Punty's Early Mail
For all of Punty's tips for Morphettville, head to https://punty.ai/tips/morphettville-2026-11-03
Rightio Legends, Morphettville on a Good 4 with the rail out 6m on the 1200m and 3m on the rest, a ten-race card that will test your patience and your bank account in equal measure. There's a Hot Pace fight in the first, a couple of uncontested leaders who can steal races, and a Big 6 so wide it needs its own postcode. Grab a coffee, sit down, and let's get into it.
MEET SNAPSHOT
Track: Morphettville, 1050m to 2500m card
Rail: +6m 1200m-W/P, +3m Remainder
Official going: Good 4 (Nil last 24hrs, 9mm last 7 days)
Weather: Overcast, live gusts 31.5km/h
Early lane guess: unknown pre-race, watch the first two
Tempo profile: Race 1 is a Hot Pace fight for the front, Races 3, 7, 8 and 10 each have one genuine leader, Races 2, 4, 5, 6 and 9 are Moderate or Slow and will be run to suit the ones coming from off the pace.
Jockeys to follow:
Todd Pannell: 9 rides today, and his mount Palace Lore is the one in Race 2 the market has been hammering, with Pannell's own riding record at this track sitting at 13.8% (946/6858).
Connor Murtagh: 7 rides, including the Race 1 favourite Street Legal, and his combo with Sarah Rutten on Street Legal has 14.3% (14/98) at this track.
Brooke King: 6 rides, including Big Rita June in Race 10 and Light Brigade in Race 1, with a track strike rate of 9.5% (117/1226) that is no joke on a card like this.
Stables to respect:
Michael Hickmott (6 runners): Cold Copy, Wind Rush, Exalted Fire, Darci Lane, Age Of Kings and Hell's On Fire, so he's a hand in six different races and that's a serious spread.
Sarah Rutten (6 runners): Street Legal and Artison are my top two in Races 1 and 2, and Asternal Love, Willebob, Eventually and Stirrup Cup fill out the rest of the team.
Garret Lynch (5 runners): Sandastan is the one that matters in Race 6, with Our Beau, Williamsburg, Belle From Hell and Lumber Dream sprinkled through the back half of the card.
Punter's take: Race 1 is where the card starts to bite. Three horses want the front, Chix Diggus from barrier 1, Scooped from barrier 2 and Light Brigade from barrier 7, and Light Brigade has to work across the field to get there. That fight should set up a sit for the ones who aren't in it, and Street Legal is the one I expect to be sitting just off that scrap. Race 2 and Race 4 look like the strongest chances to keep the card tidy, with the favourites carrying strong records at this track and distance. Race 3 is a Genuine Pace race with one leader in Shogun Chikara, which gives him an easy run out front unless somebody else gets interested. Race 7, Race 8 and Race 10 each have one leader, Placo, Mercury Eight and Easy Beast, and that means the speed is mapped but the question is whether anyone beats them to the lead.
Race 9 is the one I'd call chaos, a 1600m Restricted 56 with a Slow Pace on paper, a field of eleven starters, and a Casino Showgirl that's been given a clear shape edge from barrier 10. Race 10 is the biggest headache, a 13-runner open 1800m with a Genuine Pace and plenty of runners who could back up into the trail. The sectionals and the market are both pointing at the chaos side of the card, so I'm not going to fall in love with every short price I see.
What it means for you: Be aggressive where the favourite has the shape, and protect yourself where the card gets wide. My top bet of the day is Street Legal in Race 1 and I've backed it win only, because the shape is against him but the sectionals are not. Race 3 and Race 4 are the bankers to build from, Shogun Chikara and Flying Brant, and you'll see them in the Big 3 below. The value is spread around the mid-prices, so I've put Artison's each way in Race 2 and Attain's each way in Race 5 where I think the place price is worth more than the win.
Treat Races 7 to 10 as the chaos block. If you're playing the sequences, keep the tickets sized to the number of open legs, not to your confidence, because a quaddie that needs four open races to land is a lottery ticket with better manners.
PUNTY'S BIG 3 + MULTI
These are the three bets the day leans on.
1 - Street Legal (Race 1, No.7) — $2.00
Why Shape is against him from a handy spot in a Hot Pace race, but he's the quickest in the sectionals on his last run and has been running into the placings all his career at this track, so I'll take the risk on the win.
