Rightio Legends, Randwick on a Good 4 with a fine day, nil rainfall and ten races where the speed decides who eats and who gets eaten. Two hot-pace races, a couple of genuine-pace sprints and a card full of benchmark horses who've been waiting for a bit of luck, so let's get into it.

MEET SNAPSHOT

Track: Randwick, 1000m to 1800m card
Rail: +2m Entire
Official going: Good 4 (Rainfall: Nil)
Weather: Fine, gusts 24.1km/h
Early lane guess: unknown pre-race, watch the first two
Tempo profile: Slow in R1, Hot in R2, R5 and R6, Genuine in R3 and R8, Moderate in R4, R7, R9 and R10.
Jockeys to follow:
Nash Rawiller: 10 rides today and five of our staked picks (R3, R5, R7, R9 and R10). Gringotts, Estadio Mestalla and Enamorada are all his, so he's the man to watch.
Chad Schofield: 9 rides, including Formal Display in R5 and Accredited in R8, two horses who sit where the shape should help them.
Braith Nock: 8 rides, headlined by Wanaruah in R8, who leads uncontested from barrier 2 and has a J@trk strike rate of 13.5% (325/2401).
Stables to respect:
Annabel & Rob Archibald (10 runners): the biggest yard on the card, with Formal Display and Hellsing in R5 and Hellenic Belle in R3.
Joseph Pride (7 runners): Estadio Mestalla (R7), Kerguelen (R8) and Bruce I Am (R9), with the Pride team firing across three different races.
C Maher (6 runners): Gringotts (R5), Benevac (R9) and Enamorada (R10), three of our staked picks.

Punty's take: This is a card with two clear personalities. The first is the pace map. Race 1 is a slow-pace affair where nobody is mapped to lead, so the race will be decided by who settles where, and Cabbucio sitting midfield from barrier 2 is the one the shape really suits. Race 2 and Race 5 are hot-pace fights with five and three runners mapped to lead, and both races set up for the horses that can sit handy and pounce. Race 6 is the same story with four to the front, which is why I've got the horses that come from midfield and back in that one. The genuine-pace races, Race 3 and Race 8, are different beasts. Race 8 has Wanaruah as the only leader with nobody pushing him, and if that holds he's going to be very hard to pass.

The banker races are Race 8 and Race 10, where Wanaruah and Enamorada are the shortest-priced horses with the best records on the card. The chaos races are Race 2, Race 5, Race 6 and Race 7, where I'd expect the field to be ripped apart by the pace and the draw. Race 9 is a moderate-pace sprint where the draw matters, and barrier 10 and 12 are going to get a bit of work.

Come on, you can feel the card wanting you to get greedy. Don't. Pick your spots.

What it means for you: Be aggressive in Race 8 and Race 10, where the form and the shape both point the same way. Keep the stakes tidy in the chaos races and let the sequences do the heavy lifting rather than piling into every race. The Race 5 place bet on Fully Lit is the protection play, because a hot pace with a barrier 18 draw is the kind of set-up where the place is the smarter shot.

The value sits with Cabbucio in Race 1, where the market has him as a $3.80 chance and the shape is helping him. In the sprints, Benevac each way in Race 9 gives you two ways to collect if the wide draw doesn't kill his run.

Don't chase the roughies at long prices. Use them as sequence spice and nothing more.

PUNTY'S BIG 3 + MULTI

These are the three bets the day leans on.

1 - Enamorada (Race 10, No.8) — $2.30
Why Shortest price on the card but the most likely winner on my numbers, and she's been running the right way with Nash Rawiller in the saddle.
2 - Wanaruah (Race 8, No.2) — $3.50
Why Leads uncontested from barrier 2 in a genuine pace, has won his last three starts, and the tongue tie is back on.
3 - Cabbucio (Race 1, No.10) — $3.80
Why Sits midfield from barrier 2 in a slow race where the shape helps him, and he ran 3rd at Randwick 1800m at a 0.3L margin earlier this spell.

