Punty's Early Mail
For all of Punty's tips for Happy Valley, head to https://punty.ai/tips/happy-valley-2026-11-01
Rightio Degenerates, Happy Valley on a fine 24.9°C arvo with not a drop of rain on the ground, and a ten-race card running from 1000m to 1800m that rewards the punters who actually read the maps. There's a bit of early speed in a few places, a couple of races that look like they'll roll into a mess, and one 1000m sprint where the pace is hot enough to fry an egg. Grab a coffee, get comfortable, and let's get into it.
MEET SNAPSHOT
Track: Happy Valley, 1000m to 1800m card
Rail: "C+3" Course
Official going: Not in the data yet, so check the rating before you jump (0mm rainfall)
Weather: Fine, 24.9°C, wind 2km/h SSE, gusts 25.9km/h
Early lane guess: Unknown pre-race, watch the first two
Tempo profile: Moderate in R1, R3, R8 and R10. Slow in R2. Genuine in R5, R6 and R9. Hot in R4 and R7.
Jockeys to follow:
Alexis Badel (9 rides): Nine rides on the card including Smart City (R1), Same To You (R5), Happy United (R4), Victory Sky (R7) and Master Lucky (R9), so he's in plenty of the races where the pace shape matters.
Vincent Ho (9 rides): Always Fluke (R1), Incredible Moment (R3), Family Fortune (R6) and The Heir (R10) are all in his book, and he's riding at 8.6% at this track (544/6300).
Jerry Chau (8 rides): Dazzling Fit (R9), Flying Wrote (R10) and Gameplayer Elite (R5) are among his rides, and he's 9.1% at this track (311/3432) with 14% over his last 100.
Stables to respect:
J J Size (9 runners): Noble Fans (R1), Take Action (R2) and Country Pride (R3) are the headline runners, and the stable is 12.7% at this track (851/6711).
P F Yiu (9 runners): Smart City (R1), Rising Force (R7) and Prestige Good (R9) are the ones to watch, with a 9.4% track strike rate (551/5867).
C Fownes (8 runners): Young Fighter (R1), Super Sixty (R4) and Jumbo Blessing (R8) are the runners to respect, and the stable is 9.6% at this track (657/6838).
Punty's take: Here's the thing about today. The pace is all over the shop, and that's exactly why I like it. Races 1, 3 and 8 are all moderate on paper, but they're not the same animal. Race 1 has four or so horses who all want to be near the front and nobody who owns it. Race 3 has seven runners mapped as on-speed, which means somebody in that bunch is going to get cooked early. Race 8 is the cleanest of the three, with Lucy In The Sky and Da Ai the only two mapped to lead and Jumbo Blessing settling midfield from barrier 2. That's the race where the map does the talking.
Races 4 and 7 are the hot ones. Four leaders in each, so the speed battle is going to be fierce and the horses sitting handy need the leaders to tire. Race 5, 6 and 9 are genuine paces with one clear leader each. Those are the races where the one horse on the front tells you how the day goes, and where a backmarker can swoop if the leader gets tired. Race 2 is the slow one, a 1650m sprint-tempo race where the front-runner is not going to be hard to find, and the handy horses get a nice dawdle to sit on.
What it means for you: Be aggressive in the moderate races where the speed is shared and the map gives you a clear edge, particularly Race 8, where I've got the day's strongest single bet. Protect yourself in the hot races, because four leaders means that if you're backing the one who stays on, you need the others to fall in a heap. The quaddie is wide open in the back half, so the tickets here will be about lots of combos, not about hitting a banker. Keep the stakes honest, keep the staking in line with the locked bets, and don't chase.
PUNTY'S BIG 3 + MULTI
These are the three bets the day leans on.
1 - Jumbo Blessing (Race 8, No.8) — $2.00
Why He's won his last three starts, all at Happy Valley over 1000m, and the map has him settling midfield from barrier 2 in a race where the shape works for him.
2 - Georgian Sigma (Race 4, No.2) — $3.00
Why He's the one who's been winning at this trip on this track lately, and he's the horse who has to win the speed fight in a hot-pace sprint, which makes his form on the front the key.
3 - Winning Money (Race 5, No.4) — $10.00
Why He's fresh off a 7th at Happy Valley 1200m, but he's the fastest on the time sectionals and the one who can dominate a genuine-pace race if the front-runner tires.