2 - Shogun Chikara (Race 3, No.5) — $2.18
Why He's the only genuine leader in a Genuine Pace race, he's been second and first in his last two runs, and nobody else in the field is likely to take the front from him.
3 - Flying Brant (Race 4, No.1) — $2.84
Why Slow Pace race where he settles handy, his last-start run was bumped and hampered, and his jockey Noel Callow has been a strong ride on him in the past at this track.
Multi (all three to win): $10 × 12.38 = $123.80
Race 1 – Canadian Club Mdn Plate
Race type: Maiden, 1050m
Map & tempo: Hot Pace, and this is a genuine tug of war. Chix Diggus from barrier 1, Scooped from barrier 2 and Light Brigade from barrier 7 all want the lead, and Light Brigade is drawn wide and has to fight across to get there. That leaves Street Legal from barrier 4 sitting just off the speed battle, which is the spot you want when the pace is this hot. The shape is against him on the map, but the fight could end up making him look better than the others.
Punter's read: Street Legal is the bet, and it's a win-only ticket for $15.00. He's the fastest closer in the field on sectionals, he's 3rd/10 in his last start at Morphettville Parks, and his track record at this track reads 2 starts with 2 seconds. The map is a concern and I won't pretend otherwise, but Chix Diggus and Scooped are going to fight each other into the ground. The danger is Chix Diggus, a leader who can get into the race on the inside if the fight doesn't break his way.
Top 3 + Roughie ($15.00 pool)
1. Street Legal (No.7) — $2.05 / $1.04
Bet $15.00 Win, return $30.75
Prob 42.7% | Place: 70.0% | Value: 0.88x Steady since tip
Why He's the sectional standout in the race and has been running into the placings consistently. The shape is against him, but I'd rather bet on a horse that can finish fast than one that has to lead against a Hot Pace.
2. Chix Diggus (No.8) — $2.00 / $1.04
Bet Tracked
Prob 28.0% | Place: 70.0% | Value: 0.56x Steady since tip
Why A real chance — but at $1.04 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.
3. Scooped (No.5) — $6.50 / $1.55
Bet Tracked
Prob 14.8% | Place: 59.7% | Value: 0.96x Steady since tip
Why He's been unlucky in his last-start excuses, including interference at Morphettville Parks, and the blinkers come off today. He's a genuine leader though and he'll have to deal with the Hot Pace.
Roughie: Light Brigade (No.2) — $14.00 / $2.40
Bet Tracked
Prob 4.2% | Place: 32.7% | Value: 0.59x Steady since tip
Why If the speed battle burns out, the wide-drawn leader can sit back and sneak through the middle. He's been running on in his recent starts and his trainer Dion and Raygan Koch have a decent record here.
Race 2 – Sportsbet Same Race Multi Mdn Plate
Race type: Maiden, 1050m
Map & tempo: Moderate Pace, and nobody on the map is clearly going to lead. Bewitching Missy from barrier 12 has to work hard to cross, Madam Moneybags from barrier 3 and Mystrix from barrier 2 are the likeliest to find the front. Artison from barrier 1 sits midfield and the shape is against him on paper, but he's got the inside run to slot in behind the speed.
Punter's read: Artison is the bet, and it's an each way for $15.00 total. He's the one I'd back in a race where the early speed is a bit untidy. The record reads 14.2% at Morphettville for jockey Kayla Crowther, and the last start was a 3rd at Gawler with a sectional that puts him in the top three. Arizona Dreamer and Palace Lore are the next two, and the danger is Madam Moneybags who has the early speed and the market love.
Top 3 + Roughie ($15.00 pool)
1. Artison (No.8) — $3.50 / $1.55
Bet $15.00 Each Way ($7.50W + $7.50P), collects $37.88 if it wins ($26.25 win + $11.63 place), $11.63 if it only places
Prob 30.4% | Place: 70.0% | Value: 1.06x Steady since tip
Why He's got the inside barrier and the best sectional profile in the middle of the field, and I want the place cover in case the speed takes the race apart.
2. Arizona Dreamer (No.7) — $3.50 / $1.57
Bet Tracked
Prob 19.7% | Place: 53.5% | Value: 0.69x Steady since tip
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Palace Lore (No.12) — $3.20 / $1.52
Bet Tracked
Prob 16.5% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.53x Steady since tip
Why The market has come in from $9.00 to $3.20 and I can't see the reason in the form, so I'm watching the market closely. He's a danger, but I'm not putting money on him when my top pick already covers the place.
