It's a five-race card, so we're keeping it tight, keeping it rude, and building around the three most likely winners first, then letting the Quaddie lanes do the chaos math.

Punty's take:

Race 1 is a maiden sprint where everyone looks capable of being "the next one", but the pace is labelled slow. That means the winner's probably the one who can keep a rhythm and not get shuffled. Any News (No.1) is the kind of horse that should get the right trip, and Perfect Fawaz (No.4) looks like the danger that's been close enough without doing the full job yet. I'm not chasing Thunder Blaze (No.3) or Evita Lass (No.6) unless the run falls apart, because maiden races punish sloppy tactics.

Race 2 is the one where the tempo actually matters. With Charm Teller (No.7) and Third Master (No.1) forward types, the race shape is basically "who's still got something at the line?". I like Third Master for the place side, and Charm Teller is the sort of horse that can make a mockery of a slow burn if they go away clean early.

Race 3 turns into a classic 1123m mess. New Hampshire (No.7) is value on top, Yes Dream (No.4) is live because it's been doing the work, and Bellzen (No.1) is the grinder who might slot in and sneak a finish off position.

What it means for you:

Here's the plan in plain punter terms. You've got three big "pinch me" opportunities across the card, so I'm not stuffing around with a heap of different first legs. We're playing Race 1 to get things rolling with a forward-minded favourite type, then we press the place angle in Race 2 because the likely finish is crowded near the line.

For the quaddie lanes, we're not building a shopping trolley. We're picking lanes that match the likely race shapes. Sprint races on Good 4 usually reward horses that can hold their spot early, and those that can keep trucking late. That's why the later legs in particular lean into the on-pace and the "sits close, runs on" profiles, instead of backing chaos backmarkers at bigger prices unless they're on a real map.

Map & tempo: Slow Pace, so the "sit close and keep running" job matters a heap
Punty read: Any News (No.1) is the sort of maiden that keeps showing up, and this gear setup again says they want that near-side touch of comfort and a controlled start. Perfect Fawaz (No.4) is the one I worry about because it's already done the close-up stuff, and blinkers can sharpen the focus in a short sprint. Louis Auguste (No.2) is a big price for a reason, first-up quirks and slow-start excuses, but if the race stays slow he might get a lane. Thunder Blaze (No.3) and Evita Lass (No.6) need chaos, because they're basically out-sprinting their odds.

Punty read: This is a race where you either get rolling early or you lose your chance. Charm Teller (No.7) is drawn to attack, and Sweet Candy (No.8) and Grey Power (No.9) are the sort that can keep the field honest. The danger is people thinking it's a two-horse race and then getting caught mid-pack. Third Master (No.1) is my place lever because in a genuine tempo, the ones who can stalk without burning too much usually pick up the cash late.

Bellzen (No.1) is a grinder threat, and when the tempo is slow, grinders can sneak into the spot everyone overlooks. Vincenzo (No.3) is basically a bullseye only if everything breaks perfectly, because $4.13 is asking for a miracle with paperwork.

Laser Beam (No.4) is a live marker because barrier 1 is a gift if the pace doesn't go nuclear, but he's the type that can get stuck if traffic gets messy.