Multi (all three to win): $10 × 60.00 = $600.00
Race 1 – Dongguan Hcp
Race type: Class 5, 1200m
Map & tempo: Moderate pace on paper, but nobody is a clear lead, so the front is up for grabs between Beauty Gemini (barrier 5), Young Fighter (barrier 4), Always Fluke (barrier 6) and Smart City (barrier 9). Smart City has to work from the wide draw to get across, which leaves Always Fluke with a handy sit. The shape is against Always Fluke on paper, but his form at this trip is strong enough to carry him through, and the backmarkers like Legendary Impact and Russet Glow have to get cover from a lot of horses.
Punty read: Always Fluke is the bet, each way, and the reason is that he's the one with the most early speed on the card and the class of the race. He's won once and placed three times from 18 at this trip, and he's got Vincent Ho in the saddle. Noble Fans and Von Baer are the danger runners, both midfield, and Noble Fans has the stronger Happy Valley form. Von Baer has the fastest last-600 sectional in the race, so if the pace is moderate he'll be running on late.
Top 3 + Roughie ($10.50 pool)
1. Always Fluke (No.8) — $6.00 / place tote
Bet $10.50 Each Way ($5.25W + $5.25P), collects $31.50 plus the tote place dividend if it wins, the tote place dividend if it only places
Prob 14.7% | Place: 35.8% | Value: 0.88x
Why Sits handy from barrier 6 and has won at this trip, with 1 win and 3 seconds from 18 at the distance. Hood is back on again, and Vincent Ho knows how to get him into a rhythm.
2. Noble Fans (No.6) — $2.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 11.2% | Place: 38.2% | Value: 0.22x
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Von Baer (No.12) — $3.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 11.1% | Place: 44.6% | Value: 0.33x
Why Fastest last-600 sectional in the race and placed at Happy Valley over 1200m, so he's the one who'll be finishing fastest if the leaders come back to him.
Roughie: Russet Glow (No.2) — $11.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 6.7% | Place: 24.5% | Value: 0.74x
Why Drawn wide at barrier 11 and back in the field, so he needs the front to go hard and the rail to open up. Second at Sha Tin 1200m last start, and if the leaders come back to him he's got the kick to run through them.
Race 2 – Foshan Hcp
Race type: Class 4, 1650m
Map & tempo: Slow pace on paper, with Luck Is Back (barrier 10) the only horse mapped to find the front. He's drawn wide, so he has to work to cross, and the handy runners get a dawdle to sit on. Class (barrier 12) and Smiling Champion (barrier 11) are back-half runners who need cover, and the slow tempo makes that cover hard to find.
Punty read: Luck Is Back heads my list on the numbers, but he's a No Bet today, so treat him as the horse to watch rather than a bet. He ran second over 1650m at Happy Valley last start (0.2L), and his trainer P C Ng has him fit. Flying Boom and Exceed The Limit are the others in the mix. Flying Boom has the best recent sectional work in the race and has run 2nd and 3rd at Sha Tin 1600m, but he's another one who needs the pace to pick up. Exceed The Limit has been held up and bumped, so the slow tempo could work in his favour if he settles.
Top 3 + Roughie ($15.00 pool)
1. Luck Is Back (No.9) — $10.00 / place tote
Bet $15.00 Each Way ($7.50W + $7.50P), collects $75.00 plus the tote place dividend if it wins, the tote place dividend if it only places
Prob 15.3% | Place: 27.0% | Value: 1.53x
Why Ran second at Happy Valley 1650m last start and has two wins and a second from his last three over this trip. The slow pace is the only real knock.
2. Flying Boom (No.5) — $8.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 13.8% | Place: 32.4% | Value: 1.10x
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Exceed The Limit (No.1) — $7.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 12.9% | Place: 28.5% | Value: 0.90x
Why Third at Happy Valley 1650m last start after three runs of bad luck, so the excuses are there, and a clean run might be what he needs.
Roughie: Class (No.2) — $12.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 7.7% | Place: 20.0% | Value: 0.92x
Why Two wins and two seconds from 16 starts, and the visors are off with blinkers back on. If the leaders are soft and the back-half runners get clear, he can run home.