Multi (all three to win): $10 × 30.59 = $305.90

Race 1 – Midway

Race type: Benchmark 72, 1800m
Map & tempo: Slow pace on paper, and nobody is mapped to lead, so the likeliest to take the front are Vetwelve from barrier 1 and Darn Cute from barrier 11. Darn Cute has to work to cross from that wide gate. Cabbucio sits midfield from barrier 2 and the shape helps him, while Saint Emilion and He's Got Grunt are the ones hurt by the expected pace. This suits the horses that can settle and finish, not the ones that need to be on the bit early.
Punty read: Cabbucio is the bet and it's a clean one. He's won 2 from 7 and placed in 4, has a 27.7% win chance on my numbers against a price of $3.80, and the 3rd at Randwick 1800m is the run to remember at this trip. Jockey Coriah Keatings and trainer Joseph Ible won't win you a Cup, but the spot is right. The one I'd watch is Agita, a backmarker from barrier 10 who ran 2nd at Newcastle 1900m last start, but he's not a bet at $10.00. Saint Emilion has blinkers on again and a weight warning of 0/3 winning at 60-62kg, so I'd leave him alone.

Top 3 + Roughie ($10.50 pool)

1. Cabbucio (No.10) — $3.80 / $1.65
Bet $10.50 Win, return $39.90
Prob 27.7% | Place: 60.9% | Value: 1.05x Steady since tip
Why Midfield from barrier 2 in a slow race, with the shape helping him. Only seven starts, but two wins and two seconds with a 3rd at Randwick 1800m in the same spell. The place price is tight but the win is where the value is.
2. Agita (No.5) — $10.00 / $2.90
Bet Tracked
Prob 9.9% | Place: 32.7% | Value: 0.99x Steady since tip
Why A real chance — but at $2.90 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.
3. Saint Emilion (No.7) — $12.00 / $3.40
Bet Tracked
Prob 8.7% | Place: 32.7% | Value: 1.04x Steady since tip
Why The shape is against him, blinkers are on again and winkers are off for the first time. He's had a bit of trouble at the weight in the form.

Roughie: Vetwelve (No.8) — $11.00 / $2.85
Bet Tracked
Prob 8.9% | Place: 32.7% | Value: 0.98x Steady since tip
Why Sits handy from barrier 1, and the gear changes are the story with blinkers off again and winkers on for the first time. If the speed isn't on and Vetwelve can get the trail, he has a shot at the placings.

Race 2 – TAB Highway Hcp

Race type: Class 3, 1000m
Map & tempo: Hot pace, with five horses mapped to lead: Bombay Boom, Triple Yes, Irish Jig, What A Scandal and Flirtation. What A Scandal from barrier 1 has the inside and the easiest path to the front, and the shape helps the leaders (1.18). Bombay Boom and Triple Yes are drawn wide at 14 and 15 and have to work to cross, which kills their chances here. Puffin sits handy and gets the trail behind a fast pace, and that's the one to think about.
Punty read: What A Scandal is the bet, a leader from barrier 1 in a hot sprint where the shape helps him. He's 2-1-1 from five starts with a Good 4 record of 2 wins from 3, and his last start was a 1st at Muswellbrook 1000m (2.3L). Jockey Mikayla Weir and trainer Ms J Bowen aren't household names, but the trip and the speed are. The weight note is 0/2 winning at 56-58kg, so I'm not pretending it's perfect. Flirtation is the danger from the same speed group, but he's the one who has to go with the leader.

Top 3 + Roughie ($9.00 pool)

1. What A Scandal (No.14) — $6.00 / $2.25
Bet $9.00 Each Way ($4.50W + $4.50P), collects $37.13 if it wins ($27.00 win + $10.13 place), $10.13 if it only places
Prob 19.3% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 1.16x Steady since tip
Why Leads from barrier 1 in a hot sprint where the leaders hold the advantage. Won at Muswellbrook 1000m last start and has the speed to go with the pace.
2. Flirtation (No.16) — $4.80 / $1.95
Bet Tracked
Prob 14.0% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.67x Steady since tip
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Angie's Sister (No.4) — $5.00 / $2.00
Bet Tracked
Prob 13.4% | Place: 38.8% | Value: 0.67x Steady since tip
Why Sits handy from barrier 8, which the shape counts against her in a hot race, but she's won at 1000m and 900m in her recent runs, so she has the class to sit in the trail and run down the leaders.

Roughie: Big Lon (No.15) — $11.00 / $3.50
Bet Tracked
Prob 7.2% | Place: 27.8% | Value: 0.79x Steady since tip
Why Sits handy from barrier 4 with a 1st at Coonamble 1100m (0.3L) two starts back. If the leaders go too hard and get tangled, he's the one sitting handy to pounce. The weight note of 0/2 at 58kg is a worry.

