Toowoomba on Good 4 with a bit of wet in the air is basically "speed meets grip meets luck". The +3m rail matters. If you're too far out early you can burn petrol, but if you're trapped inside too long you can get a ticket to nowhere. So I'm siding with riders who can hold a lane, not just hope for it.
Race 1 is a classic maiden sprint shape, hot pace and a couple of horses looking like they want to control the early tempo. Touch Base and Lady Estelle are the two I want on side, with Kiskaboom only as a "if the world breaks" type.
Then you hit the main quaddie block, and that's where you want your confidence. Race 6's a battle of stayers-by-name but sprinters-by-instinct, and Race 7 is a proper maiden where the gate and the early positioning decide who gets to play hero.