Roughie: Madam Moneybags (No.3) — $9.00 / $2.70
Bet Tracked
Prob 7.7% | Place: 32.7% | Value: 0.69x Steady since tip
Why She's a genuine early-speed horse who could take the lead if nobody else wants it. If the field lets her go, she's dangerous at the bigger price.
Race 3 – Sportsbet Fast Form Mdn Plate
Race type: Maiden, 1600m
Map & tempo: Genuine Pace, with Shogun Chikara from barrier 3 the only real leader and Fullheadofsteam from barrier 6 the nearest pressure. The back half of the field, including Fairline from barrier 11, will need a lot of luck to get into the race. This is a race where the leader can dictate the tempo and the shape is against him on paper, but I don't think anyone else really wants the lead.
Punter's read: Shogun Chikara is the bet, and it's a win-only ticket for $13.00. He's the only genuine leader in a Genuine Pace race, he's won his last Morphettville Parks start by 0.4L, and his last-start run was a 2nd at Gawler over 1516m. The shape is against him, but if he gets the front unopposed, the others will have to run past him. The danger is Empress Of Kirk, who is backmarker and can run on from the back if the pace is genuine.
Top 3 + Roughie ($13.00 pool)
1. Shogun Chikara (No.5) — $2.18 / $1.17
Bet $13.00 Win, return $28.34
Prob 37.9% | Place: 70.0% | Value: 0.83x Steady since tip
Why He's the lone leader, and in a Genuine Pace race a lone leader is the one who gets to set the terms. Jackson Murphy has a clear run on him from barrier 3.
2. Empress Of Kirk (No.11) — $3.90 / $1.62
Bet Tracked
Prob 19.9% | Place: 54.4% | Value: 0.78x Steady since tip
Why A real chance — but at $1.62 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.
3. Pretty Morsel (No.10) — $7.00 / $2.05
Bet Tracked
Prob 13.7% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.96x Steady since tip
Why She's been running well with a 4th at Halidon and a 6th at Murray Bridge GH, both with interference excuses. She's a real chance if the front runners tire.
Roughie: Willebob (No.7) — $12.00 / $2.75
Bet Tracked
Prob 5.8% | Place: 24.4% | Value: 0.70x Steady since tip
Why Visors go on for the first time, which can sharpen a horse that has been drifting in and out of the finish. If the leader tires, he can come from midfield to snatch a place.
Race 4 – Thomas Farms Hcp (C2)
Race type: Class 2, 1600m
Map & tempo: Slow Pace, and Flying Brant from barrier 4 is the likeliest to find the front. Brave Fortune from barrier 7 and Our Beau from barrier 6 are both drawn wide and will need cover to get into it. The shape is against the pick on the map, but the race looks set to suit a runner who can settle in midfield and finish, and Flying Brant has the form to win from the front.
Punter's read: Flying Brant is the bet, a win-only ticket for $12.00. He's a 30.4% win chance and is only just being overshadowed by the favourite on the card. He's been bumped and hampered in his last start, the trip is his best with a 2nd and a 1st on the record, and his jockey Noel Callow rode him to the front earlier in the year. Wind Rush and Boolcunda Dawn are next, and the danger is Wind Rush whose last-start sectionals were the fastest in the race.
Top 3 + Roughie ($12.00 pool)
1. Flying Brant (No.1) — $2.84 / $1.57
Bet $12.00 Win, return $34.08
Prob 30.4% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.86x Steady since tip
Why He's the one I want in front in a Slow Pace race, he's been bumped and hampered last start and he's still got a strong record on good ground.
2. Wind Rush (No.6) — $3.70 / $1.82
Bet Tracked
Prob 18.7% | Place: 38.9% | Value: 0.69x Steady since tip
Why Only two places paid in a field this size, and skinny place divvies make savers a mug's game — this is a win-only race. Tracked, not staked.
3. Boolcunda Dawn (No.7) — $5.20 / $2.35
Bet Tracked
Prob 16.4% | Place: 38.8% | Value: 0.85x Steady since tip
Why He's a backmarker who's dropped 2kg from last start, which is a change to note. He's got the closing sectionals to hit the board.