Race 3 – Alinta Energy

Race type: Benchmark 64, 1300m
Map & tempo: Genuine pace, with Hereward the only leader on the map and nobody pushing him from barrier 2. Cruizingthestars from barrier 1 and Alabama Showdown from barrier 3 are the ones the shape helps most. Graffiti Tycoon is midfield from barrier 14, and the shape is against him, so he needs something else to win. Baylie's Folly and the back-half runners from the wide draws have to work to cross.
Punty read: Graffiti Tycoon is the bet, and I'll be straight with you: the shape is against him from barrier 14. What wins it anyway is the finishing speed. The sectional form says his last 600m and last 400m are the fastest on the card, he's 1-3-0 from four starts, and Nash Rawiller rides him with a J@trk strike rate of 15.3%. He's also won his last two at Kembla Grange 1300m and Randwick 1050m, so the form is there. Hereward is the leader, and if he gets an uncontested run then he's the one to watch, but he's 2-3-1 with a 12th last start on the speed map. Cruizingthestars is the one most likely to be on the speed late, but I'm not paying $8.00 for a horse who finished 8th at Randwick 1200m.

Top 3 + Roughie ($7.50 pool)

1. Graffiti Tycoon (No.5) — $4.20 / $1.75
Bet $7.50 Win, return $31.50
Prob 15.4% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.65x Steady since tip
Why The shape is against him from barrier 14, but his sectionals are the fastest on the card and he's won 1 from 2 on Good 4. Nash Rawiller and a trainer strike rate of 19% at this track give him a real chance to get into the finish.
2. Hellenic Belle (No.11) — $9.50 / $3.00
Bet Tracked
Prob 12.0% | Place: 34.1% | Value: 1.14x Steady since tip
Why A real chance — but at $3.00 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.
3. Peleus (No.4) — $6.40 / $2.25
Bet Tracked
Prob 10.4% | Place: 32.7% | Value: 0.67x Steady since tip
Why Back from barrier 4 and his form is good: the 1st at Kembla Grange 1200m and Illawarra Grange 800m last starts show he's not far off the pace when things go right.

Roughie: Rolling Home (No.12) — $10.00 / $3.30
Bet Tracked
Prob 7.5% | Place: 27.8% | Value: 0.76x Steady since tip
Why Sits handy from barrier 11 and has three wins in his last three starts per the Extended Form, including a 1st at Scone 1300m (2L). If the speed on the card collapses, he's the one who gets home.

Race 4 – Toyota Forklifts

Race type: Benchmark 88, 1500m
Map & tempo: Moderate pace, with nobody mapped to lead, but Man Of Worth from barrier 2, Miss Hades from barrier 4 and Belleistic Kids from barrier 8 are the likeliest to find the front. Man Of Worth sits handy and the shape helps him (1.04). Gallant Star is midfield and hurt by the expected pace. Rock Empire from barrier 11 and China Sea from barrier 9 are the back-half runners who need cover, which means they're going to need luck.
Punty read: Man Of Worth is the bet, and he's the one who gets the trail from barrier 2. He's 3-2-3 from 13 starts, has won 3 from 7 on Good 4, and sectionals say his last 400m is the fastest on the card. Trainer C J Waller and jockey Kerrin Mc Evoy are an interesting pairing. The one I'd watch is Gallant Star. He's 6-6-5 from 27 starts, won 4 from 11 on Good, and a 9th at Randwick last start with a raced wide note is the excuse. He's a place horse at his best, and the place price doesn't pay quite enough for me.

Top 3 + Roughie ($13.00 pool)

1. Man Of Worth (No.6) — $3.30 / $1.52
Bet $13.00 Win, return $42.90
Prob 20.3% | Place: 60.9% | Value: 0.67x Steady since tip
Why Sits handy from barrier 2 in a moderate race and the shape suits him. Ran 3rd at Randwick 1400m last start (2.1L), and the sectional is his best feature.
2. Gallant Star (No.1) — $6.40 / $2.25
Bet Tracked
Prob 17.9% | Place: 54.1% | Value: 1.15x Steady since tip
Why A real chance — but at $2.25 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.
3. Rock Empire (No.4) — $4.80 / $1.85
Bet Tracked
Prob 15.1% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.72x Steady since tip
Why Midfield from barrier 11, so the wide draw is a worry and he'll need to work for his spot. His 4-0-0 on Good is good form but his last start had a bumped/hampered note.

