PUNTY EARLY MAIL, Kembla Grange (2026-10-24)

For all of Punty's tips for Kembla Grange, head to https://punty.ai/tips/kembla-grange-2026-10-24

Rightio Degenerates, Kembla Grange is sitting on a Soft 5 with 8mm in the last 24 hours and another 9.5mm over the week, so the track has a wet, tired look about it. The rail is out 4m and the card runs 1000m to 1600m, which means the sprints will reward anything that can get out of the barriers quickly and the staying races will reward anything that can sit and wait. Grab a coffee, pull up a stool and let's sort the wheat from the chaff before the first bell.

MEET SNAPSHOT

Track: Kembla Grange, 1000m to 1600m card
Rail: +4m Entire
Official going: Soft 5 (8mm last 24hrs, 9.5mm last 7 days)
Weather: Overcast, live gusts 29.6km/h, rain risk 40%+ at 08:00 and 11:00
Early lane guess: unknown pre-race, watch the first two
Tempo profile: Mostly slow to moderate early tempo through the card. Race 7 is the only genuine pace race on the day, with Mrs Flanders the only LEADER listed. Race 8 has two LEADER tags in Above The Law and Miss Emma, so that one could get a bit untidy early.
Jockeys to follow:
Keagan Latham: Eight rides on the day, including Iminastate, the Race 3 favourite at $1.75, and Scrap in Race 4.
Jean Van Overmeire: Eight rides spread across the card, including Dance With Destiny in Race 3 and Another Lahar in Race 4, the horse the data flags as pace advantaged.
Lee Magorrian: Eight rides, including Equilibrist in Race 5 and Snap Decision in Race 6, so he has a fair stake in the middle of the card.
Stables to respect:
Ms T Bateup (7 runners): Seven runners is a real presence, with Master Riley and Lady Yarrow in Race 5, Kitty Okay in Race 8 and Aegipan in Race 7.
K J Parker (6 runners): Six runners including Weekday Flyer in Race 1, Captain Peacock in Race 2 and Mrs Flanders in Race 7, who the map has as the leader.
Bjorn Baker (4 runners): Regal in Race 1, Isn't She Autumn in Race 7 and Kennedy Compound in Race 8. Four runners and a strong Race 1 horse.

Punty's take: Start with the speed, because that is where this card gets decided. Race 7 is the only race with a genuine pace on paper, and Mrs Flanders is the one horse the map puts out the front. The pace factor works against her, though, so if she gets the lead and then gets rolled she goes from pub hero to a sad story by the 400m. Race 5 and Race 8 both look moderate on the map but the ON-PACE crowd is thick in Race 5, so that's where the bunched finishes will come from. Races 2, 3 and 4 are slow-pace races, and that's exactly the sort of setup where the horse with the cleanest run through traffic beats the one that sprinted early.

The bankers are in Race 3 and Race 4 in my eyes. Iminastate is the shortest price on the card and the map has him as a backmarker in a race where nothing else is quick, so he has to be ridden well to lose. Race 4 has Reelflare at $4.00 with the top win and place numbers in that field. Then you have the mess of Race 1, Race 5 and Race 8 where the first four are all within a whisker of each other. Race 2 and Race 6 are the sort of races where you hold your nose and rely on the market and the stables.

What it means for you: Be aggressive on Iminastate and Reelflare in the Big 3, because those two stand out as the most likely winners on the card and the market has already backed both. Protect the mid-range Each Way bets and don't chase the outsiders with money you can't afford to lose. Race 5 and Race 8 are chaos races, so the wide tickets in the quaddie sequences are where the entertainment and the upside sit. Keep the locked bets as they are, because Loreal Belle, Threesome, Iminastate, Reelflare, Me Me, La Morra, Priory Park and Marchon are the horses carrying the money.

PUNTY'S BIG 3 + MULTI

These are the three bets the day leans on.

1 - Iminastate (Race 3, No.1) — $1.75
Why Shortest price on the card and the map has him dropping in as a backmarker in a slow-pace race, so he gets the run he needs. Soft form reads 2 starts with a win and a second, and the market has him backed in.
2 - Reelflare (Race 4, No.9) — $4.00
Why Holds the top win number in a race with a slow tempo and a midfield map position, and the market is firming. The field has no real early speed in front of him, so he just needs to be where the race is.
3 - Priory Park (Race 7, No.7) — $3.60
Why Race 7 is the genuine pace race and Priory Park sits just off the lead on ON-PACE, which is where you want to be when the leader is going to be under pressure. He has been backed and the Good 3 record shows one win from three starts.