Race 3 – Huizhou Hcp
Race type: Class 4, 1200m
Map & tempo: Moderate pace on paper, but seven runners are mapped to be on the speed, so somebody's going to get cooked. New Power (barrier 10) and Shanghai Warrior (barrier 9) are both wide and have to work, while Vigor Eye (barrier 2) and King Oberon (barrier 3) are on the inside and will fight for the sit. Country Pride (barrier 11) and Supreme Data (barrier 12) are the back-half runners who need cover, and the shape is against Lean Era.
Punty read: New Power is the top pick and the one I've got in front. He won by 0.1L at Happy Valley 1200m last start, and he's got 4 wins from 21 at this track. His draw is wide, but he's a sit-and-sprint type who's comfortable in a crowd. Vigor Eye and King Oberon are the danger runners, both mapped on-pace, and King Oberon's sectional time is rank 3 in the race. Country Pride is the roughie who runs on late if the speed collapses.
Top 3 + Roughie ($15.00 pool)
1. New Power (No.3) — $10.00 / place tote
Bet $15.00 Each Way ($7.50W + $7.50P), collects $75.00 plus the tote place dividend if it wins, the tote place dividend if it only places
Prob 14.4% | Place: 34.6% | Value: 1.44x
Why Won by 0.1L at Happy Valley 1200m last start and his track record is 4 wins from 21, with fast sectionals in the last 600 and last 400.
2. Vigor Eye (No.6) — $2.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 14.1% | Place: 50.2% | Value: 0.28x
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. King Oberon (No.11) — $3.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 13.8% | Place: 47.1% | Value: 0.41x
Why Has been hampered and raced wide at Happy Valley lately, so the form is there, and he's a clean sectional runner at this trip.
Roughie: Country Pride (No.8) — $11.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 8.2% | Place: 28.9% | Value: 0.90x
Why He's been running around the back and placed three times at Happy Valley over 1200m lately. If the front-runners cook each other, he's the one to swoop from midfield.
Race 4 – Shantou Hcp
Race type: Class 4, 1000m
Map & tempo: Hot pace with four leaders in Georgian Sigma (barrier 3), Faithful Warrior (barrier 2), Looking Bright (barrier 6) and Classic Triple (barrier 10). Faithful Warrior is right on Georgian Sigma's hip for the front, and that fight will decide how the race is run. Super Sixty (barrier 12), Kansas (barrier 11), Classic Triple (barrier 10) and Happy United (barrier 9) are all drawn wide and have to work to cross. The shape is against Georgian Sigma on paper, but he's the one with the sprint form to hold the speed.
Punty read: Georgian Sigma is the each-way bet, and the reason is that he's a proven winner at Happy Valley over this trip. He ran first at Happy Valley 1000m (0.3L) in an earlier start and second last start, with 1 win and 2 seconds from 5 over this distance. Faithful Warrior is the danger, but he has only one start on record. Ruby Thrive and Superb King are the ones who sit handy, and Superb King has the time sectional to run past tiring leaders.
Top 3 + Roughie ($9.00 pool)
1. Georgian Sigma (No.2) — $3.00 / place tote
Bet $9.00 Each Way ($4.50W + $4.50P), collects $13.50 plus the tote place dividend if it wins, the tote place dividend if it only places
Prob 17.4% | Place: 38.0% | Value: 0.52x
Why Two seconds and a first from his last three runs at Happy Valley, and his trainer A S Cruz has him ready at a sharp price for a sprint like this.
2. Ruby Thrive (No.3) — $7.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 14.0% | Place: 32.3% | Value: 0.98x
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Superb King (No.5) — $8.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 13.5% | Place: 30.3% | Value: 1.08x
Why Has run second, third and fifth at Happy Valley 1000m lately, with the fastest time sectional in the race.
Roughie: Super Sixty (No.4) — $12.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 10.4% | Place: 26.6% | Value: 1.25x
Why Won at Happy Valley 1000m last start and is a proven runner over 1000m, but he's drawn 12 and has to come off the speed to get a run.