Roughie: Charleroi (No.8) — $11.00 / $3.10
Bet Tracked
Prob 7.5% | Place: 32.7% | Value: 0.82x Steady since tip
Why Midfield from barrier 1 and the shape helps him (1.11). He's been unlucky, with a raced wide note and a bumped/hampered note in his last two. A 1st at Wyong 1600m (2L) shows what he can do when the run goes right.

Race 5 – Big Dance Qlty

Race type: Open, 1600m
Map & tempo: Hot pace, with Magnatear from barrier 8, Fully Lit from barrier 18 and Perfumist from barrier 5 all mapped to lead. Formal Display sits handy from barrier 2 and the shape helps him (1.18), with Hellsing also helped. Several of the forward runners are drawn wide and need to work to cross, including Fully Lit and Cavalry Man. Gringotts is midfield from barrier 9, and the shape is against him (0.97), so his case is built on the form, not the map.
Punty read: Gringotts is the bet, and he's a horse with the form to beat a hot pace from midfield. He's 12-6-5 from 32 starts, has won 6 from 11 at this trip, and 7 from 22 on Good 4. His last start was a 7th at Rosehill 1400m (1.7L), and the shape is against him, but he's a proven horse on the trip. The main danger is Formal Display, who won at Rosehill 1400m last start and is handy from barrier 2. I'd also watch Fully Lit, who I'm placing rather than winning from barrier 18.

Top 3 + Roughie ($14.00 pool)

1. Gringotts (No.1) — $3.80 / $1.65
Bet $7.00 Win, return $26.60
Prob 17.6% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.67x Steady since tip
Why Midfield from barrier 9 in a hot race, and the shape is against him, but he has won 6 from 11 at this trip and 7 from 22 on Good 4. Nash Rawiller is on, and the combo with C Maher has a 20.6% strike rate.
2. Formal Display (No.2) — $7.00 / $2.50
Bet Tracked
Prob 14.2% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.99x Steady since tip
Why A real chance — but at $2.50 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.
3. Fully Lit (No.5) — $10.00 / $3.30
Bet $7.00 Place, return $23.10
Prob 12.2% | Place: 38.9% | Value: 1.22x Steady since tip
Why Leads from barrier 18, which is a long way to go, so the place is the smarter shot. Regan Bayliss is on, and his 2nd at Rosehill 1030m last start (1.7L) shows he's racing well. The weight note is 0/3 winning at 58-59kg, so I'm not paying for the win.

Roughie: Magnatear (No.3) — $11.00 / $3.50
Bet Tracked
Prob 8.3% | Place: 32.7% | Value: 0.92x Steady since tip
Why Leads from barrier 8 in a hot race, and the shape is against him, but he's 4-4-3 from 20 starts on Good 4 and has the form to hang on if the others go too hard early.

Race 6 – Barn Dance Hcp

Race type: Open, 1300m
Map & tempo: Hot pace, with four horses mapped to lead: Elson Boy from barrier 11, Ishikari from barrier 9, Rose Aye from barrier 12 and Mosgold from barrier 7. Lord Remlap sits midfield from barrier 3 and the shape helps him (1.11), with Boom Torque from the back also helped. The leaders are going to go hard and the back half of the field is where the value sits.
Punty read: Lord Remlap is the bet and the case is simple: midfield from barrier 3 in a hot race that the shape suits. He's 4-0-1 from six starts, won 3 from 4 on Good, and blinkers are off for the first time today. His last start was a 6th at Randwick 1200m with a bumped/hampered note, and his form at 1200m is strong. Ishikari is the danger from the lead, but the shape hurts him at 0.75 and he's a leader in a hot race. Warrior For Peace is the one I'd watch from midfield with the weight dropping 10kg from last start.