Multi (all three to win): $10 × 25.20 = $252.00

Race 1 – WesTrac Mdn Plate

Race type: Maiden, 1200m
Map & tempo: Moderate pace. ON-PACE: Alpha Zeta (No.1), Loreal Belle (No.4), Regal (No.9), Reine De Cristal (No.10). MIDFIELD: Baqueira (No.2), Let's Be Honest (No.3), North Star Miss (No.5), Weekday Flyer (No.6). BACKMARKER: Titian Highlight (No.11). UNKNOWN: Dame Malvina (No.7), Envious (No.8). Reine De Cristal carries a pace disadvantage flag.

Punty read: Loreal Belle (No.4) is the staked pick, and the each-way is the bet because the map puts her ON-PACE in a moderate race, which is the sweet spot for a horse that wants to be handy without having to lead. Three soft starts for no wins, but she has placed once on the surface and her last start was a fourth at Kembla Grange 1400m. Regal (No.9) sits right on her shoulder on ON-PACE and is the danger, with the Hawkesbury run as the excuse he was held up. Weekday Flyer (No.6) is the one I'd watch because the blinkers come off first time and the last start was a sixth at Kembla Grange 1600m, bumped and hampered. Envious (No.8) is the roughie with ear muffs and a lugging bit both on for the first time, and his map is UNKNOWN so nobody knows where he settles.

Top 3 + Roughie ($15.00 pool)

1. Loreal Belle (No.4) — $3.90 / $1.65
Bet $15.00 Each Way ($7.50W + $7.50P), collects $41.63 if it wins ($29.25 win + $12.38 place), $12.38 if it only places
Prob 20.6% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.80x ▼5% since tip
Why ON-PACE in a moderate race is the right place to be, and her last two starts were solid placings at metro level. The soft record is 3 starts with a third and no wins, so she has to prove it, but she is the one most likely to hit the frame.
2. Regal (No.9) — $3.60 / $1.62
Bet Tracked
Prob 20.2% | Place: 57.1% | Value: 0.73x ▼22% since tip
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Weekday Flyer (No.6) — $6.00 / $2.10
Bet Tracked
Prob 15.2% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.91x
Why Blinkers come off first time and he has a second and a third on the record. He is a midfield horse in a moderate race, which suits him, and the excuse line says he was bumped at Kembla Grange last start.

Roughie: Envious (No.8) — $9.50 / $2.80
Bet Tracked
Prob 7.8% | Place: 32.7% | Value: 0.74x ▼5% since tip
Why Ear muffs and a lugging bit both go on first time, and the map is UNKNOWN, so he has no settled position to lean on. His path is a clean run from a wide draw if the top pair go too hard, and a Soft 5 surface gives him a chance to pick up the pieces late.

Race 2 – CSR Building Products Mdn Plate

Race type: Maiden, 1200m
Map & tempo: Slow pace. ON-PACE: Strike A Pose (No.3). MIDFIELD: Captain Peacock (No.1), Geryon (No.6), Torpedo Tube (No.11). BACKMARKER: Threesome (No.10). UNKNOWN: D'arizza (No.4), Darn Sure (No.5), Leica Fox (No.7), Pyra (No.8), Satiri (No.9).

Punty read: Threesome (No.10) is the staked pick and the each-way is the call because he is the only BACKMARKER with a real map, which tells me the early speed is in front of him and he is going to need a clean run through the field. Good 2 is two starts with a win, and the Rosehill 1030m second last start is a good line in a poor-looking race. Winkers go on for the first time today, so that's a gear change to watch. Satiri (No.9) sits in the unknown group but the market has him backed and the trainer has numbers. Pyra (No.8) is the danger because ear muffs go on first time and the trainer is HOT.

Top 3 + Roughie ($15.00 pool)

1. Threesome (No.10) — $4.20 / $1.65
Bet $15.00 Each Way ($7.50W + $7.50P), collects $43.88 if it wins ($31.50 win + $12.38 place), $12.38 if it only places
Prob 20.3% | Place: 52.4% | Value: 0.85x Steady since tip
Why Wins from two good starts and a clean last-start placing at Rosehill. In a slow race the backmarker has to be on the ground at the right time, and with winkers on first time the staking has him in the frame. He is the strongest hand in the Each Way.
2. Satiri (No.9) — $3.70 / $1.57
Bet Tracked
Prob 17.3% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.64x Steady since tip
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Pyra (No.8) — $4.50 / $1.70
Bet Tracked
Prob 16.1% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.72x ▲7% since tip
Why Ear muffs on first time and a trainer in red-hot form. Warwick Farm 813m fourth last start is a fair run and the Hawkesbury 800m third shows he can handle the distance.