Race 5 – The Hong Kong College Of Emergency Medicine 30th Anniversary Cup
Race type: Class 4, 1200m
Map & tempo: Genuine pace with Top To Sky (barrier 12) the only horse mapped to lead, and he's drawn wide at the back of the gate. The pressure comes from World Hero (barrier 8), Winning Money (barrier 10) and Tin Fook (barrier 7). Winning Money has to work from barrier 10 to get into the race, and the handy runners get the trail. The backmarkers Dragon Four Seas and Brilliant Turn need the front to tire.
Punty read: Winning Money heads my list on the numbers, but he's a No Bet today, so he's one to watch rather than a bet. He's been the fastest on time sectionals and ran fourth at Happy Valley 1000m after being bumped, so the form is there if the trip comes right. World Hero is the danger, mapped on-pace and with a second at Happy Valley 1200m last start. Dragon Four Seas comes from the back and ran a second at Conghua Turf 1000m before his last start, so he's the one to watch if the leader tires.
Top 3 + Roughie ($15.00 pool)
1. Winning Money (No.4) — $10.00 / place tote
Bet $15.00 Each Way ($7.50W + $7.50P), collects $75.00 plus the tote place dividend if it wins, the tote place dividend if it only places
Prob 17.2% | Place: 42.6% | Value: 1.72x
Why Ran fourth at Happy Valley 1000m after being bumped and has the fastest time sectional on the card, so he's the one to watch if the trip works out.
2. World Hero (No.2) — $8.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 12.0% | Place: 42.1% | Value: 0.96x
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Dragon Four Seas (No.1) — $6.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 11.9% | Place: 35.8% | Value: 0.71x
Why Won at Conghua Turf 1000m before running fifth at Happy Valley 1200m, and he's a backmarker who can come late if the leader tires.
Roughie: Same To You (No.12) — $9.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 11.2% | Place: 37.1% | Value: 1.01x
Why Second at Happy Valley 1200m last start and placed three times from his last five. He's midfield from barrier 9, so he needs the front to fight and the rail to open.
Race 6 – Shenzhen Hcp
Race type: Class 4, 1800m
Map & tempo: Genuine pace with Good Good (barrier 6) the only leader, uncontested on the map. Absolute Honour (barrier 2) and I Excelle (barrier 9) are the nearest pressure. Casa Rochester (barrier 12), Sugar Goodson (barrier 11) and Kyrus Treasure (barrier 10) are all back-half runners who need cover, so the trip is going to be a test. Romantic Fantasy and Dashing Maurison are midfield and hurt most by the expected pace.
Punty read: Casa Rochester is the top rated runner, but he's a No Bet, so he's the one to watch. He's been held up, bumped and hampered, and his sectionals are rank 2 in the last 600 and last 400. The excuses are there, and if he gets a clean run from the back, the strong closing is what he's got. Kyrus Treasure has the fastest last-600 and last-400 sectionals in the race, and Family Fortune has the fastest time sectional, so both are real dangers on the day.
Top 3 + Roughie ($15.00 pool)
1. Casa Rochester (No.4) — $12.00 / place tote
Bet $15.00 Each Way ($7.50W + $7.50P), collects $90.00 plus the tote place dividend if it wins, the tote place dividend if it only places
Prob 15.1% | Place: 33.7% | Value: 1.81x
Why Held up and bumped in his last three starts, and his closing sectionals are rank 2 in the race, so he's the one to watch if the leader tires.
2. Kyrus Treasure (No.3) — $10.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 13.0% | Place: 31.0% | Value: 1.30x
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Family Fortune (No.9) — $8.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 12.7% | Place: 25.2% | Value: 1.02x
Why Has the fastest time sectional in the race and is a backmarker who can run on at a genuine pace.
Roughie: I Excelle (No.12) — $9.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 7.1% | Place: 18.8% | Value: 0.64x
Why First at Sha Tin 1800m last start, and he's the one who'll be on the leader's shoulder from barrier 9 if the pace is genuine.
Race 7 – The Kwangtung Handicap Cup
Race type: Class 2, 1200m
Map & tempo: Hot pace with four leaders: Victor The Winner (barrier 6), Rising Force (barrier 5), Turquoise Velocity (barrier 4) and Jumbo Treasure (barrier 10). Jumbo Treasure is drawn wide and has to work to get to the front. Victory Sky (barrier 9) and Sight Hermoso (barrier 8) are wide and back-half runners who need cover or luck. The shape is against the leaders at this pace, but they've got the class to fight through it.
