PUNTY EARLY MAIL, Randwick (2026-10-31)
For all of Punty's tips for Randwick, head to https://punty.ai/tips/randwick-2026-10-31

Rightio Ratbags, Randwick on a Good 4 with 10 races, 156 runners and 13 scratchings, and the card has a bit of everything. There are two proper Benchmark banker-ish spots, a Soft Hot Pace sprint that will eat itself, and a Sheza Alibi at $1.75 that the market has basically handed over the keys to. Grab a coffee, sit down, and let's get into it.

MEET SNAPSHOT

Track: Randwick, 1100m to 2000m card
Rail: True (no rail position in the data)
Official going: Good 4 (Nil last 24hrs, 2mm last 7 days)
Weather: Overcast, live gusts 25.9km/h
Early lane guess: unknown pre-race, watch the first two
Tempo profile: Moderate in R1, R2 and R4, Genuine in R3, R6, R7 and R8, Slow in R5 and R9, Hot in R10
Jockeys to follow:
Tommy Berry: 9 rides on the card, including Donatello in R1 and Ertijaaj in R6, the two horses I'd least like to see you ignore.
Nash Rawiller: 8 rides, with Bluish Hue in R2 and Beiwacht in R8 the headline jobs.
Tim Clark: 8 rides, and he has Ruination in R3 plus Dusty Bay in R4 riding for the stable's own agenda.
Stables to respect:
C J Waller (17 runners): the biggest operation on the card, with Donatello in R1 and Beiwacht in R8 leading the charge.
Nathan Doyle (8 runners): Lightning Glory and Just Response both take up a leader-and-chaser role in R3, so the speed is clearly not an accident.
Michael Freedman (7 runners): Ruination is the Big 3 horse in R3, with Apocalyptic in R8 and Sylph in R10 also coming out of this barn.

Punty's take: Randwick has a proper speed story in some spots and a pile of ways to lose in others. R1 is a moderate sprint on paper with no one mapping to lead, which means it will be a sit-and-wait race for whoever can find a clean run. R3 is the cleanest race on the card for a leader, with Just Response the only horse mapping to lead. Just Response is one of the few speed horses here, so the pace will be honest up front and the ones who sit back in that race will need the leader to tire. R5 and R9 are slow-pace races where the back half is shaping up to be the place to be, and nobody with a true early speed rating should be getting too comfortable. R10 is the chaos race of the day: three horses map to lead, Whatalegacy, Nullarbor Jane and Monte Veebee, and the first two of those will be scrapping for the front the whole way. Whatever you do, don't wait for the R10 favourites to be the default answer.

What it means for you: My plan is to be aggressive where the price is honest and the speed is clear, and to protect the bankers when the field is tight. R3 and R8 are the big-stake races, R8 because Sheza Alibi is short and the shape is against it, which is why I've kept the stake there on the win. R6 and R10 are where the each-way value sits, because the place prices pay something. The quaddie and Big 6 tickets below are built around the open legs, so don't expect the short-priced favourites to carry the whole ticket. The main idea is simple: stick with the locked selections, back the staked horses, and let the rest of the card come to you.

PUNTY'S BIG 3 + MULTI

These are the three bets the day leans on.

1 - Sheza Alibi (Race 8, No.16) — $1.75 / $1.13
Why Five wins from eight on good, four from four second-up, and he's the one horse in the race who has been winning from a sit that works for him. Yes, the shape is against him, but the price is short enough that I'm happy to let the form speak.
2 - Ruination (Race 3, No.4) — $3.30 / $1.52
Why Two wins from three first-up, and the Place figure is 70.0% so the market has him as a placegetter first. The shape is against him, but he still gets the trail behind the pace he needs and Tim Clark has been strong at Randwick.
3 - Columbus (Race 5, No.8) — $5.00 / $1.70
Why Blinkers come off for the first time, the sectional time is fastest on the card for his last start, and the Slow Pace shape suits a horse that sits midfield from barrier 6.
Multi (all three to win): $10 × 28.87 = $288.70

Race 1 – Toyota Forklifts

Race type: Benchmark 78, 1500m
Map & tempo: Moderate pace on paper, but nobody maps to lead and the likeliest front-runners are Azarax from barrier 1 and Spread The Love from barrier 2. Those two will be fighting for the speed and Agent Zero, drawn wide at barrier 7, has to work to cross. That sets it up for a sit-and-wait race, and the shape suits the ones on the speed here more than the backmarkers. Donatello from barrier 5 gets a nice sit in the middle, and I'd be surprised if the early speed collapses.
Punty read: Donatello is the one with money on it, and I like that the market has moved from $5.00 to $3.30 on him. He sits midfield from barrier 5, the shape helps him, and his sectionals are the best on the card: fastest on the 600m, rank 2 on the 400m and fastest on time. Tommy Berry rides, and C J Waller has the stable on the front foot. Force March is the danger at $9.00, a midfielder with a strong Place chance who I wouldn't be shocked to see run on. The one I'm not backing is She Moves Too at $4.70, because her place price does not pay enough for the chance she's got.