Roughie: Captain Peacock (No.1) — $14.00 / $3.20
Bet Tracked
Prob 6.1% | Place: 25.0% | Value: 0.85x Steady since tip
Why Midfield in a slow race and last start he was bumped and slowed at Kembla Grange 1300m. A clean run from the back and a Soft 5 could make him the one to run late.

Race 3 – Baines Masonry Midway Mdn Hcp

Race type: Maiden, 1600m
Map & tempo: Slow pace. MIDFIELD: Dance With Destiny (No.2), Moon Flash (No.6), Still Rising (No.11). BACKMARKER: Iminastate (No.1), Got Bingo (No.3), Andelise (No.4), Charlie Hustle (No.5), Neferusobek (No.7), Presumptuous Gal (No.8), Rubilace (No.9), Sonho Dourado (No.10).

Punty read: Iminastate (No.1) is the staked pick, and the bet is a straight Win because he is the shortest price on the card and the map puts him in a backmarker crowd in a slow race. That is the kind of setup where a horse with his speed rating can sit back, saves ground, and pounce. Soft 2 is two starts with a win and a second, and he has been backed through the market. Dance With Destiny (No.2) is the one to watch: winkers on first time and a midfield map in a race with nobody in front of him, so he doesn't need a lot of luck to go close.

Top 3 + Roughie ($13.00 pool)

1. Iminastate (No.1) — $1.75 / $1.07
Bet $13.00 Win, return $22.75
Prob 44.4% | Place: 70.0% | Value: 0.78x ▼3% since tip
Why The best horse on the card on the numbers, and the backmarker map suits a slow race because he can sit wide of the trouble. Soft 2 with a win is enough to back him here.
2. Dance With Destiny (No.2) — $3.00 / $1.22
Bet Tracked
Prob 28.2% | Place: 70.0% | Value: 0.85x ▼12% since tip
Why A real chance — but at $1.22 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.
3. Moon Flash (No.6) — $7.50 / $2.00
Bet Tracked
Prob 10.1% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.76x Steady since tip
Why Midfield in a race with no pace, and he has the form to be in the thick of it. The excuse sheet has him bumped and raced wide in his last two starts, so he is due a clean one.

Roughie: Charlie Hustle (No.5) — $14.00 / $2.90
Bet Tracked
Prob 6.2% | Place: 34.1% | Value: 0.87x ▲7% since tip
Why A backmarker in a slow race with a sectional record that shows he finishes well. A Soft 6 record with a third is his best chance of getting into the placings.

Race 4 – The Builders Club Super Mdn Hcp

Race type: Maiden, 1400m
Map & tempo: Slow pace, with Another Lahar (No.4) the advantaged runner. ON-PACE: Imperial Code (No.3). MIDFIELD: Another Lahar (No.4), Only Trust (No.2), Moordyup (No.7), Reelflare (No.9), Scrap (No.10). BACKMARKER: Mikkie (No.1), Billapaloola (No.5), Husslaa (No.6), Wave Blaster (No.11).

Punty read: Reelflare (No.9) is the staked pick, and the Win is the bet because he holds the top win and place numbers on the card and sits MIDFIELD in a slow race, which is a great spot for a horse that finishes well. His Good 1 record is one win from one, and the market has him steady. Imperial Code (No.3) is the danger with blinkers and ear muffs both on first time, and a gelding that the form line points to as a factor. Billapaloola (No.5) is the one to watch because he is a backmarker in a race where the pace is slow, so if the closers get home he could run through.

Top 3 + Roughie ($13.00 pool)

1. Reelflare (No.9) — $4.00 / $1.65
Bet $13.00 Win, return $52.00
Prob 26.8% | Place: 61.5% | Value: 1.07x Steady since tip
Why Midfield with the top price on the chance chart and a trainer who is HOT. Good 1 with one win is the only surface line, but a slow tempo gives him the cleanest run.
2. Imperial Code (No.3) — $4.80 / $1.75
Bet Tracked
Prob 16.9% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.81x ▼2% since tip
Why A real chance — but at $1.75 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.
3. Billapaloola (No.5) — $4.00 / $1.65
Bet Tracked
Prob 13.9% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.56x ▲5% since tip
Why Backmarker in a slow race is a risk, but his sectionals show he has the fastest closing speed in the field. Good 1 has no wins, so the surface is a question, but the closing ground is there.