Roughie: Brave Fortune (No.4) — $12.00 / $4.00
Bet Tracked
Prob 7.0% | Place: 22.3% | Value: 0.84x Steady since tip
Why If the leader gets rolled, he's one of the few drawn wide who can stay in the race long enough to get a run at the finish.
Race 5 – San Remo Hcp (56)
Race type: Restricted 56, 1200m
Map & tempo: Moderate Pace, and Koratora from barrier 6, Tis No Man from barrier 2 and Star Decorum from barrier 1 are the likeliest to fight for the front. All three are on the map as handy runners, and the shape is against them on paper. Attain from barrier 4 sits midfield, and the shape helps him to run down the leaders.
Punter's read: Attain is the bet, an each way for $10.50 total. He's the one who gets the shape on this map and he's been placed in his last three starts, which is exactly what I want at this price. Koratora is the second pick and the danger, and the closer is Stylish Sparkle who has a tongue tie and blinkers on again.
Top 3 + Roughie ($10.50 pool)
1. Attain (No.2) — $3.90 / $1.57
Bet $10.50 Each Way ($5.25W + $5.25P), collects $28.72 if it wins ($20.48 win + $8.24 place), $8.24 if it only places
Prob 25.8% | Place: 61.5% | Value: 1.01x Steady since tip
Why He's the midfield runner the shape favours, with a strong record over this distance at 23 starts and 3 wins. The warning on weight is a bit of a worry, but the place price is worth the money.
2. Koratora (No.4) — $3.60 / $1.52
Bet Tracked
Prob 23.3% | Place: 60.5% | Value: 0.84x Steady since tip
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Leliyn (No.3) — $6.40 / $1.80
Bet Tracked
Prob 12.0% | Place: 38.9% | Value: 0.77x Steady since tip
Why He's had a difficult run of late with the 9th at Morphettville last start, but he's dropped the cross-over nose band and the shape should suit him better.
Roughie: Enlist (No.8) — $11.00 / $2.90
Bet Tracked
Prob 8.7% | Place: 34.1% | Value: 0.96x Steady since tip
Why He's a midfield runner who has won 8 times in 76 starts, and his interference last start is the excuse I'd be looking at if he runs on.
Race 6 – Rexco People (Bm56)
Race type: Benchmark 56, 2500m
Map & tempo: Slow Pace, and Octahedron from barrier 4 is the only likely front runner. Most of the field is mapped as backmarkers, so the race will be run from the back. Sandastan from barrier 6 is one of the backmarkers the shape helps, and he has the stamina to make it count over the trip.
Punter's read: Sandastan is the bet, a win-only ticket for $10.50. He won his last start at Strathalbyn over 2050m and has the speed at the finish that the shape rewards. His Distance record reads 5 starts with 2 wins, and his jockey Connor Murtagh has done well with him. The danger is Girls Girls Girls, who has won at Gawler over 2121m last start and is a backmarker in a Slow Pace race.
Top 3 + Roughie ($10.50 pool)
1. Sandastan (No.1) — $4.00 / $1.65
Bet $10.50 Win, return $42.00
Prob 23.8% | Place: 54.9% | Value: 0.95x Steady since tip
Why He's the one who wins the last 400m in a Slow Pace race, and his last start at Strathalbyn was a win over the same trip type.
2. Girls Girls Girls (No.6) — $3.80 / $1.60
Bet Tracked
Prob 14.2% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.54x Steady since tip
Why A real chance — but at $1.60 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.
3. Harley'n'rose (No.3) — $8.00 / $2.35
Bet Tracked
Prob 11.5% | Place: 32.7% | Value: 0.92x Steady since tip
Why He's had 9kg up from last start and his last-start run at Morphettville was interference, so the form could be stronger than the price.
Roughie: Tee Eight (No.9) — $10.00 / $2.90
Bet Tracked
Prob 10.0% | Place: 34.1% | Value: 1.00x Steady since tip
Why He's the backmarker who could come from the back of a Slow Pace field if the front runners are tiring. His last start was a 5th at Gawler over the same trip, with bumping as the excuse.
Race 7 – Sportsbet John Letts Cup
Race type: Open, 1800m
Map & tempo: Genuine Pace, and Placo from barrier 2 is the only leader. Air Assault from barrier 5 is handy and the shape helps him, while Sir Kingsford from barrier 1 is also handy and has been a runner who can settle behind the speed. Williamsburg from barrier 11 has to work to cross, which means the outside runners will need luck.