Top 3 + Roughie ($9.00 pool)

1. Donatello (No.7) — $3.30 / $1.45
Bet $9.00 Win, return $29.70
Prob 21.2% | Place: 46.3% | Value: 0.70x Steady since tip
Why Fastest sectional time on the card and the market has been right to back him in. The shape helps him from midfield.
2. Force March (No.6) — $9.00 / $2.60
Bet Tracked
Prob 15.8% | Place: 34.1% | Value: 1.42x Steady since tip
Why A real chance — but at $2.60 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.
3. She Moves Too (No.4) — $4.70 / $1.65
Bet Tracked
Prob 14.9% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.70x Steady since tip
Why Strong closing sectionals and a backmarker who can finish, but the shape doesn't suit a closer in a moderate pace. He's one for the list, not the ticket.
Roughie: Cabbucio (No.8) — $9.50 / $2.65
Bet Tracked
Prob 10.7% | Place: 34.1% | Value: 1.01x Steady since tip
Why If the pace stays soft and the field bunches, Cabbucio from barrier 3 gets a sit near the mid pack and can finish off the back of a tough run.

Race 2 – TAB Highway Hcp

Race type: Class 3, 1400m
Map & tempo: Moderate pace with a crowded lead group, and Hip Hip Ole from barrier 2 is the one most likely to get to the front cleanly. Flamboyant Lad, Halo Phenomena, Bonnie Murringo and Amarone are all in the mix for the early speed, so the pace could build more than the label suggests. Bluish Hue settles midfield from barrier 6, and the shape helps him more than most, while the wide runners from barriers 13 and up have a lot of ground to make up.
Punty read: Bluish Hue is the staked horse and the bet is a $13.00 win, which tells you where my head is. Blinkers go on for the first time, he's won two from eleven on good, and his sectionals on the 600m and 400m are the fastest in the race. Nash Rawiller has the ride and the combo with M J Dunn is clean. The price is short at $2.05, so I'm not expecting a windfall, but he's the horse with the most solid chance. Bonnie Murringo is the one I'd be watching at $18.00 because the market has come in from $41.00 and blinkers are back on again.

Top 3 + Roughie ($13.00 pool)

1. Bluish Hue (No.2) — $2.15 / $1.25
Bet $13.00 Win, return $27.95
Prob 20.7% | Place: 58.5% | Value: 0.45x Steady since tip
Why Blinkers first time and the fastest sectionals on the card in this race. He sits midfield from a barrier that gives him a clean sit.
2. Party Boss (No.6) — $9.50 / $3.10
Bet Tracked
Prob 10.3% | Place: 38.8% | Value: 0.98x Steady since tip
Why A real chance — but at $3.10 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.
3. Street Force (No.16) — $7.00 / $2.50
Bet Tracked
Prob 8.5% | Place: 34.1% | Value: 0.60x Steady since tip
Why Wide from barrier 20 and a backmarker, so he needs the pace to fall apart. He's a good-looking ride for Mikayla Weir but not a bet at this price.
Roughie: Bonnie Murringo (No.15) — $18.00 / $4.40
Bet Tracked
Prob 5.8% | Place: 24.4% | Value: 1.04x Steady since tip
Why Blinkers back on again and the market has shortened from $41.00 to $18.00, which is a sign somebody knows something. If the lead group goes hard, the on-pace runners get caught and he can run down a tired leader.