Roughie: Scrap (No.10) — $11.00 / $3.00
Bet Tracked
Prob 8.4% | Place: 32.7% | Value: 0.93x Steady since tip
Why Midfield with a trainer who has numbers and a jockey who has been riding winners. The sectional ranks show he has the speed to finish, and a Soft 1 record could be his way into the placings.

Race 5 – UTJ Interiors Provincial (Bm64)

Race type: Benchmark 64, 1500m
Map & tempo: Moderate pace, with Master Riley (No.11) and Lady Yarrow (No.13) advantaged. ON-PACE: Bondi Blossom (No.5), Monkhana (No.7), Master Riley (No.11). MIDFIELD: Flying Arabesque (No.6), Midori Giant (No.8), Yes Siree (No.9), Creator Of World (No.12), Lady Yarrow (No.13). BACKMARKER: Dances With Hooves (No.3), Equilibrist (No.4), Me Me (No.10).

Punty read: Me Me (No.10) is the staked pick, and the Win is the bet because he is the most likely winner on the chance chart and his form has a Kembla Grange placing line that fits a moderate race. Track form reads 13 starts with two wins and two seconds and the market is soft at $3.90. Equilibrist (No.4) is the danger from the backmarker spot, and his Kembla Grange win on the surface is the line to remember. Master Riley (No.11) is the ON-PACE horse who has the weight form showing he has been carrying a lighter load in the past, and the market has backed him in.

Top 3 + Roughie ($10.50 pool)

1. Me Me (No.10) — $3.90 / $1.72
Bet $10.50 Win, return $40.95
Prob 19.4% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.76x ▲3% since tip
Why Two wins from his track record and a second and third at Kembla Grange last two starts, with a race that looks moderate on the map. The weight form has a warning on heavier loads, but that doesn't change the picture here.
2. Equilibrist (No.4) — $7.50 / $2.50
Bet Tracked
Prob 15.1% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 1.13x ▲14% since tip
Why A real chance — but at $2.50 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.
3. Master Riley (No.11) — $5.50 / $2.15
Bet Tracked
Prob 12.7% | Place: 38.9% | Value: 0.70x Steady since tip
Why ON-PACE from a good draw and a market that has backed him in heavily. He has been placed on soft and the jockey is hot on the last hundred rides.

Roughie: Monkhana (No.7) — $11.00 / $3.10
Bet Tracked
Prob 7.2% | Place: 28.8% | Value: 0.80x Steady since tip
Why ON-PACE in a race with a moderate tempo and the weight form shows he has been running at heavier weights. Soft 8 with three thirds is the one to watch if the top pair settle.

Race 6 – Illawarra Toyota Conditional (Bm68)

Race type: Benchmark 68, 1600m
Map & tempo: Slow pace, with Satness (No.1) and La Morra (No.10) advantaged. ON-PACE: Satness (No.1), La Morra (No.10). MIDFIELD: Fiftyfivechevy (No.2), Bulla Vinaka (No.12). BACKMARKER: Cap D'ail (No.3), Tom Cruising (No.6), Sneaky Choice (No.7), Alottosay (No.9), Snap Decision (No.11).

Punty read: La Morra (No.10) is the staked pick and the Win is the call because he is one of two ON-PACE horses in a race with a slow tempo and a pace advantage on the data. Track form is four starts with one win and a placing, and his last start was a fifth at Kembla Grange 1400m. Satness (No.1) is the danger, also on the speed in the same race with the pace advantage. Snap Decision (No.11) is the one I'd like to see run, with the weight form showing he is 7kg lighter than last start and the market has moved onto him.