Punter's read: Air Assault is the bet, a win-only ticket for $4.50. He has a track record of 7 wins from 22 starts at Morphettville, and his shape is favoured here. He's also got a strong combo with his jockey at this track. The danger is Placo, who won his last start at Morphettville over 2000m and has the speed to lead.
Top 3 + Roughie ($4.50 pool)
1. Air Assault (No.1) — $4.00 / $1.75
Bet $4.50 Win, return $18.00
Prob 16.9% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.68x Steady since tip
Why He's a Morphettville specialist with 7 track wins, and the shape favours him sitting handy behind the speed.
2. Placo (No.7) — $5.50 / $2.15
Bet Tracked
Prob 15.6% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.86x Steady since tip
Why A real chance — but at $2.15 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.
3. Sir Kingsford (No.2) — $7.50 / $2.65
Bet Tracked
Prob 12.9% | Place: 38.8% | Value: 0.97x Steady since tip
Why He's had three runs including a 2nd at Murray Bridge GH over 1600m, and he can settle handy behind the leader.
Roughie: Williamsburg (No.5) — $11.00 / $3.30
Bet Tracked
Prob 5.8% | Place: 24.1% | Value: 0.63x Steady since tip
Why He's drawn wide at barrier 11 and he has to work to get into the race, but the shape gives him a chance if the leader is run down.
Race 8 – Peter Elberg Funerals (Bm56)
Race type: Benchmark 56, 1050m
Map & tempo: Genuine Pace, and Mercury Eight from barrier 7 is the only leader. Bonfire Girl from barrier 2 and The Magistrate from barrier 6 are the nearest pressure, and they're both drawn in and can get the run to challenge. The shape is against Mercury Eight on the map, but he's the only one who can lead.
Punter's read: Mercury Eight is the bet, a win-only ticket for $7.00. He's a genuine leader who won his last start at Balaklava over 1050m, and his track record over sprints reads 10 starts with 4 wins. The danger is Heaven Rocks, who is midfield and has been placed over the trip. The Magistrate is the roughie to watch.
Top 3 + Roughie ($7.00 pool)
1. Mercury Eight (No.1) — $3.60 / $1.60
Bet $7.00 Win, return $25.20
Prob 19.5% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.70x Steady since tip
Why He's the lone leader on the card's sprint and he's won his last start, which makes the front-running shape worth backing.
2. Heaven Rocks (No.4) — $4.20 / $1.70
Bet Tracked
Prob 19.0% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.80x Steady since tip
Why A real chance — but at $1.70 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.
3. Musical Sunset (No.7) — $6.50 / $2.25
Bet Tracked
Prob 13.2% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.86x Steady since tip
Why He won at Balaklava over 1050m and he's a handy runner who can get the trail behind the leader.
Roughie: The Magistrate (No.8) — $9.50 / $2.75
Bet Tracked
Prob 7.7% | Place: 28.0% | Value: 0.73x Steady since tip
Why He's a handy runner with a good record at the trip and his bumping last start is an excuse I'd take on board.
Race 9 – Aceit Transport Solutions Hcp (56)
Race type: Restricted 56, 1600m
Map & tempo: Slow Pace, and The Better Husband from barrier 7 and Hell's On Fire from barrier 9 are the likeliest to find the front. Casino Showgirl from barrier 10 sits midfield and the shape helps her, because the front runners are not built to run the race out. Hell's On Fire has to cross from barrier 9 and that could cost him ground.
Punter's read: Casino Showgirl is the bet, an each way for $8.50 total. She's a midfield runner who the shape helps, she ran 2nd at Penola over 1300m last start, and her jockey Connor Murtagh is one of the better riders on the card. The danger is Hell's On Fire who has had a difficult run of late but is a real chance in a Slow Pace race.
Top 3 + Roughie ($8.50 pool)
1. Casino Showgirl (No.7) — $4.60 / $1.90
Bet $8.50 Each Way ($4.25W + $4.25P), collects $27.63 if it wins ($19.55 win + $8.08 place), $8.08 if it only places
Prob 18.5% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.85x Steady since tip
Why She's the one the shape favours from a midfield spot, and she's been running on at the finish with a 2nd last start.

3. Hell's On Fire (No.5) — $7.00 / $2.25
Bet Tracked
Prob 15.5% | Place: 38.8% | Value: 1.08x Steady since tip
Why He's had a tough run but the shape suits a handy runner in a Slow Pace race, and he's 6kg up from last start.