Race 3 – Mostyncopper

Race type: Benchmark 78, 1300m
Map & tempo: Genuine pace with Just Response the only horse mapping to lead, from barrier 2. Mawjood from barrier 5, Lightning Glory from barrier 3 and Ruination from barrier 7 are the early pressure. The shape suits the forward runners, and Ruination is the one of the bunch with a shape against it. Silencio Porfavor from barrier 9 is one to wait on.
Punty read: Ruination is the staked horse and my number one, with a $13.00 win bet at $3.30. The shape is against him because he sits handy from barrier 7 in a genuine pace, but he's won two from three first-up and has a strong Place of 70.0%. Michael Freedman has him right, Tim Clark rides, and the T@trk figure at 18.4% is above the card's average. The danger is the forward speed in Mawjood and Lightning Glory, who will burn each other off early if Just Response goes hard. Mawjood at $5.50 is the one I'd watch in the market.

Top 3 + Roughie ($13.00 pool)

1. Ruination (No.4) — $3.30 / $1.52
Bet $13.00 Win, return $42.90
Prob 27.2% | Place: 70.0% | Value: 0.90x Steady since tip
Why Two wins from three first-up and a place profile that the market hasn't quite caught up with. He gets a clean trail from barrier 7 if the speed fights itself out in front.
2. Mawjood (No.1) — $5.50 / $1.95
Bet Tracked
Prob 15.7% | Place: 52.0% | Value: 0.86x Steady since tip
Why A real chance — but at $1.95 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.
3. Lightning Glory (No.3) — $7.00 / $2.25
Bet Tracked
Prob 14.9% | Place: 38.9% | Value: 1.04x Steady since tip
Why Tongue tie on for the first time and four wins from eight overall, with the shape suiting handy runners. He's a live horse, but the place price is not enough.
Roughie: Fiddlers Green (No.2) — $11.00 / $3.00
Bet Tracked
Prob 7.6% | Place: 32.7% | Value: 0.83x Steady since tip
Why Barrier 1 gives him a cheap sit near the rail if the leader gets the pace going, and he's won six from twenty-nine career.

Race 4 – Four Pillars Midway

Race type: Benchmark 68, 1500m
Map & tempo: Moderate pace with a crowd of leaders, including Dusty Bay from barrier 1, Satness from barrier 2 and Stylebender from barrier 12. That's a lot of speed for a moderate tempo, and the shape helps Satness and Change My Address while it hurts Stylebender and Just In Time. Cuban Cigar from barrier 15 is a backmarker who has to wait for cover, and that's the big question in this race.
Punty read: There's no stake in this one, and that's the call. Cuban Cigar is rank 1 in my ratings at $8.50, but the bet line says no bet because of the roughie guard rule, so I'm not putting money on him. The race shape is open, with the early speed crowded and the backmarkers needing luck. Magical Moments and Alabama State are the pair to follow, and Spaceballs is the roughie I'd want to see at a double-digit price. I'm not telling you to back any of them here, just to keep the list.

Top 3 + Roughie ($15.00 pool)

1. Cuban Cigar (No.5) — $8.50 / $2.90
Bet $15.00 Each Way ($7.50W + $7.50P), collects $85.50 if it wins ($63.75 win + $21.75 place), $21.75 if it only places
Prob 10.2% | Place: 37.7% | Value: 0.87x Steady since tip
Why He's the best-rated horse on paper, but the backmarker role in a moderate pace makes him hard to trust. Keep him on the list.
2. Magical Moments (No.13) — $10.00 / $3.30
Bet Tracked
Prob 9.8% | Place: 34.1% | Value: 0.98x Steady since tip
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Alabama State (No.1) — $6.00 / $2.25
Bet Tracked
Prob 9.5% | Place: 29.3% | Value: 0.57x Steady since tip
Why Jett Newman rides a midfielder who has won five from twenty-seven career and has a strong record on good tracks.
Roughie: Spaceballs (No.6) — $12.00 / $3.80
Bet Tracked
Prob 8.6% | Place: 32.7% | Value: 1.03x Steady since tip
Why Three wins from fifteen overall, a midfield sit from barrier 14, and a closing sectional that can get him into the frame if the front runners fade.

Race 5 – Alm On-Premise

Race type: Benchmark 78, 2000m
Map & tempo: Slow pace with nobody mapping to lead or sit handy, so the race will be run from the back. The shape suits the back half, with Mornington Pier, Cavalry and Koolibah all helped most. Columbus is the one midfielder with a good draw from barrier 6, and the shape helps him as well. Perisher is the backmarker at a short price, and he needs everyone to make the race look fast from the start.
Punty read: Columbus is the staked horse and the Each Way bet is $10.50. He's been a midfielder with a clean run, blinkers come off for the first time, and his sectional time is the fastest on the card for this race. Zac Lloyd rides, and the win price at $5.00 is decent enough for a horse who can sit in the trail. Perisher at $2.30 is the one to watch, because the shape suits him and he's in the market heavy. Cavalry is the danger at $8.00, with visors on for the first time and the market firmer in his favour.