Top 3 + Roughie ($13.00 pool)

1. Lord Remlap (No.6) — $4.00 / $1.75
Bet $13.00 Win, return $52.00
Prob 17.2% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.69x Steady since tip
Why Midfield from barrier 3 in a hot race with the shape helping him. Blinkers off first time today, and he's won 2 from 2 first-up.
2. Warrior For Peace (No.12) — $9.00 / $2.90
Bet Tracked
Prob 13.0% | Place: 32.7% | Value: 1.17x Steady since tip
Why A real chance — but at $2.90 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.
3. Ishikari (No.15) — $8.00 / $2.75
Bet Tracked
Prob 11.2% | Place: 34.8% | Value: 0.90x Steady since tip
Why Leads from barrier 9 in a hot race, so the shape works against him, but he's a 2nd at Bathurst 1300m (0.2L) earlier in his spell.

Roughie: Ticklebelly (No.5) — $11.00 / $3.50
Bet Tracked
Prob 9.5% | Place: 32.7% | Value: 1.04x Steady since tip
Why Sits handy from barrier 15, which is wide, but if the four leaders go too hard, he's sitting handy to get the run home. His 2nd at Goulburn 750m (0.3L) is the one that stands out.

Race 7 – Little Dance Qlty

Race type: Open, 1600m
Map & tempo: Moderate pace, with Jamberoo from barrier 19 and Kairos Louie from barrier 22 the only two mapped to lead, and both have to work to cross from wide. The shape doesn't clearly suit anyone. Estadio Mestalla is midfield from barrier 21, and the shape is against him, but he needs to get across the field to find the trail. Palmetto from barrier 2 sits handy and that is the best draw on the card for the speed.
Punty read: Estadio Mestalla is the bet and the form is a big reason. He's 8-13-3 from 43 starts, won 4 from 23 on Good 4, and 3 from 11 at this trip. His last start was a 5th at Randwick 1600m (2.3L) and before that a 2nd at Rosehill 1400m (0.4L). Sectionals say his last 600m and last 400m are the fastest in the field. The shape is against him from barrier 21, and I'm going to make sure you know it. I'mintowin is the danger from barrier 5, on the speed and in good order.

Top 3 + Roughie ($13.00 pool)

1. Estadio Mestalla (No.1) — $5.50 / $2.15
Bet $13.00 Each Way ($6.50W + $6.50P), collects $49.73 if it wins ($35.75 win + $13.98 place), $13.98 if it only places
Prob 19.8% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 1.09x Steady since tip
Why Shape is against him from barrier 21, but he's 8-13-3 from 43 starts and the sectionals are the fastest on the card. Nash Rawiller on board with a combo strike rate of 22.8%.
2. I'mintowin (No.2) — $3.30 / $1.57
Bet Tracked
Prob 17.6% | Place: 47.0% | Value: 0.58x Steady since tip
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Fukubana (No.4) — $4.40 / $1.80
Bet Tracked
Prob 14.3% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.63x Steady since tip
Why Midfield from barrier 1 and the 2nd at Eagle Farm 1400m (0.5L) last start is the form. His 2nd-up record at 5 starts is 3-1-0.

Roughie: Palmetto (No.6) — $14.00 / $4.20
Bet Tracked
Prob 5.9% | Place: 24.4% | Value: 0.83x Steady since tip
Why Sits handy from barrier 2 and the shape helps him at 1.04. He's 7-4-6 from 53 starts, but blinkers are off again and his last start was a 5th at Randwick 1600m (5.8L). A weight warning of 0/3 at 56-60kg is in the form.

Race 8 – Asahi Super Dry Choisir

Race type: Benchmark 100, 1100m
Map & tempo: Genuine pace, with Wanaruah the only leader on the map and nobody pushing him from barrier 2. Accredited and Brudenell from barrier 7 and 8 have to work to cross. Kerguelen is midfield and the shape helps him (1.11), while Signor Tortoni and Scampi are hurt by the expected pace. This is a race where the leader can dictate terms and the closers have to be brilliant.
Punty read: Wanaruah is the bet and he's the banker of the day. He's the only leader and nobody is pushing him from barrier 2, so the speed is his. He's 5-2-1 from 11 starts, 2nd-up 3-3-0, and he won his last three starts per the Extended Form. The tongue tie is back on, and Braith Nock rides him with a J@trk strike rate of 13.5%. The one I'd watch is Kerguelen, who is midfield and the shape helps, but he's not in the pick above $3.20 at all. Signor Tortoni has sectional speed but the shape is hurting him.

