Race 1 is a maiden plate and the pace is slow. When it's slow at 1200, the "best position, not best horse" punters usually cook it. I'm backing the ones who can hold a spot closer in, because a slow burner turns into a straight fight late, and those with momentum will be finishing strongest. Weird Goodbyes is the market's loudest for a reason, and I've got Whiskey Dry and Instigate sitting there like the two mates who always find the poker machine that pays.

Race 2 to 5 is where it gets delicious. Race 2 and 3 have genuine pace setups, so you want horses that either lead or sit right on the leader's back, not the ones stuck wide doing extra work for no payout. Then Race 4 at 1000 is a handicap sprint where the inside lane advantage matters, and the best "turn of foot" style will decide it. Race 5 at 1500 is the grinder, and I'm leaning into runners that can keep building late rather than pop once and die.

Dance Wizzard looks like he's there to lead or sit handy, and Hollerloud is the "square" danger if the race turns into a sprint for places.

Cliodhna Maeve is the obvious danger with the midfield ability to come over the top, and Up To Us can grab a spot if the tempo stays honest. Buz Fuz and Sandy Grip are the ones that can fill the minors if the front runners get tangled.