Top 3 + Roughie ($10.50 pool)

1. Columbus (No.8) — $5.00 / $1.70
Bet $10.50 Each Way ($5.25W + $5.25P), collects $35.18 if it wins ($26.25 win + $8.93 place), $8.93 if it only places
Prob 21.3% | Place: 59.3% | Value: 1.06x Steady since tip
Why Blinkers off for the first time and the fastest sectional time in the race, plus a strong place profile in a slow race where a midfielder with good turn of foot can run down the field.
2. Perisher (No.2) — $2.30 / $1.12
Bet Tracked
Prob 19.3% | Place: 53.5% | Value: 0.44x Steady since tip
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Cavalry (No.11) — $8.00 / $2.35
Bet Tracked
Prob 18.9% | Place: 40.5% | Value: 1.51x Steady since tip
Why Visors on for the first time, a backmarker who has been running well, and a slow pace that suits him down to the ground. He's a strong live chance.
Roughie: Think Itz You (No.9) — $12.00 / $2.75
Bet Tracked
Prob 8.0% | Place: 32.7% | Value: 0.96x Steady since tip
Why Tommy Berry rides a midfielder who can sit handy and pick off a tiring leader if the Slow Pace gets slower.

Race 6 – E Security Group

Race type: Benchmark 78, 1300m
Map & tempo: Genuine pace with Metallic Cat the only horse mapping to lead, from barrier 4. Ertijaaj from barrier 2 is the on-pace runner who will be right behind him, and the shape helps Ertijaaj. Chix is the other on-pace runner, and Shotgun Bella from barrier 12 has to work to cross. The back half is wide, so the sit is the place to be.
Punty read: Ertijaaj is the staked horse and the Each Way bet is $6.00. The shape helps him, he's won two from three on good and two from three first-up, and the market has firmed from $8.00 to $6.50. Tommy Berry rides and C J Waller is the stable, which is always handy. The danger is Chix at $7.50, on-pace from barrier 3 and the market heavy for him, plus Metallic Cat who will set the tempo. Hellenic Belle is the roughie at $11.00 with a good strike profile on good tracks.

Top 3 + Roughie ($6.00 pool)

1. Ertijaaj (No.3) — $6.50 / $2.40
Bet $6.00 Each Way ($3.00W + $3.00P), collects $26.70 if it wins ($19.50 win + $7.20 place), $7.20 if it only places
Prob 13.7% | Place: 38.9% | Value: 0.89x Steady since tip
Why Two wins from three on good and the market has firmed. He sits right behind the leader and gets a clean run if the front pair don't go too hard.
2. Metallic Cat (No.5) — $7.00 / $2.50
Bet Tracked
Prob 12.0% | Place: 34.6% | Value: 0.84x Steady since tip
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Chix (No.7) — $7.50 / $2.65
Bet Tracked
Prob 10.1% | Place: 34.2% | Value: 0.76x Steady since tip
Why On-pace from barrier 3, with a strong jockey and trainer combo and a market that has backed him in heavily.
Roughie: Hellenic Belle (No.15) — $11.00 / $3.30
Bet Tracked
Prob 8.8% | Place: 31.5% | Value: 0.97x Steady since tip
Why Braith Nock rides a midfielder who has been running on, and the T-HOT tag says the trainer has been firing lately.

Race 7 – The Russell Balding Stakes

Race type: Open, 1300m
Map & tempo: Genuine pace with Theblade the only leader from barrier 14, and that's a wide one. The early pressure is everywhere with Caballus, Pericles, Grafterburners and Ninja all on the speed, and the shape helps Caballus and Headwall. Jimmysstar from barrier 15 is a midfielder who has to get across, and the shape is against him. Headwall is the backmarker who gets the sit behind all that speed.
Punty read: Jimmysstar is the staked horse and the Each Way bet is $13.00. He's won seven from seventeen on good and three from five at the trip, and the market has drifted from $3.50 to $4.50. I can't see a clean reason for the drift, so I'm not going to make one up. The shape is against him, but he's got the class and the jockey and trainer combo to get the job done. Headwall at $4.40 is the one I'd be watching because the shape suits a backmarker and he's a real chance.