Top 3 + Roughie ($10.50 pool)

1. Wanaruah (No.2) — $3.50 / $1.50
Bet $10.50 Each Way ($5.25W + $5.25P), collects $26.26 if it wins ($18.38 win + $7.88 place), $7.88 if it only places
Prob 28.0% | Place: 70.0% | Value: 0.98x Steady since tip
Why Only leader in a genuine race, from barrier 2 with nobody to challenge him. Won his last three starts and the tongue tie is back on. The leader's track is strong at 3-0-0 at Randwick and the 3-3-0 2nd-up record is the one to watch.
2. Kerguelen (No.6) — $3.30 / $1.40
Bet Tracked
Prob 18.6% | Place: 52.5% | Value: 0.61x Steady since tip
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Signor Tortoni (No.7) — $5.20 / $1.72
Bet Tracked
Prob 18.1% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.94x Steady since tip
Why On the speed from barrier 4 and the shape is against him at 0.89. He has the sectional speed, with the fastest last 600m and last 400m on the card, so he's a danger if Wanaruah gets challenged.

Roughie: Scampi (No.8) — $9.00 / $2.45
Bet Tracked
Prob 11.6% | Place: 38.9% | Value: 1.04x Steady since tip
Why Midfield from barrier 6 and the shape is against him. His last two starts were wins at 800m, which is shorter than today's trip, so the sharpness is there but this is a step up.

Race 9 – Quayclean

Race type: Benchmark 84, 1000m
Map & tempo: Moderate pace, with Compensation from barrier 9 and Generous Harry from barrier 2 the two to find the front. Generous Harry and Hay Street are the ones the shape helps (1.18). Benevac sits handy from barrier 10 and the shape is against him at 0.75, with Where'stheprofit also wide from barrier 11. This is a short sprint where the wide draws need luck and the leaders need to hold on.
Punty read: Benevac is the bet, and I'm backing him each way, not just to win. He's 2-4-2 from 11 starts, won 1 from 4 on Good, and Nash Rawiller and C Maher have a combo strike rate of 20.6%. His last start was a 4th at Rosehill 900m (4L), which isn't disgraceful. The shape is against him from barrier 10, so this is a place play with a win option. Compensation leads from barrier 9 and has won 2 from 2 at this trip, so he's a real danger if the early pace is slow.

Top 3 + Roughie ($10.50 pool)

1. Benevac (No.3) — $5.20 / $1.90
Bet $10.50 Each Way ($5.25W + $5.25P), collects $37.28 if it wins ($27.30 win + $9.98 place), $9.98 if it only places
Prob 18.1% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.94x Steady since tip
Why Handy from barrier 10, which is wide and needs luck, but the form is there with a 4th at Rosehill 900m last start. Each way gives you two ways to collect with the place as the safer leg.
2. Compensation (No.4) — $4.40 / $1.72
Bet Tracked
Prob 17.6% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.77x Steady since tip
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Bruce I Am (No.12) — $4.00 / $1.72
Bet Tracked
Prob 15.2% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.61x Steady since tip
Why On the speed from barrier 1 and his form is strong. He's 4kg down from last start, won last start at Warwick Farm 1000m (0.3L), and his sectionals are rank 2 for both 600m and 400m.

Roughie: Where'stheprofit (No.6) — $13.00 / $3.40
Bet Tracked
Prob 8.9% | Place: 32.7% | Value: 1.15x Steady since tip
Why Sits handy from barrier 11 with the wide draw against him, but he's 6-3-0 from 12 and 6-1-0 on Good. If the leaders get tangled and he can get a run, he's a serious roughie.

Race 10 – The Agency Real Estate

Race type: Benchmark 84, 1200m
Map & tempo: Moderate pace, and nobody is mapped to lead, though Theblade from barrier 2, Mister Bianco from barrier 1 and Oakfield Jupiter from barrier 5 are the likeliest to find the front. Theblade and Mister Bianco are the ones the shape helps (1.18), and Oakfield Jupiter and Presides are hurt. Enamorada is midfield from barrier 8 and the shape is against her at 0.97, so she has to win from the trail.
Punty read: Enamorada is the bet, and she's the strongest case on the card. She's 4-1-0 from six starts, 3-1-0 on Good 4, and the time sectional is the fastest in the field. Nash Rawiller is on and the combo strike rate is 20.6%. Her last start was a 6th at Warwick Farm 821m (2.2L), and before that a 3rd at Gosford 800m (3.3L). The shape is against her, so she has to be good enough to find a run, and she is. Theblade is the danger on the speed from barrier 2, but his last start was a 10th at Randwick 1300m (5.8L), which I'm happy to ignore.