Punty read: Jumbo Treasure is the top rated on my numbers, but he's a No Bet today, so the pick is to watch rather than to back. He won at Sha Tin 1200m on 6 September and ran fourth at Conghua Turf 1200m, and his time sectional is rank 2 in the race. Rising Force is the danger on the speed, with 4 wins from 13 starts and a strong record over this distance. Lucky With You is the one who sits just off the leaders and could pick up the pieces.
Top 3 + Roughie ($15.00 pool)
1. Jumbo Treasure (No.9) — $10.00 / place tote
Bet $15.00 Each Way ($7.50W + $7.50P), collects $75.00 plus the tote place dividend if it wins, the tote place dividend if it only places
Prob 15.3% | Place: 36.2% | Value: 1.53x
Why Won at Sha Tin 1200m on 6 September and has been running on well since, with the time rank 2 in the race. He's drawn wide, but the class is there.
2. Rising Force (No.3) — $5.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 15.0% | Place: 37.6% | Value: 0.75x
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Lucky With You (No.1) — $3.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 13.8% | Place: 29.7% | Value: 0.41x
Why Third at Conghua Turf 1000m last start and sits just off the speed, so he can pick up the pieces if the leaders go too hard.
Roughie: Victory Sky (No.8) — $9.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 2.8% | Place: 8.3% | Value: 0.25x
Why Won at Happy Valley 1000m before, and the four leaders could burn out. He sits handy from barrier 9, so if the front four fight each other, he could run through the tired ones late.
Race 8 – Zhaoqing Hcp
Race type: Class 3, 1000m
Map & tempo: Moderate pace on paper with two leaders, Lucy In The Sky (barrier 4) and Da Ai (barrier 10). Da Ai is drawn wide and has to work to get across, so Lucy In The Sky has the advantage of the rail. Jumbo Blessing settles midfield from barrier 2 and the shape helps him, while Red Elegance (barrier 12) is the back-half runner who needs cover. Candlelight Dinner and Lucky River are both drawn wide and will need luck.
Punty read: Jumbo Blessing is the bet, a win bet, and the reason is simple. He's won his last three starts at Happy Valley 1000m, the fastest on the card for both last-600 and last-400 sectionals, and he's got barrier 2 and a moderate pace that lets him settle in the perfect spot. Glowing Praises and Lucy In The Sky are the danger runners, and Glowing Praises has been bumped and hampered in recent starts, so he's a horse who might not be fully sharp yet. Eternal Fortune has the time sectional rank 2 and is the one to watch late.
Top 3 + Roughie ($9.00 pool)
1. Jumbo Blessing (No.8) — $2.00 / place tote
Bet $9.00 Win, return $18.00
Prob 20.5% | Place: 44.2% | Value: 0.41x
Why Three straight wins at Happy Valley 1000m, the fastest last-600 and last-400 sectionals and time on the card, and he's 6kg lighter than last start, which helps.
2. Glowing Praises (No.1) — $3.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 13.3% | Place: 32.1% | Value: 0.40x
Why A real chance — but at that price the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.
3. Lucy In The Sky (No.2) — $4.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 12.7% | Place: 25.7% | Value: 0.51x
Why Mapped to lead from barrier 4 and has run second and third at Sha Tin 1200m lately, so he's the one who sets the pace.
Roughie: Red Elegance (No.12) — $12.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 7.8% | Place: 20.7% | Value: 0.93x
Why Third at Conghua Turf 1000m last start and second at Happy Valley 1000m before that. He's drawn wide, but if the leaders get tired, he has the sectional speed to finish.
Race 9 – Zhuhai Hcp
Race type: Class 3, 1650m
Map & tempo: Genuine pace with Samarkand (barrier 11) the only leader, uncontested on the map. Prestige Good (barrier 9) is the nearest pressure, and Prestige Good is drawn wide and has to work. Turin Champions (barrier 10) and Win Method (barrier 12) are back-half runners who need cover. Family Jewel and Flying Fortress are backmarkers and hurt most by the expected pace.