Top 3 + Roughie ($13.00 pool)

1. Jimmysstar (No.1) — $4.50 / $1.80
Bet $13.00 Each Way ($6.50W + $6.50P), collects $40.95 if it wins ($29.25 win + $11.70 place), $11.70 if it only places
Prob 21.2% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.95x Steady since tip
Why Seven wins from seventeen on good, a strong trip record and the market has drifted, which gives him a price. Wide from barrier 15 is a problem, but the class holds.
2. Headwall (No.8) — $4.40 / $1.75
Bet Tracked
Prob 18.7% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.82x Steady since tip
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Ninja (No.6) — $5.40 / $2.00
Bet Tracked
Prob 13.5% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.73x Steady since tip
Why Three wins from seven on good and a strong trip record, but he's on the speed from barrier 12 and the pace could be too hot for him.
Roughie: Grafterburners (No.5) — $11.50 / $3.10
Bet Tracked
Prob 8.8% | Place: 32.7% | Value: 1.01x Steady since tip
Why Nash Rawiller rides a horse who has won four from nine on good, and the field's speed could leave him a fresh run late.

Race 8 – Asahi Super Dry Golden Eagle

Race type: Open, 1500m
Map & tempo: Genuine pace with Beiwacht the only horse mapping to lead, from barrier 9. Skyhook from barrier 14 is the other speed and has to work across. The shape suits the back half, with Platinum Pantheon and Within The Law both helped. Sheza Alibi is a midfielder from barrier 5 and the shape is against her, but she's got the record to win anyway.
Punty read: Sheza Alibi is the staked horse with a $13.00 win bet at $1.75. The shape is against her and I won't pretend otherwise. What wins it is five wins from eight on good, four wins from four second-up, and the sectionals on the 600m and 400m are both rank 2 or better. The jockey has been cold lately, with Luke Nolen at six percent over the last 100 rides, and that's the one thing that worries me. Beiwacht is the danger, the only leader in a genuine pace, and his blinkers have changed to a Norton bit, which tells me the stable has tried something new.

Top 3 + Roughie ($13.00 pool)

1. Sheza Alibi (No.16) — $1.75 / $1.13
Bet $13.00 Win, return $22.75
Prob 39.4% | Place: 70.0% | Value: 0.69x Steady since tip
Why Five wins from eight on good and four from four second-up. The shape is against her, but she has the record to win from the midfield.
2. Beiwacht (No.1) — $8.20 / $2.15
Bet Tracked
Prob 18.6% | Place: 61.5% | Value: 1.53x Steady since tip
Why A real chance — but at $2.15 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.
3. Autumn Boy (No.3) — $13.50 / $2.70
Bet Tracked
Prob 9.1% | Place: 38.9% | Value: 1.23x Steady since tip
Why Strong jockey strike rate at Randwick this season and a midfield sit, but blinkers are off again and I'm not convinced he's back to his best.
Roughie: Skyhook (No.2) — $16.50 / $2.90
Bet Tracked
Prob 7.2% | Place: 32.7% | Value: 1.20x Steady since tip
Why Barrier 14 is a tough draw, but if Beiwacht gets a soft lead and the race sits, Skyhook can come from the speed with a run.

Race 9 – Sydney Gold Cup

Race type: Open, 2000m
Map & tempo: Slow pace with nobody mapping to lead, and Campaldino from barrier 7 and Don Diego De Vega from barrier 11 the likeliest to find the front. The shape suits the back half, with Kovalica, Portland and Doctor Askar all helped most. Starzintheireyes is the midfielder who has to work against that shape, and that's the big question in this race.
Punty read: Starzintheireyes is the staked horse and the Each Way bet is $7.50. He's the favourite on the card in the market, and the shape is against him, but I'm not running from the number. He's got a strong place profile and the sectional time at rank 2 is one of the best in the field. Chad Schofield has the ride and the trainer is John O'Shea and Tom Charlton. Barrengarry at $3.80 is the danger, and Kovalica at $11.00 is the roughie who could get the back-half run in a slow race.