Top 3 + Roughie ($10.50 pool)

1. Enamorada (No.8) — $2.30 / $1.30
Bet $10.50 Win, return $24.15
Prob 31.4% | Place: 70.0% | Value: 0.72x Steady since tip
Why Midfield from barrier 8 in a moderate race where the shape is against her, but she's 4-1-0 from six and the sectional time is the fastest on the card. Nash Rawiller on board with a strong combo, and the price is short but the win is the right bet.
2. Theblade (No.1) — $4.20 / $1.70
Bet Tracked
Prob 20.5% | Place: 48.3% | Value: 0.86x Steady since tip
Why A real chance — but at $1.70 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.
3. Sweethearted (No.3) — $9.50 / $2.85
Bet Tracked
Prob 9.7% | Place: 36.6% | Value: 0.92x Steady since tip
Why Midfield from barrier 7 with a 1st at Caulfield 1100m (0.1L) last start. The trainer's last 100 is running cold, so I'm not chasing him at $9.50.

Roughie: Oui Oui Oui (No.10) — $13.00 / $3.50
Bet Tracked
Prob 6.9% | Place: 28.0% | Value: 0.89x Steady since tip
Why On the speed from barrier 12, which is wide, and he has to work to cross. But he's won 2 from 5 at this trip and 3 from 7 on Good, so he's a moderate-pace horse who can sneak into the frame.

SEQUENCE LANES

EARLY QUADDIE (R3–R6)

Smart: 5,11,4 / 6,1,4 / 1,2,5 / 6,15,12,5 (108 combos x $0.3704 = $40.00) -- 37% flexi
Punty's take: Every leg is open, so this is a wide, high-outlay ticket. The minimum flexi on this one is 30%, and the 37% we've got is the strongest play in the sequence set. It's a big-odds dream that pays well if one of the three open races lands a roughie, but it's HIGH risk and I'd treat it as the cheap lottery ticket it is.

QUADDIE (R7–R10)

Smart: 2,4,1 / 2,6,7 / 3,4,12,6 / 8,1 (72 combos x $0.3472 = $25.00) -- 34.7% flexi
Punty's take: Race 8 is the tight leg with Wanaruah the banker, and Race 10 is tight with Enamorada and Theblade. Race 7 and Race 9 are wide open and the ticket depends on those two. The minimum flexi is 30%, and the 34.7% here is the sensible shape for a quaddie. HIGH risk, and a quaddie needs a $5 to $10 winner somewhere to pay well.

BIG 6 (R5–R10)

Smart: 1,2,5,3 / 6,15,12,5 / 2,4,1,6 / 2,6,7,8 / 3,4,12,6 / 8,1,3,10 (4096 combos x $0.00122 = $5.00) -- 0.12% flexi
Punty's take: Six legs and five open races, so this is an entertainment-only ticket with a minimum flexi of 0.10%. It's $5.00 of fun for the people who love a long shot, and that's all it is. If you're after the dream, get on the quaddie and leave the Big 6 alone.

NUGGETS FROM THE TRACK

1 - Lord Remlap's blinkers come off
Blinkers are off for the first time today for Lord Remlap, and his last start was a 6th at Randwick 1200m with a bumped/hampered note. The gear change and the excuse both point to a horse who may be better than the last run.
2 - Wanaruah's three from three
Wanaruah has won 3 from 3 2nd-up and 3 from 4 at Randwick, with the tongue tie back on for today. Watch the market on him before the jump.
3 - Show County's long layoff
Show County is back after 159 days off with blinkers off for the first time and a $126.00 price tag. He's the longest spell in the first-up group today, so he's a bigger story than his price.

FINAL WORD FROM THE SICKO SANCTUARY

Enamorada, Wanaruah and Cabbucio are the day's spine, so back the three of them in the multi and then keep your roughie money in your pocket. The chaos races will take care of themselves. Go easy, mate, and remember the quaddie is a lottery ticket, not a mortgage.