Top 3 + Roughie ($7.50 pool)

1. La Morra (No.10) — $3.40 / $1.50
Bet $7.50 Win, return $25.50
Prob 19.2% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.65x Steady since tip
Why On the speed in a race that looks slow with a pace advantage on the card. Track record has a win and a placing from four starts, and the last-start fifth at Kembla Grange was a reasonable run.
2. Cap D'ail (No.3) — $4.00 / $1.55
Bet Tracked
Prob 16.1% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.64x ▲3% since tip
Why A real chance — but at $1.55 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.
3. Sneaky Choice (No.7) — $6.00 / $2.00
Bet Tracked
Prob 14.6% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.88x Steady since tip
Why Barrier blanket on first time and two bumped runs in his last two starts. Track form is strong at four starts with two wins, so the excuses could turn into a bounce-back.

Roughie: Alottosay (No.9) — $18.00 / $3.60
Bet Tracked
Prob 2.9% | Place: 16.7% | Value: 0.52x ▼6% since tip
Why Backmarker in a slow race with a sectional rank showing he closes well. He needs the leaders to go hard, which might not happen here, so this is a long shot with a path.

Race 7 – Coates Hire (Bm64)

Race type: Benchmark 64, 1000m
Map & tempo: Genuine pace. LEADER: Mrs Flanders (No.6). ON-PACE: Don't What Me (No.3), The New Sinatra (No.4), Priory Park (No.7), Isn't She Autumn (No.9), Aegipan (No.10). MIDFIELD: Indecisive (No.1), Against The Law (No.2), Queen's Rhapsody (No.5), Excelluna (No.8), Li'l Grug (No.11). Pace advantaged: Don't What Me, Queen's Rhapsody, Li'l Grug. Pace disadvantaged: Mrs Flanders.

Punty read: Priory Park (No.7) is the staked pick and I'm backing him on a straight Win because Race 7 is the only genuine pace race and he sits just off the lead in ON-PACE, which is where the strong finishers want to be. Track form is not much, but Good 3 with one win and his last start was a third at Warwick Farm 821m, which was a good run. Mrs Flanders (No.6) is the one out in front but the pace factor works against her, so she either gets the lead and gets rolled or gets stuck in the lead and runs out of gas. Queen's Rhapsody (No.5) is the one to watch because the pace advantage and the closing sectionals line up with a horse who finishes fast. Excelluna (No.8) is in the midfield with a place value line, and that could be a cheeky pick.

Top 3 + Roughie ($15.00 pool)

1. Priory Park (No.7) — $3.70 / $1.65
Bet $15.00 Win, return $55.50
Prob 23.7% | Place: 59.3% | Value: 0.88x Steady since tip
Why On the speed in a genuine pace race, which is where he needs to be. His last start was a third at Warwick Farm 821m and that is his best recent run. The Good 3 record shows a win, and the market has him steady.
2. Queen's Rhapsody (No.5) — $4.00 / $1.65
Bet Tracked
Prob 17.6% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.70x ▲11% since tip
Why A real chance — but at $1.65 the place the numbers don't give me enough edge to insure with. Watching, not betting.
3. Against The Law (No.2) — $5.50 / $2.05
Bet Tracked
Prob 13.6% | Place: 46.1% | Value: 0.75x Steady since tip
Why Kembla Grange 800m first last start is a strong recent run, and he is midfield in a genuine pace race where the leaders are likely to tire. Excuse sheet has him bumped in his last start at Warwick Farm.

Roughie: Mrs Flanders (No.6) — $18.00 / $3.90
Bet Tracked
Prob 6.2% | Place: 25.6% | Value: 1.11x Steady since tip
Why She's the one out in front and the map says the pace hurts her. If the pace collapses she is the one who keeps going, but I wouldn't bet on that happening.

Race 8 – Master Builders NSW (Bm64)

Race type: Benchmark 64, 1200m
Map & tempo: Moderate pace. LEADER: Above The Law (No.4), Miss Emma (No.18). ON-PACE: Marchon (No.5), Mogwai (No.6), Kitty Okay (No.8). MIDFIELD: Wild Thoughts (No.3), Chemtrail (No.7), Star Half (No.10), Be Quiet (No.11), Brutal Belle (No.12), Dolly (No.13), Up To Mischief (No.14), Viipuri (No.16), Point Score (No.20). BACKMARKER: Los Padres (No.1), Atmospheric Rock (No.2), Master Yoda (No.9), Can Expect Greater (No.15), Kennedy Compound (No.17), Captivating Tycoon (No.19). Pace advantaged: Chemtrail, Be Quiet. Pace disadvantaged: Above The Law, Kitty Okay, Miss Emma.