Top 3 + Roughie ($7.50 pool)

1. Starzintheireyes (No.9) — $4.10 / $1.65
Bet $7.50 Each Way ($3.75W + $3.75P), collects $21.57 if it wins ($15.38 win + $6.19 place), $6.19 if it only places
Prob 20.4% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.84x Steady since tip
Why Four seconds on good and a place profile that pays. The shape is against him, but he's a horse who runs into the money.
2. Barrengarry (No.14) — $3.80 / $1.65
Bet Tracked
Prob 18.3% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.70x Steady since tip
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Anthracite (No.10) — $5.00 / $1.82
Bet Tracked
Prob 14.6% | Place: 45.1% | Value: 0.73x Steady since tip
Why Six wins from fourteen career and a good record on good tracks. He's a midfielder who could benefit if the front runners stop too soon.
Roughie: Kovalica (No.1) — $11.00 / $3.10
Bet Tracked
Prob 9.3% | Place: 32.7% | Value: 1.02x Steady since tip
Why A backmarker who gets the back-half shape, and a slow pace could let him run down a tired leader from barrier 2.

Race 10 – Catanach's Jewellers

Race type: Benchmark 78, 1100m
Map & tempo: Hot pace with three horses mapping to lead, Whatalegacy from barrier 4, Nullarbor Jane from barrier 8 and Monte Veebee from barrier 3. The shape suits Monte Veebee and hurts Whatalegacy and Nullarbor Jane, while the closers from the wide draws have to get home. Mercy Me from barrier 9 is on the speed and the shape is against him too.
Punty read: Whatalegacy is the staked horse with the Each Way bet at $8.50. The shape is against him because he leads in a hot pace, but he's won three from five overall and two from two first-up, and Tommy Berry rides for Bjorn Baker. The danger is the speed in Nullarbor Jane and Monte Veebee, who could go hard early and tire the field. Mercy Me at $7.50 is the one who could run down a tiring leader, and Where'stheprofit at $9.00 is the roughie who gets the trail.

Top 3 + Roughie ($8.50 pool)

1. Whatalegacy (No.8) — $6.50 / $2.40
Bet $8.50 Each Way ($4.25W + $4.25P), collects $37.83 if it wins ($27.63 win + $10.20 place), $10.20 if it only places
Prob 16.6% | Place: 38.8% | Value: 1.08x Steady since tip
Why Two wins from two first-up and a strong jockey and trainer combo. He's the leader, and the shape is against him, but his form says he can run his race.

Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Sylph (No.5) — $6.50 / $2.40

Why Cross-over nose band on again and visors on for the first time. He's a midfielder with a strong jockey strike rate, and the hot pace could bring him into the finish.
Roughie: Where'stheprofit (No.4) — $9.00 / $3.00

Why Six wins from eleven career and four from four at the trip, so if the leaders go too hard, he's the one who can run them down.

SEQUENCE LANES

EARLY QUADDIE (R3–R6)

Smart: 4,1,3 / 5,13,6,1 / 8,2,11 / 3,5,7,15 (144 combos x $0.3472 = $50.00) -- 34.7% flexi
Punty's take: R5 and R3 are the tighter legs, and R4 is open with plenty of chaos. Minimum 30% flexi floor applies, and this one is a high-risk ticket with a short shot at a big return.

QUADDIE (R7–R10)

Smart: 1,8,6,5 / 16,1,3,2 / 14,9,10,1 / 9,5,8,4 (256 combos x $0.3125 = $80.00) -- 31.2% flexi
Punty's take: R8 is the wide leg, and R10 is the chaos race that decides the ticket. Minimum 30% flexi floor applies, and it's a big outlay for a ticket that needs a longshot or two to pay.

BIG 6 (R5–R10)

Smart: 8,2,11 / 3,5,7,15 / 1,8,6,5 / 16,1,3,2,15 / 14,9,10,1 / 9,5,8,4 (3840 combos x $0.001302 = $5.00) -- 0.13% flexi
Punty's take: This is an entertainment-only ticket with a massive combo count and a tiny flexi. Five of six legs are open, so I'd treat it as a lottery ticket and not a serious play.

NUGGETS FROM THE TRACK

1 - Blinkers on, speed to match
Bluish Hue wears blinkers for the first time in R2, and his sectionals are the fastest on the card for that race. Watch the market.
2 - Blinkers off, time fastest
Columbus loses his blinkers for the first time in R5, and his last-start time was the fastest in the field. He's the one to watch in the Slow Pace.
3 - Good tracks, good numbers
Jokers Grin has won seven from twelve on good in R7 and is listed at $34.00. He's a backmarker who can shock if the leaders go too hard.

FINAL WORD FROM THE SICKO SANCTUARY

That's the card, you beautiful bastards. Sheza Alibi is short, Columbus is a sit-and-wait each-way, and R10 is going to be a proper scrap. Keep the stakes honest and let the horses do the talking.