Punty read: Turin Champions is the top pick on my numbers, but he's a No Bet, so he's one to watch rather than to back. He won at Happy Valley 1650m last start by 0.2L, and he's dropped 7kg from his last run, which is a good sign. He's drawn wide and has to find cover, but the form is strong. Prestige Good is the danger on the speed, with a third at Happy Valley 1650m last start, and Dazzling Fit is the one who's run well on the Happy Valley turf.
Top 3 + Roughie ($15.00 pool)
1. Turin Champions (No.9) — $10.00 / place tote
Bet $15.00 Each Way ($7.50W + $7.50P), collects $75.00 plus the tote place dividend if it wins, the tote place dividend if it only places
Prob 16.5% | Place: 30.9% | Value: 1.65x
Why Won at Happy Valley 1650m last start by 0.2L and is 7kg lighter than his last run, so the weight's in his favour.
2. Prestige Good (No.2) — $9.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 11.5% | Place: 28.5% | Value: 1.04x
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Dazzling Fit (No.1) — $5.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 11.2% | Place: 26.2% | Value: 0.56x
Why Has placed twice at Happy Valley 1650m and is midfield from barrier 5, so he's got a clean trip if the front fights.
Roughie: Win Method (No.12) — $12.00 / place tote
Bet Tracked
Prob 6.1% | Place: 17.4% | Value: 0.74x
Why Won at Conghua Turf 1200m last start, and he's a midfield runner from barrier 12 who can run home if the genuine pace fades.
Race 10 – Guangzhou Hcp
Race type: Class 3, 1200m
Map & tempo: Moderate pace with two leaders, Lucky Planet (barrier 11) and Packing King (barrier 3). Lucky Planet is drawn wide and needs to work, so Packing King has the better line to lead. Meowth settles midfield from barrier 2 and the shape helps him, while The Heir (barrier 12) and Danica's Choice (barrier 10) need cover from the back. Flowers Ember and Savvy Brilliant are on the speed and wide.
Punty read: Meowth is the win bet, and the reason is that he's midfield from the inside, the shape helps him, and his record over 1200m is solid. He ran seventh at Happy Valley 1200m last start after being wide and bumped, so the excuse is there. The Heir is the place bet, with 7 wins from 44 starts and a strong Happy Valley first-up record. Danica's Choice is the place bet too, with three wins from 11 at a good trip. Flowers Ember is the roughie, a first-start winner on tongue tie.
Top 3 + Roughie ($16.50 pool)
1. Meowth (No.8) — $2.00 / place tote

Why Midfield from barrier 2 with the shape working for him, and he's got 3 wins from 22 starts. The last start was a seventh at Happy Valley after being wide and bumped, so the form is still there.

Prob 10.3% | Place: 33.8% | Value: 1.03x

Bet Tracked
Prob 4.2% | Place: 16.1% | Value: 0.38x
Why A first-start winner with tongue tie on for the first time, and he's on the speed from barrier 9. If the leaders go too hard, he could be the one left in front.
NUGGETS FROM THE TRACK
1 - Jumbo Blessing's clean sweep
Three straight wins at Happy Valley 1000m, all with the fastest last-600 and last-400 sectionals on the card. The 6kg drop from his last start is the cherry on top.
2 - Blinkers on for the first time
Vigor Eye (R3) and Somelovefromabove (R3) both have blinkers on for the first time, and Flowers Ember has tongue tie on for the first time in R10. Watch the market on them.
3 - The four-leader sprint
Race 4 and Race 7 both have four leaders in them. If you want a fight, these are the two races where the front-runners will be going at each other, and the horse who sits back has the best chance of a surprise.
SEQUENCE LANES
QUADDIE (R7–R10)
Smart: 3,9,1,7 / 8,1,2,12 / 9,2,1,12 / 8,1,4,2 (256 combos x $0.3125 = $80.00) -- 31.2% flexi
Punty's take: Four open legs, so there's no banker to hang the ticket on and it's a wide play. The minimum flexi is 30%, and this sits at 31.2%, so it's a solid play, but a $5 to $10 winner in one of these legs is what makes it pay. Entertainment value is high, and I'd be honest that the chance of hitting it is low.
FINAL WORD FROM THE SICKO SANCTUARY
Ten races, four hot or genuine paces, and one roughie that might just make you famous at the pub. Keep the stakes honest, back your own read, and don't chase a bad run. Good luck, Degenerates, and I'll see you at the bar.
