the price is fair. He won at Grafton 1420m last start and he's got good sectional times. Icewater is the value player who's been backed from $7.00 to $5.00, and he's fastest in both the last 600 and last 400 metres. Prince Of Prophets from the back is the one who could run home if the closing pace is strong.

Top 3 + Roughie ($7.00 pool)

1. Star Of Winston (No.2) — $5.00 / $1.70
Bet $7.00 Each Way ($3.50W + $3.50P), collects $23.45 if it wins ($17.50 win + $5.95 place), $5.95 if it only places
Prob 19.5% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.98x Steady since tip
Why He's midfield from barrier 9 and the shape helps him. He won last start at Grafton 1420m over 0.8L, and he's won 1 from 2 at the distance, which is the reason I'm putting the each-way on him.
2. Icewater (No.8) — $5.00 / $1.72
Bet Tracked
Prob 17.6% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.88x Steady since tip
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Prince Of Prophets (No.1) — $3.70 / $1.55
Bet Tracked
Prob 17.2% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.64x Steady since tip
Why He's from the back with barrier 4, and he's 2 wins from 15 with two placings at the track. He's the one who'll run on late if the closers get the speed they want.

Roughie: Gold Puma (No.13) — $9.00 / $2.60
Bet Tracked
Prob 10.6% | Place: 34.1% | Value: 0.95x Steady since tip
Why Midfield from barrier 7 with sectional times ranked 2nd in both the last 600 and last 400 metres. He's a 1-4-4 horse, so the place chance is real if the closing pace finds him.

SEQUENCE LANES

EARLY QUADDIE (R1–R4)

Smart: 5,4,1 / 2,5,6 / 8,6,5 / 4,3,7,10 (108 combos x $0.3241 = $35.00) -- 32.4% flexi
Punty's take: Zweigelt and Swift Sovereign keep R1 tight, and R2 is a fair spread with Sarmat as the anchor. R3 and R4 are the open legs, so the spread is wide and the chaos is what pays. Minimum 30% flexi, and the ticket is solid for the early races.

QUADDIE (R5–R8)

Smart: 2,1,8,10 / 2,14,3 / 7,1,3,4 / 2,1,8,13 (192 combos x $0.33854 = $65.00) -- 33.9% flexi
Punty's take: Three of the four legs are open, so this is a wide, expensive ticket with a short-priced winner in R6 that won't pay much on its own. Minimum 30% flexi. It needs a $5 to $10 winner somewhere to pay well, so it's a play for the bigger payout, not the safe one.

BIG 6 (R3–R8)

Smart: 8,6,5,3 / 4,3,7,10 / 2,1,8,10 / 2,14,3,10 / 7,1,3,4 / 2,1,8,13 (4096 combos x $0.00122 = $5.00) -- 0.12% flexi
Punty's take: Five of six legs are open, so the hit rate is low. This is an entertainment ticket for $5, and the flexi floor for the Big 6 is 0.10%, so the 0.13% meets it. Play it for the laugh, not the money.

NUGGETS FROM THE TRACK

1 - Opine's blinkers go on
Blinkers go on first time for No.3 Opine in Race 6, and he's been a 2nd and a 3rd in his last 3 starts. Watch the market before the jump.
2 - Icewater's market run
Icewater in Race 8 has come in from $7.00 to $5.00, and his last 600 and last 400 metre sectionals are both the fastest in the field. Something is being said about him, and it's not a whisper.
3 - Rock The Machine loves the wet
Rock The Machine in Race 7 has drifted from $34.00 to $67.00 and is 112 days off, but he's won 4 from 8 on soft. If it's a wet day in the last race, the market might be wrong about him.

FINAL WORD FROM THE SICKO SANCTUARY

That's the card, you beautiful degenerates. Get on the early races, keep your eye on the closers, and remember the horses that look like easy money usually aren't.