Roughie: The Better Husband (No.1) — $12.00 / $3.30
Bet Tracked
Prob 5.9% | Place: 24.1% | Value: 0.71x Steady since tip
Why He's the one most likely to lead if the speed is contested, and standard bit goes on for the first time.
Race 10 – Kirin Ichiban (Rs0ly)
Race type: Rst 0 Met Win-LY, 1800m
Map & tempo: Genuine Pace, and Easy Beast from barrier 12 is the only leader. Capulet from barrier 13 is the nearest pressure and is also drawn wide, so they'll have to work hard to get the front. Big Rita June from barrier 7 sits midfield, and the shape helps her to get into the race from behind.
Punter's read: Big Rita June is the bet, a win-only ticket for $5.00. She's a midfield runner the shape helps and her last start was a 2nd at Strathalbyn over 1600m. The warning is that her weight record reads 0/2 at 59kg. The danger is Taupo Tiger from barrier 9, a midfield runner who was 2nd at Morphettville over 1600m last start.
Top 3 + Roughie ($5.00 pool)
1. Big Rita June (No.7) — $5.50 / $2.00
Bet $5.00 Win, return $27.50
Prob 16.6% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.91x Steady since tip
Why She's a midfield runner the shape helps and she's been running into the placings with a 2nd last start.
2. Taupo Tiger (No.3) — $5.00 / $2.00
Bet Tracked
Prob 13.8% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.69x Steady since tip
Why A real chance — but at $2.00 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.
3. Yorokobi (No.5) — $6.00 / $2.15
Bet Tracked
Prob 12.6% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.76x Steady since tip
Why He's had a 3rd and a 2nd in his last two runs at Strathalbyn and Balaklava, so he's the one who'll run on from the back of the handy pack.
Roughie: Lumber Dream (No.10) — $14.00 / $3.80
Bet Tracked
Prob 4.7% | Place: 22.3% | Value: 0.66x Steady since tip
Why He's a backmarker who has been wide in his last runs, and if the leader gets run down in a Genuine Pace race he has a path to the finish.

Smart: 5,11 / 1,6,7 / 2,4 / 1,6,9,3 (48 combos x $0.4167 = $20.00) -- 41.7% flexi
Punter's take: Race 3 and Race 4 are the tight legs with the favourites, and Race 5 and Race 6 are the open ones. The flexi floor on this ticket is 30%, and at 37% it's a solid play for a sequence that needs a steady run.
QUADDIE (R7–R10)
Smart: 7,1,2 / 4,7,1,8 / 7,3,5 / 5,7,3 (108 combos x $0.3704 = $40.00) -- 37% flexi
Punter's take: Race 8 is the tight leg with Mercury Eight and Heaven Rocks, and the other three are wide open. The flexi is 31.2%, just above the 30% floor, so this one is a payout ticket rather than a sure thing.
BIG 6 (R5–R10)
Smart: 2,4,3,8 / 1,6,9,3 / 7,1,2,5 / 4,7,1,8 / 7,3,5,1 / 5,7,3,2 (4096 combos x $0.00122 = $5.00) -- 0.12% flexi
Punter's take: Six legs and every one of them is open enough to ruin the ticket, so this is an entertainment-only play. The flexi is 0.12% against a 0.10% floor, which is the minimum for a Big 6, so treat it as a lottery ticket with a $5.00 price tag.
NUGGETS FROM THE TRACK
1 - Blinkers on first time at the back of 117 days
Chix Diggus has blinkers on for the first time and has been 117 days off, so the gear change and the spell are both worth watching in the Race 1 speed battle.
2 - Palace Lore's market move with no reason in the form
Palace Lore has come in from $9.00 to $3.20 in Race 2 with a HEAVY market tag, and I can't see the reason in the form, so I'm watching the price rather than falling in love with the story.
3 - Six gear changes for Avanzo
Avanzo has six gear changes in Race 8, including bandages, bar plates and winkers off, which is more gear than most people put on before a night out, and he's drifted from $101.00 to $126.00 in the process.
FINAL WORD FROM THE SICKO SANCTUARY
Bet small, watch the first two in the first race, and remember that the best tip on the card is the one you can afford to lose. Cheers to the Legends who read the whole mail, and I'll see you at the rail.