Punty read: Marchon (No.5) is the staked pick and the each-way is the call because he sits ON-PACE in a race where the two LEADER tags have the pace factor working against them. Track form is fine, and his last start at Scone 1100m was a win on a soft surface. Kitty Okay (No.8) is the one to watch because his map is ON-PACE and the market has him backed. Chemtrail (No.7) is the pace-advantaged midfielder with a Soft 11 record showing three wins. This is the chaos race, with 20 runners and no runner above 15% on my numbers.

Top 3 + Roughie ($8.00 pool)

1. Marchon (No.5) — $5.50 / $2.15
Bet $8.00 Each Way ($4.00W + $4.00P), collects $30.60 if it wins ($22.00 win + $8.60 place), $8.60 if it only places
Prob 8.7% | Place: 29.3% | Value: 0.48x Steady since tip
Why ON-PACE in a moderate race with two leaders who are pace disadvantaged, so he is in the right spot. The last start was a win at Scone on soft and the market has backed him in from a longer price.
2. Kitty Okay (No.8) — $11.00 / $3.50
Bet Tracked
Prob 8.6% | Place: 27.8% | Value: 0.95x Steady since tip
Why The top pick's each-way already covers the place angle here — doubling up is paying twice for the same insurance. Tracked instead.
3. Chemtrail (No.7) — $11.00 / $3.50
Bet Tracked
Prob 7.6% | Place: 27.8% | Value: 0.84x Steady since tip
Why Midfield and pace-advantaged, with a Soft 11 record that shows three wins and two seconds. His last start was a win at Goulburn 1100m on soft.

Roughie: Brutal Belle (No.12) — $11.00 / $3.50
Bet Tracked
Prob 5.6% | Place: 24.1% | Value: 0.62x ▼18% since tip
Why Midfield in a moderate race with a Canberra win last start on soft. The weight form warns that she has been running well at lighter loads, so if the top horses fold she could sneak in.

SEQUENCE LANES

EARLY QUADDIE (R1–R4)

Smart: 9,4,6,8 / 10,9,8,1 / 1,2 / 9,3,5,10 (128 combos x $0.3906 = $50.00) -- 39.1% flexi
Punty's take: Race 3 is tight on the favourite, so the Iminastate leg is short, but Race 1 and Race 2 are open enough to keep the ticket alive. Four legs with three open races and a 30% flexi floor. This is a solid play if the early races go to form, but it's a long shot to pay big on the day.

QUADDIE (R5–R8)

Smart: 10,4,11,7 / 10,7,3,1 / 7,2,5,6 / 5,8,7,12 (256 combos x $0.3125 = $80.00) -- 31.2% flexi
Punty's take: All four legs are open races, so the ticket is wide and the outlay is high. The flexi is 33.9% against a 30% floor. A quaddie needs a $5 to $10 winner somewhere to pay well, and this is the one for the punters who want the big payout.

BIG 6 (R3–R8)

Smart: 1,2,6,5 / 9,3,5,10 / 10,4,11,7 / 10,7,3,1 / 7,2,5,6 / 5,8,7,12 (4096 combos x $0.00122 = $5.00) -- 0.12% flexi
Punty's take: Six legs, five of them open races, so this is entertainment only. The flexi sits at 0.12% against a 0.10% floor and the total outlay is $5.00, so treat it as a ticket for the fun of watching the last race.

NUGGETS FROM THE TRACK

1 - Blinkers come off first time for Weekday Flyer
Blinkers: OFF (first time) for Weekday Flyer in Race 1, and the excuse sheet says he was bumped and hampered in his last start at Kembla Grange 1600m. Watch the market on him.

2 - Visors come off first time for Still Rising
Visors: OFF (first time) for Still Rising in Race 3, and the weight form shows a warning at 59kg with 0 wins from 2 at that weight. The market has drifted from $91.00 to $151.00, so the money is not backing him.

3 - Three first-up runners, three different stories
Dame Malvina (Race 1, No.7) is 115 days off, Another Lahar (Race 4, No.4) is 137 days off, and The New Sinatra (Race 7, No.4) is 171 days off. Quite the spell hangover for a Saturday at Kembla, so the fresh horses have a lot of questions to answer.

FINAL WORD FROM THE SICKO SANCTUARY

Soft 5 at Kembla, four races in a row of maidens and benchmarks where nobody is going to lead you by the hand. Back the horses you'd want at the pub, keep the Each Way bets tidy, and let the chaos races pay your entertainment bill.
